Hey guys!!! The issue is the following, I had installed APEX launcher for quite some time, and what happened is that once when I pressed the home button on Samsung Nexus (the most bottom button that brings the home screen) it asked me which program should perform that (the APEX or the default one) by mistake I pressed the default one and clicked to remember settings and never ask again, so.....as you might guess, when APEX is on and I whenever I click this ,,home button,, APEX switches off and I see the regular desktop....I don't know how to associated APEX with the home button again...I tired reinstalling APEX but it doesn't work....any ideas guys, I would be really really grateful!!!

Clear defaults for the default launcher
or just install home switcher
Here's what you can do!
Settings >
Applications >
Find the Default Browser >
Click It >
Scroll Down and find "Clear Defaults" >
Press Home and Choose which one you'd like!

Have you tried hitting the "Clear Defaults" button in whatever homescreen you are using?
Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>[Whatever home you are using currently]>Clear Defaults.
That should let you bring it up again (don't check "Use this by default" when it comes up or else you'll lose it again)

yeah bro i have already tried that. but not a single homescreen got default values. all clear. weird.
it worked at last. i went into htc sense option in application under settings. then cleared the defualt value. now pressing home button gives me choices.

So I don't have enough posts to post this problem in the 1.7 thread so I'm hoping I can get help with the likely easy answer here. I installed 1.7 and selected my desktop theme and I held down the "more apps" button too long and now it is gone and I can't get to the rest of my apps. How can I get it back?
which launcher are you using? if you are using Zeam, you can swipe your finger down the screen and it will open up the apps. check the middle capacitive button, and see if any options come up for preferences or settings... if so, go to settings/applications and reset your launcher app.
You can also tap & hold on the screen, then add an item/widget, add the market widget... you can then go into the market, download a different launcher. once it is installed, hit the home key, and it will ask you what launcher you wish to use.
I use Zeam. It's quite handy, and has the option to replace that button you lost. you would have to install zeam, then press and hold on the main screen, choose add an item, add an action, and you will see the option for the "open applications" button you lost.
kind of a round and about way to get it done, but I bet you won't do it again, right?

I liked Zeam Launcher as it had a quick and easy way to get to apps. Now that I switched my applauncher from 1.2 back to 1.1 I can now get them through the B&N apps button and I want to make Softkeys my home launcher. Soft keys has better access to the books I am reading, as the now reading button works.
I go into Home launcer, and it shows Zeam as my default launcher. I choose Softkeys, it show up above as default, but for some reason it doesen't become the default launcher. Am I missing something? Any suggestions?
open soft keys, go to settings, go to virtual home button,tap normal press button, select "home" instead of zeam. exit and push the nook N button and will load the BN home.

It worked one time, then went back to Zeam. When I opened up settings again, Home is still checked.

Do you have soft keys set as your default launcher?
How can I clear the default of the Home button, because I want to install the Holo launcher and he is not asking to set the standard, when I press the home button.
I had it installed and then uninstalled, and i set the home button with official launcher (default of sony), but now I want to reinstall the Holo Launcher, I install and open it, but when I click the Home button returns to normal launcher, he do not ask to set the Holo Launcher.
How can I get this right?
There is no how to clear pattern as the home button as it is not an application, thus is not available under Settings / Applications.

Maybe the Sony Launcher is already set as default launcher when pressing the homebutton?
go to settings > apps > All and go to Xperia Home scroll down and somewhere there you will see that option.

Just searched through the forums and didn't see an answer to this elsewhere although I'm sure its there. Just got my s4 (mk2 firmware) and using nova launcher. I have nova setup so that the home button always just goes to the default home screen, no alternative action. If i'm on that screen and press the home button again my app drawer comes up though. Default phone feature or something I can change?
