[Request] .181 Keyboard - Motorola Droid RAZR

Does anyone know where or how I can get a hold of the keyboard from. 181 to use on ICS? I seriously don't like the ICS keyboard!!

How do you not like the ics keyboard?
1. It keeps up with you when typing
2. Autocorrect is WAY better
3. Looks way cleaner
I don't see how you don't like it.

Unless someone ports the app to ICS then we can't use it on ICS. Most system apps rely on libs and other apps in the ROM to work, so until it's ported...

Yea once you put on the auto correction it isn't that bad.

[Q] Possible to theme swype?

I'm using the version of Swype that came with the Atrix, and I'm wondering if it's possible to theme it to make it match with the Gingerbread keyboard?
Also, is it possible to remove the speech-to-text button on the keyboard? I will never use it.
No

people have been able to skin it, as in colors if keys and the swype trail, but you can't change buttons. no one I know so far has done it for the newest beta, though

Is it possible for us to do with the Atrix? At least make it look like the gingerbread keyboard?

If anyone wants to take a shot.

Try using Android SS for screen shots. Simple, easy, free, no ads!
Works great for me.
I think I'd want the real ICS, fan made ones are usually not as good

Ill give it a shot (pun intended) when i get home from work later. Im also gonna take a shot at the launcher for u as well. I work for an iphone developer in the process of making the switch to include droid so im learning as much as i can. Any info about phone or tablet it came from or anything u think will help feel free to pm me. Been ripping apart the droid sdks from cupcake to gingerbread for the past 2 weeks at work already and on multiple forums soaking up as much info as i can in my off time. Am already considering posting a rom of my own based off the liberty test build. If i can get the ics launcher workin within a few days ill include it as the stock launcher lol

ss didnt work for me either but found 1 that does. Well its no ics but heres a peak at my slightly tweaked liberty and the iphone launcher i fooled my boss with lol. Gonna jump on UOT kitchen later and theme the notification area and toggles more to my liking. Theres 6 total screenshots and i zipped them to save data for any1 not on wifi or unlimited data

"Debug" seems to open up settings for the launcher, but there aren't many (would love to get rid of persistent search bar). But still pretty nice, I like it more than Trebuchet, so I'll probably use this until Apex gets fixed.
I noticed this has theme support, anyone know where to get some themes for this?

Stock ICS RAZR keyboard?

OK I pulled the stock ice razr keyboard and then booted into liquid smooth 1.5 rom and then I replaced the liquid smooth keyboard with the stock ice razr keyboard and changed permissions, rebooted and its not there. Went into setting to check if it was in input but it wasn't...wondering if anyone knows a fix for this because I really hate the small keyboard that comes with liquid smooth.

You can find the ported Jelly Bean keyboard in the market now. You don't even need root to use this one -- works on ICS 4.0.3+

If you feel frisky enough you can pull the keyboard apk from system/app folder and then decompile the .apk and replace the smiley images with ones from another keyboard and then recompile the .apk....or try the app ninjamorph from the playstore

4.2 keyboard works!

I may be the only one that likes the 4.2 keyboard, but I flashed the one from the G-nexus section and it works great so far! And the vibrate key press is a lot stronger.
I was able to just download one from the market, and yes, the vibration is much stronger, maybe a little too strong, im not sure.

How about emojis? I've seen a keyboard floating around the ReZound forums before I got this device. It actually had all the emojis built into it.
Does this 4.2 have emojis?

Can someone point me to download a working 4.2 camera?
For the life of me I can't find where to enable the keyboard. I go into the keyboard settings and can only chose the language. I do have the 4.2 keyboard installed.

Yes Nowak4G HAS IT RIGHT...
once you are running ICS or higher all the keyboard switching methods are done in your notification bar. They do need to be enabled Via Language & Keyboard....
I am in love with the 4.2 keyboard. The keys just feel perfect for me.
I'm using the 4.2 keyboard also on my sensation courtesy of XDA Sensation Themes and Apps Section,I was using swiftkey 3 but not anymore, the 4.2 is phenomenal and the swipe feature is so responsive while also very smooth, I'd go as far to say I am very impressed...
P.s. forgot to mention the floating preview of your written word is implemented very well..

This.
I always wondered why people felt the need to flash the files from other devices etc etc, when you can just download it from the market right there, lol. I've been using it for quite some time now.
Is the 4.2 keyboard the same as the Google Swype Beta keyboard? I have been using Google Swype Beta keyboard and it is the best keyboard I have ever used! Plus it has the Dragon dictation built in which is amazingly accurate.
The 4.2 keyboard does have swype. It's working very well also.
