S2 Keyboard on S3? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Does any one know how i can port the stock keyboard from the S2 to the S3?
I've tried the AxT9IME and the deodexed version but neither work.
thanks

How is it different from s3?

with the S3, you have to open Settings to change T9 off, the S1 and S2 keybaord had the button at the bottom which is perfect. the layout of the keys on the S3 are not laid out very well.
This is the S3 T9 keyboard which is not nice to use

FOUND IT!!!!
Flash this .zip with CWM...
http://www.4shared.com/zip/C1JqAZsH/ICSamsungkeypad-by-awandroid.html?
the reason why the others apk's wouldn't work is they didn't have the framework, like this one.
SO SO HAPPY!!!!!

I want the DroidX keyboard and also the Samsung one also, I want to try them out as well.
I like swiftKey, but the problem is, I *need* to resize the space bar. It's so small, and get rid of the enter key. it's a hassle when I type like this "I.am.Going.There."
Cause I always hit the period key instead of the space. I've been sticking to the Gingerbread keyboard but it's not as smart as swiftkey.
I have found a working droid x keyboard for the mt4g but u need root and the keys look small ,would u like me to share? Oh and as a bonus their are multiple themes for it.
Ps. Im curently using it and it works great!

I think the point is a simple search would have found that ROM...remember, search before asking.

ROMs with Software Buttons

Hello. I'm looking for ROMs that have the ability to use the software buttons. Like this

I use the AOKP Rom right now, but I would like to switch to a different one.
Sorry if this has been asked. Its 4am and I wanted to get this up so I can *hopefully* have an answer by morning.
I'm off to bed... thanks.

Any ROM with tablet mode will have them, it's part of tablet mode itself.

[Request] Android 4.1 Sounds & Ringtones (UPDATE: Found & uploaded.)

EDIT: I have extracted the sounds and ringtones from the Android 4.1 build for the Galaxy Nexus and posted them in the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28330942
Thursday, July 5, 2012
XDA Members:
I could swear that I've seen a thread about this on here before; but no matter how I search, I can't find it. If there is indeed a thread with the Android 4.1 sounds & ringtones in it, would somebody please point me to it? However, if it was just a figment of my imagination, and there is no such thread, would somebody please point me to the sounds or upload them here? If all else fails, I'll download the 4.1 I9300 port and extract them myself; but if somebody's already done it, I'd really rather just get the sounds & ringtones from them.
Anyway, thank you everybody for your time. I'll keep searching. If I find it before someone replies with the sounds & ringtones, I'll upload them to my Dropbox account and update the OP with the URL. Take care and have a good one everybody!
Thank you,
Ed (Mister_Mxyzptlk)

Ya'. I've got those too. Also, the recently updated Apex Launcher has incorporated several of the updated UI elements from Jelly Bean. So all I really need now are the sounds and ringtones. See below. Just one thing missing.

Have you tried Settings/Controls/Language and input? Should have the option there to set Samsung keyboard as default instead of Swype.
Awesome that fixed it didn't realized there was an option to switch thank you for your help! This phone is still very new to me coming from 6 generation of iPhone. But I'm loving it better already.

There is a bit of a learning curve coming from other OS. I had the same issues, but now I wouldn't use any other. So customizable and friendly. Love Android.
