I switched over to the Galaxy S3. Bluetooth works great on my car kit, but it shows every single contact on my car (Peugeot 508). So every single e-mail address I every used in gmail is shown, even though I limited the synced contacts to my MS Exchange contacts that have a phone number. They show up correctly when I access it through my Phones contacts app, but not in the car, as stated earlier.
Thanks in advance!
I am experiencing the exact same issue. I would love to know how to limit the contacts displayed.

I am having problems with syncing to outlook.
The account is up and running, the calendar and contacts are ok, and emails are received, however, it seems like the device decides on its own when it wants to sync email and when it doesn't. I have syncing on as "push" both on peak and off peak, and am connected at all times on 3G or WiFi (mostly 3G).
I do not see a pattern of when it does not sync but I made sure that my APN is in order and cannot see a reason why it does not push the emails.. Sometimes, I do not receive emails for hours and only when I open the email client, it says "Refreshing" and suddenly I get the emails that were not pushed.
I am currently on KE7 update and the problem persists. I came from HTC Desire and never had such problem on it..
Anyone experiencing the same problem or have any fixes?
Thanks.
So, I am frustrated and hoping someone has found a magical menu or combination I haven't.
I configured my contacts to only show me my gmail contacts and ignore, among other things, the ridiculously stupid AT&T Contacts app. This works great.
The problem is that when paired with my car, if I download the phonebook, I get whatever's in the AT&T Phonebook. Which, naturally, is nothing except for the 5 or 6 preloaded AT&T numbers. I've tried most every setting in the phonebook and bluetooth menus, and nothing's doing the trick.
I don't think the car is the issue at all, but if it matters it's a 2012 Acura TL
Thanks!

Two issues I am having. The first is my steps showing on the watch are not in sync with the phone (Note 4 verizon). The other issue I was having is the voice mail on the phone no longer worked. I could only access voice mail by dialing the voice mail number on the phone or watch. I un-installed and re-installed the gear software and it seems to have fixed the voice mail. I tried un-checking the voice mail in the notification settings on the watch but still had to reset everything. Any know issues with steps in s health not syncing correctly ?
Just got my Gear s today. My Gear Fit syncs steps with Note 4 (UK SIM free model) perfectly but the Gear S does not show correct number steps. Weird.
Sorry if this question has been answered before.. I searched all over the internet without a specific and definitive answer.
Whenever I connect my phone to any vehicle via bluetooth, mobile numbers under one contact appear twice in the vehicle when that contact is selected. This is a pain in the butt when trying to make a voice call as the vehicle always says "there are multiple mobile numbers associated with this contact".
I technically know why this is happening but looking for a way to prevent it. You see, I believe the culprit is whatsapp or google duo, or any other app that uses phone numbers, and therefore link themselves to that certain contact.
Now, is there any way to prevent the number from showing up twice in the vehicle under that one contact?
I have tried:
1. Unlinking the contact, only for linking to reappear after a sync.
2. I tried turning off sync in whatsapp, but because Auto-Sync is on for all of android, it just turns itself back on.
3. Prevented whatsapp from accessing contacts, but this just turns all contacts into numbers in whatsapp which is not what I want.
4. Turning off Auto-Sync in android, works, but I don't want to use it because then I have to manually sync everything else including calendars which I update frequently.
Going in to contacts and selecting a customized view has no affect.
Now I technically know what the car is trying to do... one number for Phone dialing (cellular) and one number for Whatsapp (data) dialing, but I don't want that.
Any way to get just the cellular side of the contact to be shared with bluetooth?
P.S. This has nothing to do with specific phones. This is an Android issue as I've tried it with multiple phones across multiple vehicle makes. All have the same issue. However if you want this information too, I have a One Plus 5T and my wife has a pixel XL. I drive a 2018 Colorado with Chevrolet MyLink and she drives a 2013 Honda Civic with Handsfree Link.
I'm experiencing an issue when trying to use Sync (V1) in my 2015 F150 to make a call from my contacts. I have done all the conventional troubleshooting & I believe it is an issue with one particular Google account (which unfortunately happens to be my main account). When I remove that account from my phone everything works fine. It also works fine with other phones (same model & service provider, but different accounts). The strange thing is that it used to work fine. Any ideas to resolve this issue would be appreciated.
