[help] htc jetstream keeps restarting - HTC Jetstream

Hi,
I followed the steps on htcdev to unlock bootloader for my htc jetstream.
Once I finished and pressed the power button, my device kept restarting on after htc screen.
Would please help me solving this?

Try connecting it to the computer, run command promp with adb etc all set up. Try the command adb reboot bootloader. With that you will end up in the bootloader. Here perform a factory reset and then restart your device. It should set things right. If unable to use the command, then try holding down the volume down button and press hold the power button at the same time. Sometimes in a bootloop, it works and gets you into bootloader. I prefer the 1st method with adb because it works always and moreover, in bootloop you need to get the timing for the volume down.and power button thing to work. Hope it helps.

(Solved!) Unable to boot into fastboot mode on my Nexus 10

I have tried holding down the volume buttons and power button several times the past three days and nothing. The device vibrates and nothing happens. If I continue to hold the buttons then it vibrates every 6-7 seconds. I also tried to get into fastboot using a toolkit in our development section with no luck. The toolkit says I'm in fastboot when connected, but nothing is on my screen. I posted the issue in our forums and figured I'd branch it out to general for some answers.
At this point I am at a complete loss. If I can't get it to work is that a valid reason for replacement by Google?

Is there any solution to this? Im having the same problem
Same problem here as well. Tried to unlock bootloader via nexus toolkit and ended up in a bootloop. Then tried to boot into recovery to fix but holding down power + volume up + down never shows a visable fastboot menu. I thought surely I was missing something obvious but I've come across several people with the same scenario so there must be more to this. I was able to reflash stock firmware but I still cant reach a visible fast boot menu.
Please post your solution!
I was never able to get a visible fastboot menu, and still can't actually. My solution was to follow the toolkit exactly by pushing the buttons that would correspond with the menu if I could see it. For example, when it says to go into fastboot I would command this using the toolkit, then when it indicates I am in fastboot mode I then pressed volume up to be sure I had 'yes' selected, then pressed power to accept. Take this as an example, because I don't remember the exact switchology the process calls for. Either way, it got me unlocked and rooted no problem.

Thanks. I was finally able to root and flash custom recovery with Wug's toolkit (thinking the problem may have been some sort of outdated/incompatibility issue with the Nexus 10 toolkit) but, like you, i still don't have a visible fastboot menu. I can use the QuickBoot app to boot into recovery and everything works fine otherwise so I can live with it, but I'd ultimately like to figure out what the issue is and fix it.
EDIT: For those experiencing this phenomenon, the fastboot menu is still there. It's simply not visible. I've found that to access your custom recovery you can hold Power + Volume Up + Volume Down until the tablet vibrates twice (once to shutdown, then a few seconds later to acknowledge fastboot menu). After the second vibration, you should be in the fastboot menu, although the screen is blank. Pressing the Volume Down button twice then the Power Button will allow to you boot into custom recovery.

HELP? broken power button & need to get to boot loader

I'm in a bind, I flashed wrong kernel on my s-off original hboot shows NOTHING. Complete black screen although its fully booted cuz I can feel haptic feedback when i press the back button. Problem is my power button is not working properly, it has a short so I cant hold the power + vol down to get to bootloader. Is there anything else I can do to (excluding use of holding the power button) get back to twrp while its booted in this state?

nice! good job bud, just keep ADB and Fastboot on your comp. it really comes in handy

HARD BRICK almost for sure

Hey members,
Short and accurately: I had flashed recovery to the newest version, then I clicked "Reboot recovery", and now I have a black screen with no response for:
Vol Up + Home + Pwr
Vol Down + Home + Pwr
Connecting while pressing Vol Up
Connecting while pressing Vol Down
ADB doesn't see device
Fastboot doesn't see device
LG Flashing Tool doesn't see device
Just no response. The only thing I see is OMAP4430 device in Windows Hardware Manager, I've installed drivers for it, it shows while I try to turn on the phone while connected to the PC, devices list is refreshing all the time, than after a few minutes "OMAP4430" disappears. It becomes visible again when I try to turn on the phone while connected to the computer.
So is that a hardbrick? Is it possible? OMAP4430 Device showing in Win HW Manager is a proof that the phone "lives" some way. What do You think about that? I'd be very happy to get some advices from You.
Regards,
tajson
PS. Sorry for not the best English.

maybe you've got a similar problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2331408
Try taking out the battery for about thirty seconds then replacing it. Boot up normally. Good luck.
Also could try holding down the power key for ten seconds which should turn your phone off. Then reboot.

Yeah, I'd try that. Also maybe try holding the power button a few secs without battery. I had a laptop I was sure was dead and this helped. Voodoo maybe, my theory is discharging capacitors though. Doesn't hurt to try. Also try spamming a fastboot command to reboot into bootloader in the few seconds the driver's working-maybe it would break the loop. ' fastboot reboot-bootloader'

I know you said you tried but have you paved the phone in s/w upgrade mode? I saw you said you tried vol down plus connecting but wanted to be sure. Could definitely be a bad download. I had the same problem where I flashed cwm the first time but taking out the battery helped me.

Almost successful!
OK, so it's comming on the right way! I had finally done successful fastboot connection and flashed the recovery "recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.1-p760.img" from the original cwm site.
Code:
img18.imageshack.us%%%%%%%%/img18/6063/dy9m.png
( wipe all the "%" and copy to a new window to see the screen )
But... The screen is still black. I've tried fastboot reboot-bootloader, it says it was made successful, but screen's still black. What to do now?

tajson

flash xloader and uboot http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292828
that way at least you should be able to enter into s/w upgrade mode
Are you sure you unlocked the bootloader before flashing the recovery img?

[Q] PleASE HELP. How to enter twrp from computer

i soft bricked my phone when installing the cyanangen 12 rom, it quit during the setup wizzard. The button combination of down and power release when seeing lg and repressing is not working. PleASE TELL ME i can enter twrp without having to restore my phone to stock. The phone will receive phone calls but that is all it does. otherwise it says setup wizzard quit and endlessly says this when you press ok. please help, despite being in los angeles, i have not found anybody capable of helping me.
Patrick--in so much need...
What is the repressing step? I've never heard of that. Isn't it just vol down and power, then release power while still holding vol down until recovery boots?
Also, do you have adb or fastboot installed on a pc? If so, adb reboot recovery from CMD if in android, or fastboot reboot recovery if in bootloader. Have you tried those?

You don't have to release the buttons, idk why so many people keep saying this. Should be the same as mine.. With the phone off just hold both power and volume down until you see it say Recovery Mode loading, then release. If that doesn't work then try the adb command while plugged in to your computer.

How do you get into bootloader if phone is bricked? It sees the phone, but it won't open up and let me look inside? Thank you
A window comes up and says that the kernal cracked.. My phone is having a hard time getting charged, could this be related?

Correct. Do not let go of the Vol Down Button until the white screen ask you if you want to reset. And answer YES to both questions.

IF you do have TWRP installed it will take you to it. If you dont then ... Good luck.
You can always download Terminal Emulator
Type in
Code:
su
Press Enter
Code:
reboot recovery
Press Enter
Instead of Terminal Emulator, You can download G-Script Lite.
Its basically just like Terminal Emulator but you can save commands like reboot recovery.
Its the only thing I really use it for since my Power Menu doesnt have the option yet.

I cant use my device at all. When it boots up i get system UI stopped working repetitively. I can boot into download mode and fastboot mode. i had TWRP installed and had no name rom running and booted into TWRP then did a data, dalvik and cache wipe and started getting this issue so i believe TWRP is still installed. Im running windows 10 and the LG Flashtool stops working while trying to read the phone information
