Hi! Yeah, I'm new here, first I speak spanish so I'm sorry if my english is not good.
I have this phone and I want to install apps like N.O.V.A, Dead Space, etc etc. ! But I don't know why, memory or graphics I can't play it. But, I read on google and watched videos on youtube about people that ran the games on this phone without problems so, what I need to do to play games like N.O.V.A, Dead Space, NFS Shift, etc etc etc. in my phone? With root I can make it ?
Other question, making root doesn't delete my contacts or my archives inside the SD, or delete the installed apps ? Sorry, I'm new with samsung.
well if you are on stock rom then i can see why you cant play those games, the people in the videos you said probably had a custom rom. Stock roms aren't that great, and no, rooting does not delete contacts or anything. But putting custom roms on your phone do delete contacts so make sure to back them up on your sdcard or sim or sync with google. Good luck

As the S5830M is the same as S5830i you cannot flash that ROM

I wouldn't say so you just have to look for a custom won for your type of ace
Download HVGA version of the games and use Chainfire 3d with qualcomm plugin

First I gotta tell you if you wanna do so you're gonna have to use cracked version of these games but on the other hand its developers fault that didn't make these games for our phone and this is the price they have to pay.
Here is the instructions.
First of all you need to install a custom rom tell me if you need help with that. Next your gonna have to partition your SD (swap partition basically again tell me if you need help with that) to smooth out some games like dead space. All of which will wipe all your data so copy all the images and videos on SD to PC then backup your contacts to Google servers so once you add your account to the new rom all your contacts will come back.
Now (sorry xda and devs but again this is the devs fault not mine) go to either 4shared.com or galaxy-ace.ru (I suggest galaxy-ace.ru cause everything there works and is cracked for ace but the web is in Russian which is no problem-if you use Google chrome it will easily be translated into English or ur language) and download the games you desire my friend. Have fun. And remember I have been through all that myself so I know what I'm saying ;-)

sams5830m, I also have a 5830m, have you learned howto get ICS or JB onto your machine? I just read here that the 5830i and 5830m were the same, hard to believe since they have different suffix letters, but I'll check it out. As someone in the forum said, only impossible is impossible.

There is thread on the Evo 3D CDMA development section by "freeza" about "dissecting and Modding a rom". There is some good tips about where and how to get set up. After that - read, read, read, learn, read and try until you get it right. Making a rom is difficult and will take time to learn properly.

Hi, couldn't post this in development, forum wouldn't allow it. In any case, I have Energy rom installed for my Amaze, the new 3/10 version, and since I first installed this rom a month or so ago, the checkbox icons throughout the OS show up as the SRS Enhancement icon. No reason why, but I've posted a picture to show what I'm referring to.
I was wondering if there was a way to fix this. I've wiped and reinstalled, and still get the same result. I've also flashed the correct kernel, so I don't think that's the issue.
Any suggestions or solutions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did you reg wipe or super wipe, Id try super wipe, if you dont have the zip ask Srtx. She? always post one =D

Sorry we derailed your thread there. Hopefully someone can help you get this fixed.
Edit: I read this wrong -_- i see the problem
But just use a theme that uses boxes completely, like the ICS theme or the Energy theme out there
If you have a skin other than the one that comes with the Rom, this might happen

I use this one personally. Apaquette420 has a sweet theme also. You can find them in the Amaze's themes and apps forum

Hello, i have buy a Tablet Called Spice III 8" is from greece, he is running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and Cpu: Cortex A8 1Hz, i have the follow problem, when i go to instal the google play the instalation is complete with no errors, when i go to open i got the message " unfortunately google play store has stopped" any one know how to fix that? or maybe i do something wrong.

Can you search in google to get the root checker app...
Watch a video on youtube abt booting into recovery for ur device....
U have to flash the super user zip.installing it doesn't do tge trick.....

Hello again, no i am a noob, and i understant what i say, i am old user on Android, i have do many root on mobiles, and actually i am old also on Apple jealbreak etc, so i know what i do, the problem with this tablet is not exist any info on google or on youtube, propably is china build and have be renamed in greece with Brand Turbox Spice III is how is called, if you can find anything on google about that or youtube then you are smarter thatn me because i did and found nothing, also The shop who sell it is denied to give any info even simple like how i can enter the recovery mood, because they say they sell it like it is, and they dont provide info for modifications.

If u bought it from a shop first hand... and the tablet is android, then where the hell did playstore go..???
Any android phone/tablet comes with the google apps preinstalled...
And what do u mean by u have many root on ur phone??
I didn't try to offend u... but i will nw..
If there is no info abt the tablet in google/youtube y the hell u buy it in the first place. I'd do some research before spending.... and i never said I was smarter than u.... and lastly I said i was not able to help u becoz u don't knw if ur tablet is rooted, u can't boot into recovery of the device(neither can I) and I don't have ever come across a situation like this...

