Can't install MiniCM9 on my E10i - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hey all.
FIRST OF ALL - I did searched through all the "organized" forum of yours and still coulnd't find anything about my problem....
Here's what I get:
I have the stock rom on my E10i (it was rooted) and wanted to install MiniCM9, downloaded the flash tool, flashed couple of times but nothing happened, in the log there was this error
ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CLASS="SECURITY_CLASS";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed"
it happens when I turn on the phone with the Back button pressed, then it gives me this error, and after that several connect/disconnect loops and nothing...
Would someone be so kind as to find me/write me a step-by-step guide? Please bear with me, I've been trying to do it all day....
P.S. With all due respect, your forum is the most disorganized thing I've ever seen in the entire internet

I guess you tried to flash the nAa-ics kernel?
You need to unlock your bootloader, but first check to see if it's safe.
If that's successful, then the kernel will flash normally and you can install MiniCM9
(and by the way: the forum is not going to get any more organised if you ask your questions in the general section instead of where they belong: in the Q&A section)

Unlock your bootloader...flash with the correct flashtool which you can find in several posts....install the driver from flashtool and then flash the new kernel

1. rooting
2. save ROM into SDCard
3. unlock bootloader
4. flash kernel (ICS kernel)
5. flash ROM with CWM
CMIIW :good:

If our forum is super unorganized why are you asking for help here?

THIS Problem SOLVED BY FOLLOW THIS FAQ :
FIRST U NEED s1tool.exe.
-Run s1tool.exe.
-Hold down the Back button on your phone as you plug in your phone into the computer using a USB cable.
-Click the “Identify” button in s1tool.
The message window (left pane) in s1tool will either show “SEMC SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE” or “SETOOL2 SIMLOCK SERTIFICATE”. That means you can safely unlock the bootloader. If the message says “NOT RECOGNIZED SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE”, style=”text-decoration: underline;”>do not proceed with the rest of this guide.
-Close s1tool.
-Run FlashTool on your computer. It will automatically detect your phone.
Click on Plugins > X10 Unlock > run on the FlashTool menu.
-You will be asked to put the device in flash mode. Follow the onscreen instructions.
Towards the end of the bootloader unlocking, the phone will automatically reboot. Once it reboots, FlashTool will try to detect it. If FlashTool detects it successfully, the bootloader unlocking has been successful.
-Close FlashTool.
AND NOW THIS PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED AND U CAN FLASH UR DEVICE

you mean you cannot access the x-recovery right..?? try the tool in my signature n install the CWM recovery from it.. After installing CWM recovery with the tool reboot your phone.. press the back button when sony ericsson logo comes and your done.. you can now flash Custom ROM's with CWM recovery..
Also, double check which baseband you have. It should end in x015 (x being the rest of the number). If not then you'll need to flash to the correct version. My minipro wouldnt enter xrecovery/cwm until it had been flashed to it, like you the backbutton did nothing and I couldnt find a solution for a few days.
My phone came shipped with android 1.6 and previous baseband. If you look around the forum for basebands you should be able to find it. Flash with flashtool.

Having the problem it iscoolbutton.ocx, tried the fix and still the sameproblem. My baseband ends in 15. When I run the Flashtool it gives this message:

And then phone restarts. Any ideas?
I've done it. Installed the E10_nAa-10_2.6.29.6-nAa-10 kernell and worked. Now the problem is does detect my SD Card.
Nothing that a Format to my SD card didn't solve.

I found the solution for my problem, I hope it helps somebody else.
steps:
1. download Flashtool-0.5.0.0beta (ask me if you want a link)
2. download s1tools (version doesn't matter)
3. install flashtool, and restart your computer (don't install gordon's gate yet0
4. plug in your turned on x10 mini(it needs to be in usb debug mode as well)
5. wait for flashtool to recognize it
6. on the menu click on plugins, unlock boot loader(or something similar),run
7.you will get some response like this:
Root Access Allowed
INFO - Searching Xperia....
ERROR - Please plug you device in flash mode
you will get it multiple times, even a popup window indicating how to put your phone in flash mode.
8. unplug your phone and turn it off
9. now go to the directory where you installed falsh tool, drivers folder, and install gg(gg setupxxxx.exe)
10. now connect your device in flash mode(turned off, connect to pc while you hold the back button)
11. your phone will restart a couple times, just wait.
12. in my case the process ended when it rebooted in recovery mode(i had cwm recovery put in already),I manually rebooted, and voila !!!
BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED !!!!
13. run s1 tool and double check, you know, the cap letter and stuff, it shouldn't be cap anymore

What is the "original way"?

