I also want to know if I can simply flash any rom to my device (I9100g) or it should be I9100?? I'll attach a screen shot of my settings, and I hope any one can help me out.

First, you posted in the wrong section. No Questions on the General forum, that's why exists a Q&A forum. [Q&A=Questions and Answers]
Second, you can't ask info about best ROM/Kernel, etc, otherwise you will be infracted.

Hi guys
The title pretty much says it all, how to root a MT6575 phone that runs on Gingerbread. Rooting a MT6575 that has ICS on it is not a problem but on Gingerbread it's a whole different story.
Any idea? Thanks

Hi everyone,
I need you help please, I’ve got SG2 GT-I9100P and it does switch it self 2-3 times a day. I did some reseach and the best way to fix it is by updating it and trying another ROM. Thai’s why I would like to update it to JB 4.1.2,
I’ve been searching online and found a lot of reports regarding the update and alot of ROMs and now I am really very confused and don’t know which rom, apps should I use to root and update my S2.
Could anyone please explain how to update my S2 ( step by step) and which files should I use to do this task (download links).
All Infos about my S2 are listed below.
Many thanks in advance

You will lose NFC and we kinda have a lot of threads regarding this matter.
Go to general section and you'll see a sticked thread about LS8 (pag. 750 +).