And u cud have said that in the op instead of saying 'i have bought a new tablet'...
Don't beleive see for urself... secondly, i have wasted enough time trying to help u... u could have written in the op itself, that u have no idea if the device is rooted, that the shop installed a fake market app which is crap,.... and that the guyz at the shop didn't tell u how to boot into recovery... I wouldn't wasted so much time writing this much and help u spam a section... becoz installing playstore is a straight forward process and is dine by the way i have told u.. either flashing zip via recovery or by intalling apk and fixing permission via recovery.....
And their other guyz whom i have helped solve the same problem via same method... So, I knw what I am saying... You are urself confused..... this is my last reply to u... someone else maybe able to help.. I am sure there are others who knw some other ways that might be useful...

Did you read the post for the KF that I linked to, I said to use those instructions. Step 4 says to use a file explorer with superuser permissions to set the file permissions. So go to Google Play and search for "file explorer superuser permissions" and you'll see Root Explorer and ES File Explorer in the results. Both will work, but ES is free.
Once again the process to install Google Play once you have root is the same for any device as long as they are on the same version of Android. So there is tons of info out there about how to do it.

Updates Here are a couple of flashable zips with a better version of the bootanimation imho. They both are in qmg format. Probably only will work in stock firmware but if anyone tries it in CM or KitKat roms report if it works or not. I installed it with TWRP but should install with CWM. Just make sure to mount system before installing. As always you want to back up your originals in case you want to go back to them.

No, I'm currently using the Nexus Jelly Bean Animation but yours looks nice so I'll give it a try now
EDIT: Tried it. It's nice but it isn't very clear (its a little pixelated)

simple steps for installing custom bootanimation
Hi guys i have a simple steps for those who wanna install a custom bootanimation on their samsung s advance phone...
(Your device must be rooted)
1st, i suggest that you must use or have the ROM TOOLBOX apps.
2nd, download the bootanimation that you wanna use, choose that compatible with your device, in this case, SGSA.
3rd, open the ROM TOOLBOX apps, go to iINTERFACE tab, look for BOOT ANIMATIONS and tab it.
4th, after that, it will bring your root file and search for ROMTOOLBOX, tab it, search for boot_animations, tab it, choose your disire bootanimation, install and reboot.
Opsss, i almost for got, if you download it to your device, copy the file to roomtoolbox(in your /sdcard > boot_animations > paste

This thread is for JellyBean, not Gingerbread. So not sure it will work on the Jellybean roms... if people choose to do so, you do it at your own risk... just lettin' ya know.
Installing Custom Bootanimation
as promised, i make screenshots for easy to understand how to install custom bootanimation on your device i start with the ROM Toolbox apps If you download the bootanimation file into your PC, just copy the .zip file, search the romtoolbox folder > boot_animations and paste the file in it for the next step, refer attached images

you must have in bootanimation.zip your original samsung boot animation.... see in the first post thread link i think it contains..
you can also download it with that root boot animation app....:good:

not the bootanimation.zip. maybe the bootanimation4u tho. there are two files that go to system/bin. if it works make sure to give credit to the developer of that please.

As I promised, Take this goodie from me. Another Stock Kitkat. This is based on F180L firmware.
This is only flashable via Philz Recovery. No other recovery is supported as of now.

Most things are fixed. It includes Stock music app, Stock boot animation from LG(I really like this!). Integrated vu talk with the contacts app. Knock Off support, Three finger Slide, OSP and many more things you will just love,
This is just a test version, so some things do not work!
1st when you install the rom, the1st screen greets you with English, suddenly this changes to Korean(it might be other also). Again change to English in the same page. Then it fixes to English.
2nd Root does not work. You have to flash SuperSu
3rd MTP SD card is not working. means when connected to computer, the SD is showing as blank. Media scanner is also failing. Will see this soon.
4th, 5th, 6th you report...
Now the detailed steps:
1. Flash Philz recovery
2. Flash Stock KK Thanks to @Level99 for the hosting.
3. Flash SuperSu
4. Enjoy and report bugs!

Downloading now, will report my experience tomorrow when i flash it, unfortunately my dsl connection is only 2mb/0.5mb at home, and i already went over my data cap for my cellphone. But thank you so much for your work. :good::good:
One small suggestion @gourab4u can you put the md5 check-sum of the file, that way i and others can check if the ROM is downloaded correctly before flashing, and thank you again!

Did u face any problem with WiFi ? i tried porting the ROM and WiFi wasn't working ... even Logs were not helping in figuring out the things
EDIT : For getting pics , music in gallery & music player from external SD , download app "SD Scanner" From Market ,
Open it & change the path to scan from "storage/emulated/sdcard0" to "storage/sdcard1"
Let the scan complete .. u'll be able to see all the stuff from External SD & also some stuff will be accessible in computer
via MTP Mode ...

You can try my rom, once it gets mirrored. No problem like that in my rom. I too use Windows 8.1