[Q] [Noob] Bootloader unlocking via Flashtool not working

I'm a complete noob, all i ever did was flashing a ROM, so please don't shoot me...
So i started by reflashing 2.3.3 stock firmware. I downloaded flashtool and installed it on my pc (0.7.1.0). I rooted the phone and installed xRecovery. So now i wanted to unlock my bootloader to flash FeraLab 17.
I installed the s1 tool to check if my phone is good to be unlocked, and it says it's fine. And now i go back to flashtool to start the unlocking: plugins> bootloader unlock> run.
So all is fine till i get to this point. When i unplug my phone and power it off and then press the back button and plug it back in it says the following:

I have the same problem KingRafox. And i've tried several method including the link posted above.
Please make sure you have enabled usb-debugging in your current rom before starting with this!!
flash the azuzu kernel downgrade ftf with flashtool
disconnect usb cable, press power button until phone vibrates shortly and immidiatly connect the usb cable again (it is supposed to be stuck at SE logo)
start the batch file for unlocking bootloader, cause it says press any button before it starts, it won't start unlocking until you press any button
now wait until flashtool recognizes your x10 (if flashtool doesn't do anything, check third post please! thx)
close flashtool and then press any button in the cmd window that the unlocking process starts (please close flashtool, instead the bl unlock cmd and flashtool are constantly killing and restarting adb!!) <--- failed!!
after unlocking is finish you have to flash azuzu kernel upgrade
now power on phone to check if the phone is starting after the unlock (if you are using a custom kernel yet with the bypass method and get stuck in a bootloop enter xrecovery and clear dalvik-cache, then your phone should boot up again fine)
power off phone and flash dooms ck v05-fs with flashtool
now flash the wifi modules for dooms ck with recovery. (atm the update.zips are for xrec, but for sure please always check dooms kernel-thread if there is anything changed)
power on phone again and if everything is right, read the line under that one
WOOOHOOO!!! Here you are with unlocked bootloader, custom kernel directly loaded AND without reflashing any rom, means you have kept your current installation
If you aren't seeing the se logo at turning on phone, but directly the custom kernel logo, you were succesfully. If you want to enter xrecovery you have to spam the back button now if the xperia logo appears instead of the se logo.

I've followed these instruction but it failed when running the unlock file (qsd8250_semc.cmd). It says that it failed to get root access or something. (I'll post the log later on).
I also flashed to stock 2.1, downgrade the kernel and tried using x10 Bootloader Unlock Tool (with the big "Unlock Bootloader" button). But failed.
If anyone have any other methods or any suggestion, i'm all open.
Thanks for replying.
Guys,
I've finally unlocked my bootloader using "The proper method".
The mistake (i think) was, I was on generic 2.3.3 when I use this method.
I flashed back to generic 2.1 and ran the unlock tool. When finished I check back with S1tool, my device show "r" and not "R" Yeaa...
Note that, I failed to unlock my bootloader when I was on 2.1 and 2.3.3 using latest Flashtool.
Thanks guys.
Guys,
I encountered the same situation when I using the least version of Flashtool (0.7.1.0), it always display - WARN - Cancelled
So I roll back to use Flashtool (v0.6.8.0) then plugins> bootloader unlock> run, it works
i'm using FlashTool_0.2.9.1-GBready_root_xRec, flash without any error. Try find it. .
Guys
Make sure your SEMC SIM LOCK status supported by doom kernel (forgot about status lock or unlock cause I tried only 1 times and get lucky)
from my expirence.. some many devices will be locked for the networks and it will give you EMERGENCY CALL and you OUT OF LUCK!

