Thank You Sir :good:

I tried it, but still the same problem, face unlock doesn't appear in the list.

Don't you have it in security options in settings??

Yep, works perfect.
Very nice...
I feel CSI now

Still the same problem, I tried te reflash it with cache cleared, factory reset, but still no face unlock... Really want this...

i had the same problem try this because it worked for me:
1. switch phone on and off
2. go into camera - front camera - take a picture
3. go to settings/security/face unlock
wahla it should be working now!
hope this helps!

Still the same problem... I hope someone can have a solution...

I was missing the face unlock after flashing to ICS, I had to take a picture with the front facing camera to get the option to show up.
Thanks for that post.

That didn't work for me. I hope that a version from another country will come soon and help.

couldn't find any face unlock in Xperia S. none of these threads works. any new ideas???

I installed the Italian version and got the face unlock now.

Just wondering how accurate the facecunkock is? i.e. if you took yourself smiling, can you still unlock it even when you are not? or how about if you have an identical twin, does it recognise the difference?

Pretty much self explanatory
Camera was working yesterday
Today its not :'(
I had this a few days back - turns out i'd been using the phone in 'torch' mode, and it had turned itself off after a while, but obviously didn't release the led function back to the camera.
When I cycled the torch back on and off again it was fine. I imagine rebooting would do the same thing?
Hope that helps a little!
yes, just reboot the phone and it will work again, had the same thing
have tried multiple reboots and even taken the battery out! not too sure what im supposed to do....may just reflash the original rom again to see if it makes a difference

just a question, but had you changed the lcd density before the camera failed? if so, did you adjust it below 182?
nope, lowest i set it to was 210, but that screenshot was taken at the norm 240
ok its happened again!!! i flashed the latest update and rebooted and it was fine, camera app loaded up fine...once i installed a theme it was saying the same message!!!! is this a hardware fault? i can hear the camera clicking every time it switches on
Just flashed the original firmware back onto it, the o2 one and its saying the same thing.....is this a hardware fault?
***************EDIT******************************
So i did a factory reset and the camera really is working now
anybody have a clue why this is happening? its slightly annoying....going to debrand and root to see if i can locate the problem...

At the top of the security does it say "screen lock"? Select that and select none.

It worked ! I tried clicking screen unlock, and it asked for my password. I got freaked out and just backed out of the whole thing. I didn't realize it was asking me for my password so that I could remove the screen lock.
Haha. Thanks so much. I appreciate the help. Glad I didn't have to refresh the Rom.

Nypon-CM 11 got a serious NFC issue

Nypon CM 11 is awesome rom i tried it but it has a huge problem and which is you cant disable/switch off NFC. i tried the root del app to disable / freeze even i try the unistall too but after that what i got is whenever i want to goto settings it crashes.
I wish if dev's solve this problem. because NFC drained so much amount of battery which make that ROM completely useless.
First flash the rom, restart and you can turn nfc on or off.

[Q] Did i brick my Z2 ?

Hi there,
I had a rooted Z2 with an unlocked bootloader, running the Existenz ROM. I wanted to try something else, and i liked the Carbon ROM on here, so i tried to flash this. i'd picked the Sirius version, so everything was fine, and i checked everything (i think). Although the installer said "successfull", my phone won't reboot. The only thing it does is vibrate when i press the power button. Even when i try to charge it, the notification led won't light up..
What can i do to fix it, or has it become an expensive "throw-away" piece of glass ?

I see, thank you for the advice - I will look into it later on. I don't need unlocked bootloader for that right?

Just change your region to Germany or Switzerland and check for update.

Thanks, I managed to force it through. I couldn't do it through recovery since MIUI recovery 5.0 doesn't have update option. So I did it through updater - choosing an installation package
I'm in the the UK and the update is waiting for me. Not too bothered about it tho as it's MIUI and that means for every bug fix means at least 2 new bugs.

I know what do you mean, I had same doubts. But it actually solved a lot of issues for me with images and messenger bubbles for example
