Camera no longer works - HTC EVO 3D

My evo 3d gsm x515m's camera just stopped working a month or 2 ago. It doesnt show the force close pop-up when i open the camera app, it just shows the camera symbol and then goes back to where i opened the app. I've tried different roms, kernels, wipes, etc. and nothing has worked so far. I dont know if the ics PG86IMG may be the culprit? i dont wanna try radios until i have some advice on if it is a hardware issue or software. Help please!!

Are you on GB or ICS?
Apps/all/camera/clear cache, then try opening.
If on GB, try the lower resolution amaze cam if above doesn't work.

What ROM are you running? I am on Virtuous Inquisition 4.0.2 and the camera does not work. I get the same thing you are experiencing. I am going to flash the 1920x1080 Amaze camera, hopefully this fixes the issue.

Ive already tried the amaze camera and clearing the camera cache, ive restored to a stock backup even and nothing different. As of right now i am on miui, so i dont think the camera would work either way but it didnt work on stock 2.3.4

Well sounds to me like hardware. There is a ribbon where the camera plugs into the motherboard. You can try setting it in again, finding parts craigslist/ebay, or taking back for warranty

[Q] Vibrant camera not working

Noticed today, that the camera on my Vibrant is not working correctly. I push the camera app button, and it comes up and looks like it wants to take a picture, but when I touch the screen to focus or take a pic, nothing happens. My barcode scanner no longer works either. It used to constantly focus in and out looking for bar codes, but no longer does. The only thing I have done recently, is install Angry Birds Rio, and un-installed Meridian. I did a hard reset a few hours ago, and the problem is still there. Running stock 2.2(update from Kies Mini) Any ideas?

have u tried flashing another rom other then stock ? try it out and see if it works. maybe the developers roms are better then the stock. u could also use odin to go back to eclair stock and see if the camera works there. try it out. and u could also wait a little while longer to see what others have to say as well good luck
First, try Odin then back to your stock.
If problem persists...
Try a rom.
If problem persists... your camera might be broken
I have not flashed back to stock, or another ROM. Honestly I feel overwhelmed by it. I've read the stickies, and their just seems to be so much information that it makes my head want to explode.

Have you tried any previous ROMS to see if the problem doesn't lie somewhere else?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1764938&highlight=camera
So those two guys said that there cameras were working fine. So you can try those to ICS Roms. If not I suggest going back to stock.

Camera not working

Someday I was using my camera on CM10 and accidentally got into the front camera, in which the rom bugs the camera. Ok, I reinstalled the rom and it was ok.
Other day, I did the same thing, but reinstalling didn't fixed it.
So I tried about 5 other roms and it still doesn't work.
Also tried the fix epinter and nothing.
try to use Atrix Camera Fix, you can download it form Atrix apps

[Q] Can't Switch Between Front and Back Camera on HTC First

So, when I first got my HTC First, everything was working just fine, specifically the camera. But a while ago my camera stopped showing the button to switch between the front and back camera. I've Googled my life away trying to find a fix for this, only finding results for the HTC One M8. I've tried clearing the cache for the camera app (though there is no 'Camera' app, it just says 'Gallery' when I open the camera's app details.) Has anyone else experienced this, or come up with any fixes for it? By the way i'm rooted on stock Jelly Bean 4.1.2 ROM and CWM Recovery if any of that helps. Though, this problem started long before I rooted my device.
Tried another camera app?
I have, i've tried a couple other camera apps, but recently I decided to clean up some space. Then I rebooted my device and it seems to work now, though it still goes out every once in a while. It seems like it was just a matter of space available on my internal SD for some reason. My best guess is it's a RAM issue.

GCam has broken my Poco F1's camera

Update: #1 - I have been able to unlock the bootloader and reinstall MIUI. Unfortunately, neither of these procedures managed to fix the camera. I've also installed TWRP and wiped everything I possibly could, and yet, still no functionality from the camera. This is weird because I literally had no problems prior to trying out GCam.
I've had my Pocophone for about a year now. I really enjoy using it for pictures and videos. After seeing all the hype around the GCam port, I decided to try it for myself. After I installed an APK, I took a few pictures and all was working well. After a few hours, I opened the GCam app once more to take a new photo, and after which, it froze. I then tried the Stock Camera, and that also froze. I restarted my phone, and then opened both apps, and the camera refused to open.
I've tried the CID test, and it works until it gets to "Rear Dual Camera". The "Rear Sub Camera" does work, however, as does the front camera.
I've also performed a factory reset, but this has also rendered the camera unusable. Interestingly enough, after I restart the phone and open the camera app, it DOES work, but as soon as I shift to portrait mode, it then freezes and refuses to work again.
I really don't know what the GCam apk did.
Have u tried flashing the ROM again?.. This might help

No, I haven't. I've never flashed anything onto my Pocophone. It's completely stocked. I've been doing research on how to unlock the bootloader to try this method, however, I've made no progress with getting the bootloader to unlock. In the meantime, I've been trying other ways to fix it.
One version of Gcam is currently launching the camera, however, the stock app keeps freezing. This other version of Gcam also takes several seconds to switch between the front and rear cameras, so this I know it still isn't fixed properly.
Did you tried to flash a stock rom using fastboot method?
