I just upgraded to the official release. Here's some photos for you guys that want to know what the update is like. It's late though, so there's only a few. Chrome beta works fine. If you thought gingerbread was smooth, you won't believe the fluidity of ics. No significant bugs.

Didn't we already have one of these closed? This update is basically gingerbread touchwiz with a new signal icon and settings

oh wow great! Do you think you could post more pictures? And did they really change the shotcut to taking screenshots?
TW for ICS is pure lame
So disappointed!!!
As for the dock, do they allow end-users changing from 4 icons to 5 icons, or still stuck with 4 only?
Does this ICS have a native Voice Command?

Touch sensitivity is all ****ed up. Seems a little laggy too, much more so than gingerbread.

Touch sensitivity is all ****ed up. Seems a little laggy too, much more so than gingerbread. I'm gonna do a factory restore and see if anything changes.
EDIT: nope, nothing changed. Going back to 2.3.4. gingerbread was smooth as ****.

Yep sure did. As this one will be soon now too.
And I'll even toss in an explanation. its ICS. Its touchwiz. Not much has changed throughout the leaks. It looks like crap. and we dont need a separate thread to show what kind of crap samsung lets out.
Yup, closed... if you want ICS pictures then Google them.

It does but I don't like the feature I always disable it on any keyboard..
Had a ton of issues with the last beta and ended up going back to the standard Swiftkey. Got an email earlier, I'll have to give this one a try.

I'm still trying it out .. I'm not really interested in the facebook,gmail,etc.. learning setting..so I been using it as I always have so far I haven't had an issue yet I noticed a bit of improvement with voice to txt ..
Just downloaded it and have noticed it is alot better than the previous beta. Although I have noticed a few bugs, sometimes when I hit the space bar it goes backwards. It also auto creates a word after using punctuation. That
may be because I have set to rapid.

I think that can be fixed with the settings
Minor keyboard issue
I LOVE SwiftKey! This beta has been working fairly smoothly since download, but whenever I use my hard keyboard (Evo Shift) the "!" doesn't work. I end up with a "?" whether I use the function key to select it or not. Weird. The other thing I noticed is that when I use the back key in some apps, it doesn't take me to the previous screen, I'm stuck with the prediction bar.
It's still functional enough for me to continue using it without reverting back to the paid version. Did I mention that I LOVE SwiftKey??
hey everyone, im from the atrix sub-forum and I have been working on this for a little while now.
Basicly what i did was port the stock keyboard and stock launcher over to qHD devices and published the source for everyone to use.

here are links to the original posts, the posts have links to the source.
please use these in your roms just give credit and spread the word if you like it!

I certainly am! I'm sure the people who are running epinter's CM10 for the Atrix would be interested, too
I'm trying to mod the SONY UI one by one.
I don't know if I will be able to finish it entirely but let me see up to where I'll reach.
After my DefaultThemes.apk mod (thanks to those who downloaded, even if very few only sent their Thank You's in return ) ,
I'm doing a small modification of the Home.apk.
Here's a preview.

Your comments and criticism are important so I can grasp whether to continue or not.
It's a work in progress so there might still be minor to major changes.
I might need this space later
And this....

Nice! Could you make the dock icon panel smaller? About the size of Trebuchets'?
That could really give a better ICS taste

sorry 'bout the slow progress. it seems that it doesn't work on other roms.
I will try to edit the official .562fw release.
Can you port this for x10 mini?(qvga)
Not finding this answer anywhere, but is it possible to just disable the landscape option for the home screen? Obviously I want it to be able to go to landscape for texting and web browsing and stuff, but it's annoying when it does it on the home screen. Am I just not seeing this option? Any help is much apprecaited. Thanks!
+1 not diggin the landscape homescreen.
Flash nightmare sense 1.4. They removed that god awful feature.

Unless I'm doing something wrong..No they didn't. Still an awesome Rom. I don't really mind landscape too be honest. Still, would be nice to have the option.
EDIT: I reflashed 1.4 and formated everything possible. And now landscape is gone. Good deal.

Oh, weird. After getting an HTC Amaze 4G all I ever heard was people (with the OEM ROM) complaining about not having the ability to go landscape with the home screen.

Any way to edit zip so that it doesn't mess with nightmare 1.4 fixes? I have no clue how to do any of the fancy stuff these amazing devs are making. Lol

In the development section/nightmare 1.3. Check post 1642 by Ziggy or post 1722 by Gideo. They both have links to 1.4.
They haven't updated OP yet.

Hi guys
Just got ahold of a superb white XT910 which I love to bits. However, the default Motoblur overlay seems a little bit dated to me or am I the only one?
As far as the laucnher itself, Apex pro and Nova prime seem to get the consensus on xda. What about lockscreen apps though? Found a bunch of apps that could get the job done and make the lockscreen look better. I was wondering what you gents and ladies who are running JB on the Razr had to say about them.
WidgetLocker would be my prime choice - Holo locker a close second. However before jumping the gun and buying WidgetLocker, I would like to know if it works well with JB : does it run well and not conflict with the stock launcher? Is it responsive enough? how energy efficient is it?
Any input about any other lockscreen app would also be much appreciated

How I wish I could have the white one, I can't find any white body replacement kit here in India. Can anybody help me get it?
Yeah the white one looks quite the part mate. Got it rather cheap too, i'm definitely pumped up about this phone ! Need to get some stuff sorted and then it'll be absolutely perfect :victory:
Alright so a couple pics for those who don't know what I'm on about :
WidgetLocker

Holo Locker
Alright, so I just went through the last couple pages from the WidgetLocker development thread, and it looks like the app hasn't received any major update for a long while now and people are having issues with it. Looks like I'll be giving Holo Locker a try, plus it's free so what the heck :silly:
You could give go locker a try, works pretty good for me,also free with lots of themes.

Thanks for your input mate. I considered Go Locker, however I'd rather use another launcher so that's why I did not mention it.
