Hi,
I've tried to port Xperia X10 rom on Desire with AndroidKitchen, and installed it on my phone.
It boots, I can see the SE lockscreen.
What works :
-trackball
-notification LED
-power button
-power off menu (silent mode, airplane mode...)
What doesn't work :
touchscreen (due to lack of multitouch driver, I think)
WiFi (untested, should work with fixed radio)
Bluetooth (untested, should work with fixed radio)
SD Card
Fixed things :
Radio/baseband
After some time, there's a weird noise, and the device reboots.
Many things untested, as I can't unlock screen...
Could a talented dev take the project over, and make that rom working for the Desire please ?

Fixed radio. SIM card is read now.
To fix radio :
-flash the latest radio via fastboot (radio.img inside zip) : 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23
- flash latest RIL via recovery (flashable zip) :
32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23_RIL
- Put this build.prop into /system (remove included one first) :

Well I would like to port X10 ROM onto Desire.
It should be the last release by SE, Android 2.1.
There's a lot of problems in that ROM, at least I can see something on screen, and navigate through menus with trackball (only when first config, was unable to unlock screen when it locked)
U will need to replace the files in system/lib/egl folder except the lib_Android.so
To get display to work perfectly
Then libril and libril-qc-1.so for gsm
Many other files
What do u like in that ROM ??;

Its quite small rom, but really beautiful one.
And also I want to start in ROM porting...
But I'm a newbie in there, and I need some help.

Why are you even wanting that ****? I've been stock on the Mini Pro Version Stock rom for a loong time (Yes have been on our Un-Official 2.2 Rom) - But seriously, that is just crap.
X10 Mini Pro is not the same rom than X10.
X10 offers more features...

Take it, go to attached files.

I have a Galaxy 5 player (YP-G70), UK version, flashed with RJs 2.6.35.7 kernel, and the stock international European ROM ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574207 )
The build prop has been edited to show GT-i9000 as device id to get some games working, and I have applied the adrenaline and supercharger scripts. The LCD density is set at the stock 240.
For some reason certain launchers on the market show as incompatible with my device (ie Zeam and Lightning Launcher) - even tho I downloaded the Zeam apk from the dev site and it works perfectly.
I would really like to play with Lightning - does anyone know why the market is saying the player is incompatible with these launchers ? I am thinking maybe they ask for SMS / Dialler rights which obviously the Player cannot provide ?
I currently have FTL Launcher Lite installed from market without a problem.
1. I'been writing earlier but there wasn't good answer and now there's now thread. So i have no mouse cursor in exmiui 2.8.10. I have lupus kernel v2 with installed modules. I checked framework and there is icon and other files for this. I don't wan't to change this miui version to newer version. I checked most roms and it's workin in cm10, cm9, hasa miui.
2. I changed dpi to 140 . Now I need google play market with changed dpi to 160 inside. I checked a lot of modded markets but nothing works for me. Don't write to me to change back dpi to 160 'cause love miui lookong with 140 dpi and launcher 4x5. Just give me checked and working app.

Today I will present you : No SMS / MMS convert
This is my first mod for android and was formed more as a personal need and because of stupid default settings which is present on android OS .
Maybe others may experience this problem when compose a SMS larger than 480 characters (3 sms) the message will be automatically converted to MMS which is annoying especially if you have unlimited SMS or the MMS will charge your bill useless .
To avoid this SMS conversion you can use third-party software like GO SMS Pro , Handcent SMS , chomp SMS and maybe others , personally I prefer the standard application .
Following instructions from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1065452 I was able to recompile default SMS application and change the parameter which automatically convert SMS to MMS from 3 to 100 .
Installation steps :
(your phone must be rooted)
Download attached SecMms.zip
Extract SecMms.apk
Copy (overwrite) on your phone under /system/app/
Restart your phone
Enjoy ,
Let me know if you have any issues using this mod .

Is this actually an deoxed version of I8190XXAMA2 ? Because it has different file size than mine (mine is nearly 8.5 MB)

No , this is not the deoxed version , is the stock rock , only SecMms.apk has been modified and replaced .