What the hell, I'm still having the same "disconnect" problem as in the original post.
Let me ask you all if I'm missing something here:
1) I have a new, Vodafone-locked X10 mini Pro.
2) I downloaded Flashtool latest
3) I used it to root the phone (ok, it worked)
4) I use the Plugin menu, then Unlock Bootloader, then you know the rest.
Am i missing something here?
Should I change kernel or install a recovery first?
If only every device was as easy as the SGS's...
Thanks guys
try this

Thanks DJ.
I've managed to Unlock the bootloader still yesterday, i don't know why or how, but it worked.
The difference from my previous post is that I started the process with the phone already in flash mode, then reboot, then flash mode again, and then the Flashtool did everything (even saying Bootloader: UNROOTABLE)
My difficulty after that was to flash CWM. It's funny but that next step is not explained anywhere.
Are these the correct procedures?
Stock Phone > Flashtool:Root > Flashtool:Unlock Bootloader > CWM (???) > Flash Image > Flashtool:Kernel
It's strange why:
1) There is no CWM to flash from Flashtool
2) The kernel cannot be flashed from CWM
CWM recovery is built in to kernels like doomlords v6 multi recovery or FXP kernel. You will have to flash a CWM based kernel to get CWM recovery
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
There should be an install recovery button in ft which allows u to install cwm or xrecovery
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Or flashing KCernel v3, got CWM recovery and Xrecovery in one.

As I'm a noob. I have no idea whether to flash the fxp 123 with our without bootloader. Anyhow.. as my question says.. I can't do ether.
odd,
i actually did the exact same thing and its fine here.
this is what your trying to do yes ?(below)
•flash the azuzu kernel downgrade ftf with flashtool
•disconnect usb cable, press power button until phone vibrates shortly and immidiatly connect the usb cable again (it is supposed to be stuck at SE logo)
•start the batch file for unlocking bootloader, cause it says press any button before it starts, it won't start unlocking until you press any button

•WOOOHOOO!!! Here you are with unlocked bootloader, custom kernel directly loaded AND without reflashing any rom, means you have kept your current installation
a.have you tried checking the S1Tool to see if you can unlock ive seen people saying its just not an option.
b. what are you choosing to flash ? i actually selected kernel straight away on the downgrade part
maybe use the s1tool and post that so people can respond to that
No. It says I only have to flash the X10_V1_BLRelock.ftf, if I'm going to a custom ROM afterwards.
Have I misunderstood?
i guess its me misunderstanding
could you like me the thread where you got the file from or your guide
if your unlocking your bootloader i find it odd that the file says BL''RELOCK''
anyways this is the guide i followed and worked like a charm.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254087&highlight=blrelock
the first post has the guide and my files were called the following
qsd8250 (zip file wich held the qsd8250_semc.bat)
wich allowed me to unlock the bootloader (this file had nothing to do with flashtool)
only used flastool for 2 things.
1) downgrade kernel
2) after qsd8250 was done unlocking bootloader to upgrade kernel to doomkernels V6 for UL bootloaders (was my choice of kernel)
That was the guide I used too.
"If you aren't keeping your current device configuration (because of flashing another rom after unlocking bootloader or anything else) the simplest way to unlock is to flash stock 2.3.3 rom, root it and use the bl unlock plugin from latest flashtool"
So i took the flash thing named bl_something..
---
As it seems that was wrong, can you give me a quick tutorial, as I didn't quit understand your way. and this one mention and easy way to do it if you'r going to change ROM at once.
tutorial read beyond the big text http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254087
basicly it says this.
1) get the files you need
semc bat is for x10i and x10a. But only if you haven't tried any simunlocking
the bl unlock file from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1253277 - thanks to the_laser
Kernel up/downgrade for flashtool from here: - thanks to azuzu im using FlashTool_0.2.9.1-GBready_root_xRec
and a custom kernel for Unlocked bootloaders (since your unlocking it )
i used doomkernels v6 for UL BL
Wifi modules for kernel if needed mine had it built in
and then the guide tells you to do this
Please make sure you have enabled usb-debugging in your current rom before starting with this!!
•flash the azuzu kernel downgrade ftf with flashtool
(i opened flashtool selected flash and then selected 'kernel downgrade' and in the other tab i skipped the 'loader' and selected 'kernel')
•disconnect usb cable, press power button until phone vibrates shortly and immidiatly connect the usb cable again (it is supposed to be stuck at SE logo)
(it asks you to do this and so i did)
1) turn off phone
2)unplug phone
3)hold back button
4)stil while holding back button plug phone in
5) flashtool takes over and you can let go
•start the batch file for unlocking bootloader, cause it says press any button before it starts, it won't start unlocking until you press any button
(when its done open the qsd8250 file wich you unzip(ped) and start the qsd8250_semc.cmd)
•now wait until flashtool recognizes your x10 (if flashtool doesn't do anything, check third post please! thx)
•close flashtool and then press any button in the cmd window that the unlocking process starts (please close flashtool, instead the bl unlock cmd and flashtool are constantly killing and restarting adb!!)
•after unlocking is finished you have to flash azuzu kernel upgrade
(same deal as the downgrade)
•now power on phone to check if the phone is starting after the unlock (if you are using a custom kernel yet with the bypass method and get stuck in a bootloop enter xrecovery and clear dalvik-cache, then your phone should boot up again fine)
•power off phone and flash the kernel you downloaded with flashtool
(the one you picked as said i used doomkernels v6 for UL BL)
•now flash the wifi modules if its needed with xrecovery. NOT FLASHTOOL!!!!
•power on phone again and if everything is right, read the line under that one
If you aren't seeing the se logo at turning on phone, but directly the custom kernel logo, you were succesfully. If you want to enter xrecovery you have to spam the back button now if the xperia logo appears instead of the se logo.
and thats it
all thnx should go to 9Lukas5 since i just copy / pasted evrything that he wrote
It's stuck here at the upgrade...

