I am trying to get together all the files needed to flash the phone back to complete stock, boot.img, recovery, system......I want to put a tut together along with my upcoming ACS Rom and need the files. Thanks.
This does not belong in development... to get back to stock, you need stock recovery which nobody has dumped yet. If someone would be kind enough to dump everything with heimdall, that would be great.

Hey All,
I'm new here but I've been reading threads. I've had and OG droid up till now and was running CM 6.1.1.
I've rooted my fascinate using SuperOneClick and I was able to make a backup once using clockwork mod right after I pushed it to the phone with ODIN but since then it comes up with the stock recovery. I tried to use and update zip to push CWM but that errors out and I have to do a battery pull.
I wanted to post in the threads where I got the tar and zip files but can't since i don't have 10 posts.
All of that said does anyone have a link to a permanent CWM either as a tar or zip. Or am I not understanding how to do this with a samsung phone.
Thanks!
Joe
After you flash clockwork you have to flash either a new kernel or a new rom or recovery will reset to stock.

The stock kernel reflashes the recovery every boot, so after you enter CW you must flash a new kernel to keep it.
Correct

Ah...
Ah.. I will look around for custom kernels that work with the stock rom as I find it to be ok, when using ADW launcher...
Thanks!
This thread might have something that will work for you. I haven't used it, but it sounds like what you are looking for.
Looks promising
I will check this out tonight when I am back at my PC.
Thanks!
Joe
It might be stupid but that's why its a question, is it possible and how hard is it to take your backup from sdcard\ recovery\backup and convert it to .tft so I can flash it via flash tool??? So to have one light stock ROM rooted and cleaned the way i want it. I never tried unzipping the backup and right no I'm away from the pc, any thoughts of what's inside???
Now that we have unlocked bootloaders, this might be possible. If I have any time at all this weekend, I will see what I can do. Not making any promises...
Cool, I was just sitting here at work and it came to me LOL

I've had this idea even before the bootloader unlock. Now we can cook up our own .SIN files, it's worth a shot.
Can someone point me in the direction of a CWM flashable stock AT&T Rom? A lot of my important apps (like Titanium and SetCPU) are force closing at inopportune times and search isn't getting me anywhere.

I've got a back to stock solution, but I'd rather just have something I can flash back to stock or even TPC v2 using CWM. I'm trying to avoid increasing my flash counter.
I don't think anyone has uploaded one yet. There is one, but via ODIN. One of you guys who need it could create a CWM and upload for everyone
If only I knew where to start. If anyone knows how I could use adb in recovery mode to push a system.img.ext4 file, I'd be grateful for that as well.
Follow this post here. I used it and it worked on mine, and didn't increase flash counter.
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1518962
So no way to flash TPC v2 without increasing the counter at this time?
Seems so. Since you seem have to have tripped yours, you could try one more time for the rest of the folks here.
eh, I'm still at 0. I'll figure something out.
Oh ok. I thought you tripped yours already.
I did, but I had to return my first one because of some hardware issues. When I got the new one I did everything the fun (0 flash counter) way. I was wondering if I could flash a system.img the same way that I flashed the CWM recovery.img (through ADB)
I've downloaded LGE970AT-00-V10o-ATT-US-SEP-29-2012+0.tot and I'm rooted and unlocked running The Base 0.7.3. I need the battery life so I'm returning to stock. I see there are articles that have already been written but they don't provide download links to other files needed. I know this isn't a file that I can flash in recovery so where do I go from here? Thanks!
I'm not sure stock is the answer, but here is the link to irc channel. Ask for lgnpst.

Stock will not give you better battery life. It will give you worse battery life.

Yeah, quadzilla, you just have to figure out what is chewing it all up. For me I think it was Google+ that was preventing my processor from deep sleeping. Are you getting any deep sleep or staying at 384MHz?

Well, I actually installed Sk8's 2.2 Kernel days ago and it's been running with much better battery life. There's still room for improvement though.
I hope one of the devs can put out a completely flashable stock ROM. Even though it will probably never be used as a daily drive it would be nice to have a flashable stock ROM. Currently the only two ways to get to complete stock are to restore a backup (if you made one), or use LGNPST (which I hope to never have to use).
Also, I found out that both backups I made after using feegee are corrupt (one backup in CWM, and one in TWRP, both corrupt). So yeah, now I have to use LGNPST if I ever need to get back to stock.

Stange I made one after root and unlock then moved it to SD card and have had no issues I used TWRP and didnt rename it. I have had to LGNPST and then root and unlock again, and have been able to restore my backup fine. I do however have a backup of my backup on my external harddrive that I can put back on my SD if something happens to my SD.

If you guys can PM me a link for LGNPST that I can just download and go, I can get us a odexed and deodexed stock build out fairly fast. I was just going to start a thread asking if any themers are out there if I got us a deodexed stock build out. Let me know because we can always re-odex after flashing a theme. I can help with that. If someone is kind enough to PM me a direct link its on!

To make a long story short, I need to flash the stock recovery image back to my phone.
I am on the me7 build, rooted. I used goomanager to flash the custom twrp recovery. I guess I shouldn't have done that.
But anyway, I want to get a stock recovery back on so that I have a working recovery on my phone. I have looked around and I can't seem to find one.Of course, I can't boot into recovery now with twrp installed.
Any help and guidance on this would be greatly appreciated!!
Flash this in odin and then root me7 again....

I would use the no wipe me7 image from the dev section, you dont lose any apps/data with those. Like sporty said youll have to re root tho.
