well since sunday why?

Is it just Wifi that you have an issue on? Does your wifi work for anything else?

1. Are you on 2.3.6 stock?
2. Are your device's wifi working or not?

Are you rooted or stock?

[SOLVED] Wifi turning on forever

I flashed clockworkmod recovery from the CWM app. I rebooted and gave me bootloop. I force rebooted into recovery, cleared cache and dalvik cache and booted fine. The problem is that wifi says turning on, but never actually turns on. After the boot every app gave a force close so I installed them again with titanium.(I don't know if it is relevant, but I say it anyway!). I am on stock, rooted 3.2. Any help will be appreciated guys.
EDIT: I tried rebooting, and activating/deactivating flight mode (I forgot to mention that I have the 16gb 7500).

Don't know if it will help but it has helped me in the past to goto settings and have it forget all the wifi connections and then when it refinds the wifi you want to use connect to it again setting it up add needed, mine was just the default settings. Rebooted and everything was good to got.
HTH
Edit: After reading your post again, I'm wondering if its even found any wireless networks.

Thanks for your time but it seems like you can't help me.. Wifi doesn't work at all!!!! That is the problem. I managed to turn it off by rebooting after turning airplane mode on and off, but after reboot when I either click on wifi or turning airplane mode off, the problem is there....

could be wrong but if it just keeps saying 'turning on' then eventually unchecks itself, this is usually a kernel module error. try reflashing your kernel and/or rom?

Well, I was afraid of that. I had a similar problem with my phone a couple of months back. I just hoped that it wouldn't come to this...So it appears it's time for the tab's first custom rom...

Well yes. I wanted to see if anytjing could be done by remaining stock. But I think it is about time to check out the ICS build. And try another rom. I think I will go for overcome. But thanks anyway!

Might wanna try different options, Overcome has it's own stock kernel, aswell as ICS (Pershoots) but you are welcome to try what suits you best Hopefully the problem fixes itself, magically
Actually I flashed pershoot's kernel but nothing happened. A factory reset solved the problem, but I went on and installed ICS. It's just perfect! Anyway, it has its bugs, so I flashed overcome and everything is well Now I wait for cyanogenmod to work its magic...Thanks for everyone's help. Other thing that bugs me: If i flash stock rom from sammobile will the flash counter increase, since it will be an "official" rom?
Id like to know that too, my phone has been flashed aleast 150+ times over the past 7 months *Developer pride? * so I wanna know how to reset counters o.o
Well I have asked this question in 4 different forums and it is the third time on xda...Seems noone knows...
sent from my nokia 3210
I think official still count's as a counter+1, but so far only Samsung knows how to reset the counter :| I think they keep it secret just so their consumer's don't sue them saying "Samsung faulty products"

WIFI Issues After Flashing ICS

Hi Guys
Yesterday I flashed the Hydro ICS and had no issues at all, hungry to explore other ROM's I flashed about 5 today, then all of a sudden I was faced with 2 issues that no matter what I cant solve
The first is that my WIFI Doesnt work, it says its connected and issues an IP to the phone but the Wifi bars are grey with a flashing X through them
In my router I get the following Error
" DHCP FAILED - Requested Info not supported.;CM-MAC=a0:21:b7:30:03:2c;CMTS-MAC=00:30:b8:cf:db:40;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; "
I also have a yellow warning triangle on boot too
I have reflashed, wiped, etc etc with many roms since to try and fix but I have gotten nowhere,
EDIT:
Just to add, other mobiles "Including a SGS2 on ICS" are connected wirelessly and I have rebooted and reset my router.
PLEASE can someone get me out of this hole im in ?
Many Thanks
Gaz

Bumping your thread after only just over an hour isn't going to endear yourself to anyone...
Try a different kernel. I believe WiFi drivers are in the kernel.
I believe your best bet is to do a battery pull, leave it out for a minute, then put it back in and power up.
If that doesn't work, you may need to install another baseband/modem. Lots of them you can install through CWM.

I know you mean well, but baseband/modem have nothing to do with wifi.

1: see if you can browse on computer

i agree with the 2nd way, also you should try flashing a different kernel as mentioned above.
i used to have this error before when i was on litening rom for GB... although it was easily fixed by just doing a full wipe and never occured again...

[Q] [HELP] Bluetooth Reboot LOOP !

Hi,
first I already searched for similar problems but i didn't find any thread that helped.
So.. I've SGSII with the official stock rom and not rooted, the phone was working fine and I've used the bluetooth before several times without any problems.
suddenly I needed to receive files via bluetooth, but once i turn it on the device start rebooting endlessly .. till i turn the bluetooth off
it will reboot every 10 seconds so I've to turn the bluetooth immediately once it start..
I'm using the official rom JPKJ2 2.3.5 with it's stock kernal, and never rooted the device before.
is it a manufacturer problem ? or something else ?
and how can I fix it ?
excuse my bad english, and thanks in advance =)

If it's worth the trouble then Try Factory Reset... Since your device is not rooted. Get CallLogBackupRestore and SMSBackupRestore free from playstore to backup your sms and call log. coz your device will wipe all data. Test see if it runs fine with factory defaults
check for the latest bt update?i mean is ur bt up to date?

I'll root the device now and backup the data using titanium backup, then will try factory reset.
I'll update what's happening then.

Reset factory for your phone back it WILL reset ALL setting for your system, but your phone will not lose root if you are on ICS (if you lose Superuser, just download from market and you still have root access)...

Is it like it downloads completely and then nothing happens?
I had this same problem. go to settings > apps > play store, uninstall updates(if there) and clear data. Then it work great again.
btw anyone experiencing slow internet in data connection? It has gone worse after update to ICS. Don't know if its the carrier or baseband

Try to use WiFi or 3G. And check Play Store settings, maybe Updates only via Wi-Fi is turned on, that's why it won't work.

Thanks guys but none of the above methods seem to be working for me...also i don't have wifi or 3G...i'm mostly gonna downgrade my cell back to 2.3.4...
Did you set your APN correctly?
Yup i mean websites open and stuff...

I had the same problem for the first day of the update. I use only Wi-Fi. But after three or four reboots later, it became normal. So don't downgrade yet. Try using the phone normally and restart it as in regular usage. At least that's what I did. I'm not rooted.
Sent from my SK17i using XDA
Thanks but i already downgraded and man i prefer 2.3.4 it's just my personal opinion but i think it's far better to use 2.3.4 rather than just waste battery power and all using ICS which has nothing but just a different UI and not many useful new features in it...
I have exactly the same problem..You can only browse but cannot download anything(mp3,apk,....).So,it's obvious you cannot download from google play and update application.I am also using 2G/GPRS.I had an (LG)android mobile earlier and it had an option "use only Wifi for data above 20MB" and i need to unmark it for able to download files(mp3,apk,...)....So,only thing i wanted to ask is Does this phone have any option to enable 2G/GPRS for downloading things?

If Wifi is still not working you might have a hardware problem.
If Wifi is working you have good starting point for further investigations

2.navigate to reset/clear factory data
3.wipe cache

5.re-install rom

8.reboot
This fixed the problem for me. Hope this helps

Do you mean Recovery or Download?
I always thought Power+Home+Volume Up were recovery.
Just saying, it doesn't really matter.