And when are the bat file finished, it didn't give a clear message, so after a while i exited it.
the bat file auto exits when completed cant remember but it asks you to press any key again and when you do it auto closes
make sure thats done and make sure you do this while flashtool is closed
so close flashtool before pressing any key in de bat file
and i dont see an error in the flash tool info you posted ? how is it stuck ?
i dont know if it matters but i actually upgraded straight away to the kernel i wanted to use
so instead of doing the kernel upgrade delivered with flashtool i upgraded to doomkernels v6 ULBL
seems like your almost there
The upgrade didn't continue..
I'll try your method instead, as for the bat tool.. it's "stuck" at the *daemon started successfully*
ah yeah ok
its bat file first while flashtools turned of
then when it auto closed turn flashtool back on and upgrade
I don't think you understood my explanation
First I downgraded
then I started the bat

I think u may be missing adb drivers on ur pc
Sent from my Xperia X10 using XDA
I think you might be right.
First, after a while just having the bat file opened this pops up: "error: protocol fault (no status)". Whatever that means, and it get stuck at the deamon thing again.
however when I start flashtool while having the bat file open it starts killing the apb server because it is out of date.
now.. what is adb server and how do I update/Install it?
Also, when I get this apb server thing installed ( can anyone link? ), can I use FXP 123 to upgrade with?
edit:
I used another computer, as I was away from my main computer. I got no problem with the adb server there, other than windows defender, but I manage to allow it
now, back to the question above: Can I install FXP 123 as custom kernal? instead of upgrade?
Thats what i did but with doomkernels v6 and no pro lems here ... maybe just to be safe flash the upgrade first then your fx123 its how the guide told us to do it
Sent from my X10 using xda premium
and so I did
Then I installed CM7 FXP123 .... stuck at CM7 loading logo
any idea what happend?

btw, thank you so much for the help so far! I really appreciate it and ofc used the thanks button! ^^
Redo de wipes ... enter recovery if you can? Its the rom loadin not kernel is it?
Then full wipe
Wipe cache partition
And wipe dalvik cache or whatever its called
In xrecovery its in adv option i believe
Ive googled some more and dalviks cache alone might even be sufficient
Sent from my CM7 Zmod / doomkernels v6 UL BL X10!
(And all that without bricking it) so far atleast.

To fully run adb u need to download java runtime environment and android SDK. The reason I think its adb is because it stops after saying starting daemon. This I think is adb starting

Got everything working now.. except, I don't have a market app
As I said I just used another computer and the bat file worked, and after wiping all data as Bjornlindekens suggested I got it running.
Thanks all!
this is what i found so far.
(Amaurilol)
''Try finding an apk file for the market. Uninstall the one of your phone and install the downloaded one.''
http://www.filecrop.com/google-market.apk.html
flash google apps.zip if there is one ?(for your rom)
can you locate the market app in your settings/applications ?
only found 1 simular problem and doesnt say if its solved or not
and
(Ynkamat)
''Or else do a manual install of market app. We have a lots of them in apps section. Fix permissions. Use android commander from pc and install that app as a system app. But you need google account and its services to detect''

