[Q] Tablet Mode - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

I don't know if you guys know, but if you change the screen DPI on AOSP ROM's to 240 the phone enter on tablet mode. As we got our ICS not so long ago, I thought: maybe this can work on our Xperia S, with a Sony customized ROM.
So, I would like to ask too anyone who has Root and ICS to change the DPI to 240, reboot and see what happens, and post a screenshot if possible.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is Tablet mode?

The phone acts as a tablet, same for apps. Status bar at bottom, virtual buttons, etc. Search for tablet mode on Galaxy Nexus Themes and apps section, and look there.

It doesn't really work. You need a few source level patches that are quite ugly for now to make it work.

[Q] Xperia S ICS Tablet mode

Hello, does anyone tried to set the DPI at 160 to test the ICS tablet mode?
It is working, but broken in many places.
so LCD Density Modder and a launcher like apex can do the job?
No.
What exactly is broken? Phone app not working ( that's what happened with GNex at first)? If anyone tried, mind posting a screenshot?

Phone and some more stuff just crashing randomly.

CM10 LED?

Will this ever happen? Or is it a Touchwiz Source problem?
Its possible and I'm pretty sure its on the devs to do list

I have LED usage on CM10 for notifications that can be customized in Settings.

You really need to learn how to go through the various settings options and explore a little bit, but because I'm feeling nice...
it's under the Display option in Settings.

[APP/MOD] Xperia Z Launcher .apk

Ok, so if you're like me and just want the launcher of Xperia Z as it's unbelievably fluid (seriously), you may install just the launcher and it's awesome widgets without requiring flashing, causing framework errors or anything else nitty gritty, also it is very customisable. It's working on multiple number of phones and ROM's including that which I'm using. Anyway, follow the link I posted below for more info, credits are to him and not me.

Most likely the ROM being the issue here. I'm using the Alliance ROM. Screenshot added, oh and yes I've got HTC One theme running.

[APP] AOSP keyboard with 5 rows (numbers on top)

Not my doing but I thought I'd share as its working great on the last four aosp (both 4.3 and 4.4) ROMs I've used. Try it out!!

Wow I likes! One of the few things I missed from Sammy Kitkat feels more complete..
S4KitKat
Totally agree. There's no reason so have so much screen real estate and no be able to use it.

op what are the changes done to the file ?? are you making changes on the build.prop to show the 5th row ??? the reason why I ask is because if you have multiple keyboard languages it doesn't show the number row for the other languages.
Thanks.

As far as I know it's not just a build prop change its a completely new keyboard. I'm not the original maker I just thought aosp users on the s4 would like this more than just the plain 4 row

SlimRoms for Togari

So I maintain Slim for Honami, I have a build that could use some testing. Build is completely untested so there is always that possibility of bricking the device. But odds are worst case you will need fastboot to restore.
Cheers
Edit: Opened thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51783298#post51783298
And so im downloading it for testing... good luck to me

Edit: It booted up fine...Update if there is anything... Getting used to the smaller DPI...
Edit: My eyes and fingers hurt at the small fonts and tiny keyboard LOL...
Issues with camera not working despite working with a clean install and TWRP recovery. The bug should be the same old can't connect camera bug...
Camera works after rebooting but still hangs after initial startup of app. Few quick presses on the soft button for the shutter gets it working. Third party seems fine with occasional quirks here and there that I don't know how to describe. The Sony logo pops up whenever I use the 3rd party camera apps before the app interface appears
OK thanks for being brave.

Great Work.
For now i cant find any issue. But what i miss from carbon this is Pocket Mode, really cool feature.
And, finally, sound works when phone in the dockstation unlike in carbon
