My bookmarks won't change order.
Bring up bookmarks in the stock browser, hit the left menu button and click Change Order, click on (Local) Home and drag the bookmarks around to where I'd like them and press the Done button at the top.
Go back to the bookmarks menu, and nothing has changed! Going back to the Change Order menu and they haven't stayed the same either.
Am I missing something?
Yes, its rubbish
Works fine as described here on ALF6
Has to be your firmware version.
Update to a later version will solve it

I have up to date UK firmware. Perhaps it's a Vodafone thing.

Is anyone having an issue with the stock browser where on some web pages the back button just refreshes the page and in order to actually go back a page you have to double, tripple, or even quadruple click it? This happens with both the task bar back button as well as the quick control back button.
This happened on all the roms that I have tried, currently running Task650's in Paris (loving it!) and I am not a fan of the Dolphin Browser, does anyone know of a fix?
found a fix I the developer forum!

Thanks for the link been looking for an answer and I dont have enough posts to ask Task on his page, any idea why the delete button isn't working right?

Ok so I'm about to lose my fu**ing miiiiind here!! Every single touchwiz rom has the same stupid problem! Whenever I'm in my browser and I hit my back button it takes me all the way back to my original google search bar without fail! It doesn't even bring me back to my search results, it goes all the way back to where I type the words in the top bar and I've tried everything and nothing stops it! Every rom I've tried has this problem and I hate it, does anyone have any remedies?!

I am using Opera Mini Next on my GeeWiz Rom and I do not have that issue. I hit the Back button on the phone and my pages back up one at a time.
Have you tried using other browsers or are you too attached to the built in browser?
I installed Opera Mobile litteraly minutes after I got my phone, and I have experienced no such problem before with it. If you're using the slow, laggy Stock browser, I have one question for you: Why?!
Also, do you open your browser by using the google/bing search, or do you enter "through the front door," i.e, using the icon? Either way, though, I just tested my browser both ways, and this phenomenon you're experiencing has yet to occur. What ROM are you using, exactly? Have you tried TSM Resurrection?
I installed opera, and everything is solved. I admit, I'm an idiot for not thinking of this.
And yes, I've tried EVERY rom and they all had the same problem.

The Dolphin browsers are nice as well, and I don't recall having that problem with them on SC3 or TSM Res.

I hate the voice command app and I want to be able to change what double tap of home does, or just disable that, because I keep launching voice command accidentally. On my last phone the Motorola Flipout there was an option in settings to change what double tap of home would launch? Is the some configuration file I can edit or other process to fix this?
I apologize if this has already been talked about, I searched on my phone but I surprisingly didn't find anything

I have no idea on stock rom, but on custom firmware you can change it using JKay mod.
You will have to root your phone to be able to delete the application.
Or if you are not rooted, just upgrade to the current release of stock 2.3.6. (Settings > Software update). That removes the double tap home function.
If you like the stock rom then flash Entropy's stock rooted package. The rom is stock, deodexed and rooted. You can find it here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286432
Then just flash the mod on this page to remove the double tap action and the lag associated with it.

I am rooted, I guess I could just uninstall the app, I just didn't want to entirely get rid of it. I might try uninstalling then reinstalling, see if that gets rid if it

Do you have the full version of Titanium Backup? If so, you can just freeze it as well so it's not actually removed, just disabled.
I don't have the full version, I made backup and then uninstalled. I don't have voice control anymore but the double tap problem is gone so I'm happy

Okay as the title says, I'm unable to send ANY SMS messages from my phone to another when on AOKP, AOSP or CM9
It works flawlessly on the ICS Samsung roms though..
Can anybody please help..?
I've tried switching numerous roms..resurrection, hydrogen, F1 Galaxy Nexus, the SMS just doesn't seem to work..
Oddly, receiving works just fine though the sending is having trouble..

Ask your network for the required information reference the number .
As you are asking about non Samsung roms its worth checking the relevant development threads .

Method 1:

Select Phone Info
Scroll down and where it says SMSC, put in your Message Centre number including post code +
Then click update.

Method 1 gave me an update error
Method 2 since I'm on a Samsung ROM right now, I can change the center number from the messaging app itself. So I did and went to the dialer, entered the code and saw that the smsc changed
I then tried to again manually change it (though everything was working just fine but it was giving me some odd 07.. Kind of numbers)
The manually changing didn't quite work then I copied the same number that was displayed before when I changed the center number through messaging app and pasted it in the smsc to see if now it updates and it works!
I think all I have to do now is go to an aosp ROM of my choosing and input the same number in the smsc

1. Make sure your phone is connected to wi-fi.
Simply pull down the notification area and press
the leftmost button named Wi-Fi. Alternately you
could do this using mobile data but this could get
expensive if you are not on a data plan with your
operator.
2. Press the apps icon to take you to your apps.
3. Find and press the settings icon to take you to
the settings menu.
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and press
the About Device.
5. At the top there is a tab named Software update, press it.
6. On the next screen there is a tab named Update,
press that one.
7. Your phone will now connect to the Samsung
servers and if there is a update available the
upgrade should start imminently.sent from my HTC One V using xda premium

I think that if you update to jellybean the orange will go and any sim will work because I remember that I had a telestra tab which was running eclair but when I updated it to froyo telestra was gone.but I'm not sure if it will work on sg3.in phone section ask the devs if that is possible or flash a rom

Just flash a stock Rom with Odin, that will blow all the orange bloat to kingdom come!
ok, i'll just wait until aug 29 to see if jellybean can remove this.

Your official JB will be via Orange .
Or you can flash stock JB rom when it arrives before Orange release .
