Hi guys,
I`m having serious issues with my Xperia S after ICS (official, stock ROM!, tried both CH and DE generic) update - it is impossible to start both bluetooth and WI-FI! Do not know what to do, no idea.
After each (always successful) flashing (using this guide, followed each step throughly! - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1725078) I:
...tried to do the factory reset - didn`t help.
...tried to restore default settings - didn`t help.
Also tried to flash back to Gingerbread (Central European and Taiwan) - didn`t help (although before on the ORANGE stock ROM it DID work!)
My phone is STOCK ONLY, no root, superuser or kernel flash.
Help please, I`m desperate, just bought it yesterday and it worked fine just about two hours...
Thank you!
So what actually happens when you turn it on?
Absolutely nothing...
Might be a hardware problem. Try flashing your old firmware back and see if it works.

Tried that too already with the same result. Only that wi-fi says "error" on Gingerbread... It seems strange, that it actually did work for a few hours on an old GB, but after flashing to ICS, error appears...
Then you should propably apply for RMA.

Yes, I am already thinking about it, though I like this phone and hate the thought of not having it for another few weeks...
Has this been resolved? I recently bought a Xperia P and updatet is via the official way yesterday and I'm facing the same problem.WiFi works though, it's only Bluetooth that does not. The slider for Bluetooth won't even go to the right.

Greetings,
just need some help to get my Xperia loud speaker sound back
i bought my only 2 weeks ago and it was running so gr8
unlocked bootloader successfully, flashed multiple Custom roms and everything was running gr8
till that time we got FW .76 flashes
i flashed FW.76 and custom KA Rom version 6 then 7
between these 2 roms i lost my loud speaker sound
i'm nt sure exactly after which one of those 2 ROMs i had this problem, as i used to use my fone in Vibration Mode only so i discovered this by a chance while trying to make a call using the loud speaker and i found it's not working
tried also to check any ringtone and also no sound comes
my tries,
tried other custom Roms - system only - but it didn't work
tried stock full ROM .ftf but it didn't work
relocked bootloader and tried repair phone on SEUS, successfully done but still the problem remains
any more ideas plz?
thanks in advance....
Likely a hardware problem.

I have the original Neo, I wanted to update to official Sony ICS. I rooted by phone then updated and I'm having one major problem: I can't connect to any Wifi network.
I can see the networks but can't connect to them. I searched around and tried WiFix but it's still exactly the same.
I see no solution to this problem..
I need an advice, what's the most stable ICS Rom that I can flash instead of the official Sony Rom so I can overcome this problem? I need a very stable and smooth Rom that will help me overcome this headache, I've been trying to update my phone for 5 days now and every time I face a new problem.
Please help.

Never had a wifi problem after updating to ics.
Has your phone an unlocked bootloader where you had flashed a custom kernel with special wifi modules? Maybe you have to flash stock ics wifi modules.

Holla guys I've recently have an s3.. wonderful device, seriously, but I'm very regretful as regards the SDS issue.. unfortunately my device seems to have the "affected chip" but I love Android world and I can't stay without modding something! the problem, as I have seen, seems to be solved until fws released from 4.1.2... To be more sure, I upgraded my phone to 4.3 stock yesterday and now the fw mounted is the XXUGMK6. My phone is NOT rooted and it is branded Vodafone. In this situation the device should be "covered" (hopefully, this damned issue it's a very bad thing )... however, as I said upon, I want to install something new to speed up this wonderful device.
So let's go straight to the point: what are the bootloader, recovery and rom that have the fws fixed for SDS? What are the best ones IN THIS SENSE? (not in absolutely sense, obviously, because each bl, rec & rom is simply best until it's cooked in my opinion )
Moreover, should I remove brand before installing something? Could you tell me precise steps to do kindly?
I'll be very grateful to everyone can answer my question, really
Oh, I almost forgot: I'd like to taste the speed of KitKat is there any fix or we must wait a Samsung official release??
No one can help me?

Everything built recently (not sure how long) has the fix. Any KitKat build will have the fix, and both newest builds of CWM and TWRP do as well.
Basically, flash anything new and you're fine.

i have the sds chip also i actually had a fright a few months back when i woke up to my phone boot looping and anyway what i get to understand is that once u have a recovery and a bootloader with the latest fix u will be find... i use to use cwm thats before it bootlooped then i switched to philz cwm both right now are suppose to have the sds fix so basically after that flash any rom u want ..cause all the modern roms from 4.2 up as iv observed have the fix and havent given me any sds problem.
Wow guys! Your answers were so great! I can't wait anymore... I start to flash.. "suddenly" ahahah many thanks, I really appreciate your help
Another last question: I must remove brand (flashing no-brand fmw from Sammobile) before flashing custom stuff, right?
I must say "up" otherwise many questions in this section will completely hide mine
Hey, was hoping that somone could help me out.
Today I tried (and failed) to downgrade my xperia Z5 compact (E5823) from 7.0 to 6.0, I managed to flash everything correctly (i think) however when I turn on my phone I think it has been soft bricked. Just maintains in a reboot loop. I have tried several diffrent Roms (all are for the E5823) and nothing seems to work. Just wondering if im missing somthing, i have downloaded Sony Moblie Flasher and that is what im using to flash my phone. Just need some help really if anyone could provide a Rom that will get my phone up and running again that would be great, better yet if anyone has a 6.0 Rom that would be perfect. Or generally has any advice that they could share
Here are some details I took down before this whole ordeal started:
Build No 23.3.A.2.33
Kernal 3.10.84-perf-g1016077 Build [email protected](hash)1
Baseband