Problem with fastboot in my phone

Hello guys.Im new in this foroum and a newbie on android.I have a question and i would really appreciate if someone could answer.I have xperia neo v with 4.0.4 android and 2.6.32.9 kernel.I have rooted my phone with this method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1695514
So here is my question.I want to flash a custom kernel to my phone and either with flashtool or fastboot tool it gives me an error. It says that the phone must be rooted first.I have unlocked bootloader.Thank you in advance
Why following that over-complicated tutorial, and mess with flashing GB then this, than that, when there is easier tutorial(s) on our general section..
Not sure how you unlocked your BL, but it's still locked. Actually maybe you unlocked BL, but your fastboot is still locked, which is more likely since you say that you unlock BL.
btw. please edit your thread title, to reflect your problem, so that other peoples can find it easier, if the get same problem.
thank you for your answer my friend. Now on the bootloader mater i used the secret code and says to me bootloader unlocked:yes. So the bootloader is unlocked for sure. Can you please tell me how to unlock my fastboot?
ok guys problem solved. It was the bootlader at the end.I miss understood and i thought that my bootloader was unlocked
simply if you have unlocked bootloader just
1.connect neo in fastboot mode by pressing the menu key for 2 sec and then connecting it with usb cable when the phone is switched off now the notification light turns blue now leave the phone.
2.open flashtool and press flash button
3. choose fastboot mode to flash kernel
4. on pc a screen opens in which you can see in right side by doomlord there select SELECT KERNEL TO FLASH
5. after that browse for img file of the kernel and select it and flash will be started u can see it in the main screen after flash is completed wait for 2 sec and disconnect the mobile from the pc, waiting 2 sec restart the phone ur kernel will be changed!!!!!!:fingers-crossed:
note- keep an eye on the correct kernel you choose for the correct rom!

Guide [for beginners] - How To Unlock Bootloader via Flashtool

I am assuming your phone can be bootloader unlocked and you have unlocking key from sony.
If you don't know then refer to this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159
WARNING: IT WILL WIPE YOUR PHONE DATA SO MAKE BACKUP
1. Install Flashboot and Fastboot drivers of Flashtool (setup file will be on C:\Flashtool\drivers or similar place).
2. Turn on your phone, and connect with usb debugging on.
3. Go to Plugins-> Bootloader Unlock option, start it.
4. Now it will ask to disconnect your phone and reboot in FLASHMODE.
5. Again reboot your phone in FASTBOOT mode.
6. It will show a window with your IMEI number, insert your unlock key and click "unlock".
7. The device will reboot and you are done!
FLASHMODE
You can get into flashmode by pressing specific hardware key and connecting phone to pc via USB.
It will glow GREEN LIGHT on led if done correctly.
Hardware key-
Back Button (X8, X10, X10 mini, X10 mini pro, Play, Arc, Arc S, Neo, Neo V, Pro)
Volume Down Button (Xperia U,P,S,Sola)
FASTBOOT Mode

yes, turn off your phone then connect USB while pressing specific key.
same applies for fastboot method
When I am installing drivers, I am getting "don't install or install anyway", I choose install anyway but the same window comes up again. Should my phone be turned on, off or in flashmode or something?

did u check that your device can be unlocked or not?
Yes I checked, it can be unlocked
If you have installed Flashtools and its drivers correct you shouldn't get any driver prompts when plugging the phone in
Assuming you did a default install browse to C:\Flashtool\drivers and execute the drivers file. Make sure you select the drivers for you phone ie "Xperia U" and scroll to the bottom of the list and select Flashboot and Fastboot drivers. From what I have seen so far most people are not installing these 3 drivers.
karimkahale: I would go back to the Sony website and get your unlock code again. Maybe you entered some wrong details...
Please help me out,

Thank you for this tutorial mate!
It's better if we can get unlock key from flashtool

Thanks a million, but would my warranty be void immediately after I unlock the bootloader, what's the regulation about this matter, I'd like to keep my warranty.
---------- Post added at 10:00 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:45 AM ----------
If i relocked the boot loader the warranty wouldn't be void, right?
Not quite;
It all depends on your repairman...
The standard, though, is, that the warranty is valid if the guys at the repair center can flash a stock ROM (.ftf) onto the phone. Some phones can do this without their bootloader being locked, but some can't do this after their bootloaders are unlocked, even if they are locked back afterwards...
Now, I have a question:
I'm having the same error as karimkahale...
Whatever I do, I get that stupid error, and not even Sony can help me (their support team (that needs a week to reply to a simple e-mail) said that thy don't know how to help)...!
Thanks a lot for the guide, it was really helpful!
Cheers!
Relock the Bootloader
Can we relock the boot loader using flash tool???
