Maybe it'll work, do you have the part number of the other battery?
All Galaxy S phones share the same battery. It'll work. Also, you can get Galaxy S batteries off Amazon.com for just about $5.
Work perfect ,even better that the vibrant battery because it lost longer it has more amps
great thanks guys for letting me know!

That's not entirely true, I have a fascinate battery and, while it works as good as any other galaxy s battery, it won't charge in the vibrant, I have to use an external charger!

Extended battery that doesn't change size?

Is there any standard sized extended batteries out there that don't change the form factor of the phone but give more juice?

I believe you can find it on amazon for cheaper.
There is one by Hyperion on Amazon. 1800 mAh but I can't comment on how good it actually is
Thanks for the speedy responses. I'll look into those
Make sure to report back how it works. The hyperion one mentioned above is not supposed to cause the boot loop problem.

Make sure it's the i777 one, they just released it and like mentioned above its supposed to remedy the boot loop issue that the i9100 caused.
Good info, ill order one and check it out too
I just received my hyperion battery today and I can say its just a Lil bit lighter and thinner then the original battery. Out of curiosity are we suppose to drain these battery first because I just put it in my phone and charged it.

Does it actually fit without warping the back?

Yeah it fits fine it also makes the phone a lil more lighter then it already is

Hey! Mugen Power has a OEM sized extended battery for AT&T SGS2
1800mAh man
Also they have a super-big one: 3200mAh
The actual answer is no.

Yes. There is a very reliable one where I bought several times from them.

Normally for one model they have the standard size with extend capacity and another super size with 2-3 times capacity of the standard one. I have tried HTC Sensation's extended battery, works great on my HTC.
Hope you can find what you need. Besides, they ship to all over the world for free!

The HTC Sensation is a special case because it shares batteries with the Evo 3D, but other phones either you're buying something with the same capacity as the stock battery, or less.
If OEMs could make a battery with more capacity in the same space, we have to ask ourselves, why wouldn't they do it?
Exactly... The amount of money they spend on the battery technology alone is crazy. In the old days before smart phones motorola lived and bashed on good battery life... It was the selling point for phones... Until smart phones. But in my opinion it's even more important

Its difficult to quantify battery life as its so subjective to actual use/ user habits.
That said, battery technology is pretty good and consistent. You can only get so much "juice" in a battery given its size.
samsung made a 2000 mAh for the euro galaxy s 2, it ads just a little bit of thickness
I would agree with the claims that battery life is nearly impossible to extend but I personally really noticed how much battery life went up with my Inspire when I tried going back to the OEM battery with my normal daily use I'd do with the extended battery. It was incredible what a difference a few hundred mAh make

It'd be hella nice to get a 2000 mAh battery with NFC support for less than $40.

[Q] Recommend a good extended battery?

Hey everyone,
I have a white samsung GS2 T989. I was thinking of buying an extended battery and/or an external battery pack charger (i was looking at an AnkerĀ® Astro Mini 2600mAh)
.
I was looking into a qcell brand battery, what do you think? Thanks for your time.

does your model have the same battery size as GT-I9100? If so, the most reliable extended battery i could recommend is the official samsung 2100mAh extended battery.. just to be safe
Yep. What Saywhat said. Genuine 2000mAh if there's one available for your phone. I've tried batteries from other manufacturers & been underwhelmed (nowhere near specified capacity, excessive heat when charging).
well, seidio's 3200mah battery is working really well for me. it last me two day with normal usage.
anyway, i think the op have the tmobile, whick mean that none of the battery for the i9100 will fit in it.
OP: i think you should ask the people in the tmobile s2 sub forum.

Anker isn't bad. I have two 1900mah ones and they are great

thanks for the suggestions guys,
I will check with the tmobile gs2 forum
Momax 2700 mAh, having LG cells. About 1 year use and very happy. Smaller stuff doesn't really make enough difference for me.

Which Battery?

Hi
I'm new here and was hoping to get a bit of advise. I need to get a new battery for an old Samsung Galaxy SII (i9100) and I have been having a look on Amazon. I know the correct battery I need but what troubles me is the amount of conflicting reviews on the batteries. Almost all of them have 50/50 people saying they work or don't work and it gets even worse when you try to look for a genuine Samsung battery with most of the reviews claiming that they are not in fact genuine Samsung.
What I'm hoping is that one of you have bought one in the past that worked okay either genuine or non genuine (it just needs to work) and that you remember which one it was you bought so I can take a look at that one too. At the moment I'm just confused by all the noise in the reviews and haven't got a clue which I should be going with.
Thanks in advance.
i did buy a original samsung battery from an orange ahop and i can tell u it improved my up time with 1 day!!! 2000 mah samsung

Yeah that's the trouble now though as it's such an old phone most shops don't stock them so you have to look online. You mention that you got a 2000mah battery, do these work okay then? I thought I'd have to get a 1650mah as that's what came with the phone? Can you put any mah? in the phone?
use the 2000 mah, samsung made it special for s2 and is a great battery i bought it 2 months ago from store so they still make them

Replacement Battery Thread

Any info on which replacement batteries are reliable and when they will be available. So far I've only seen some cheap ones on eBay that I assume will be garbage in comparison to the one that comes with the neo.
Why worry so soon? The original batt is great and batt life is much better than Note 2.

Since one of the biggest reasons I bought this device was for the replaceable battery, I like to have a spare just incase in my bag or something if I forget to charge it and don't have the time to.
Hi blcistheking, Did you end up finding batteries? My Dad purchased the same phone (on-line) and is unable to get replacement batteries easily. I'm hoping you may be able to recommend a good battery / supplier. Cheers, D
