Anyone know the color code of the incoming chat bubble in the stock messaging app? I really like that shade of light blueish-purple or whatever color it is but I am having a tough time trying to mimic it in handcent, which uses RGB sliders.
Thanks.
do a screenshot. (Hold Vol and Power) and then view the screenshot on your PC and use GIMP or a photo program to view the color code. I used this app to do that.

I have a question regarding the stock lockscreen (i.e. the default touchwiz lockscreen):
When I receive an email I see no notification on the lockscreen but when I receive a sms message I see a notification on the lockscreen. Can anyone tell my how I can enable it so I can see a email notification on the lockscreen area? And I am not talking about a notification in the notification on the top, which I get. I am using the Samsung email client (i.e the default one).
Thanks
I'm searching for this as well. I didn't even know that new sms notifications would show up on the lock screen until this morning.
It's a really nice built in feature. If it would show emails and missed calls too I wouldn't need an app which would be preferred.
I haven't seen anywhere to edit anything other than the wallpaper of the lockscreen although the manual makes it sound like you can simply long press to edit.
Is this hidden in Samsung Apps or somewhere we wouldn't think to look?
Testing:
Missed calls show too. I guess just Emails don't which is a little odd.
Only missed calls and text messages show on the lock-screen, the only customization allowed on stock lock-screen is clock position and of course the lock-screen wallpaper.
Music widget will also show on lock screen if your using the Samsung music player
Thanks, I didn't know about the music player showing.
Emails would be really nice. A quick link to the camera would be the only other thing.
Good enough for me to not use an app (widgetlocker) though.
1. Whenever I choose a background on Handcent SMS it doesn't give me the option to crop it, it's all blurry and ugly! Does anybody have any idea on how to fix? I've never had this problem on any of my other phones.
2. Whenever I use Ringdroid or some other apps, it only uses half the screen and the bottom is black. Are there any settings I can change ?
When we receive any calls on our xperia, the default white led flashes which is kinda boring.
I need an app which can change this to another color.
Also need to change colors of sms and missed calls as well.
Can we get the file in the system rom where we can directly make manual changes rather than using app?

After upgrading to EMUI 9, the default contacts images in darken interface are some mountains (bluish and greenish) for the contacts without pictures. It is possible somehow to change to a complete black background, like in EMUI 8?
You can enable Simple view through Display preferences, which hides details like profile pictures, company name etc, about your contacts

Doesnt help. If someone call or when I call somebody (contacts without pictures) the greenish and bluish mountains screen appear, not a full black screen like in EMUI 8.
Yep. I don't like this either. Might have to try a different caller app?
I have tried everything and nothing works. It is driving me mad. Does anyone knows how to remove wallpaper from alarm clock. I got forest wallpaper and spent twenty seconds to find snooze button. I want my black back.
I hope someone will find soluton.
There are some dark themes for the clock.
Incoming call is not supported in the theme.
Does anyone know what controls the background color of the Pop-up notifications, also known as Heads Up notifications? Not the Samsung edge lighting pop-ups, but the regular Android Pie ones? Mine are an ugly yellow/brown color, and I'm not sure why or if I can change it. It doesn't seem to be affected by night mode or Samsung themes. Any ideas?

Have you already tried settings - lock screen - notifications?

Yes, that can change the transparency of these on the lock screen, which is great, I like them fully transparent, but none of the options there affect notifications while the screen is unlocked.
I realize some Samsung users may not see these, instead turning on the Edge Lighting option which captures these notifications and turns them into white bubbles that can open an app in a multi window. But those who don't use Edge Lighting, what color are your heads up notifications?
Googling about this just brings up hundreds of pages of instructions on how to block the heads up notifications, and nothing I can see about their appearance, so that's why I'm asking the forum here.
I would be curious to know if we can change this as well.
ANother thing I'd like to modify is their postion - why do they not start from the very top of the screen?
I dunno if you guys have figured it out or not but you can control the colors using QuickStar in Good Luck. BG color and font color of the heads up notification is the same as the Quickpanel colors. The only thing you gotta watch out for is that the panel BG alpha (or opacity) doesn't carry over to the heads up notification. So if you choose a white BG and set the opacity to 50% it will just be a 100% opaque white in the heads up notification.
PS: this website's mobile version is horrible.
