Hello,
I am having some issues with me new HDC Galaxy Note Plus MTK6575 Android 4.0.3.
1. The Google Location service is not functioning. Although I have the option enabled, none of the Apps recognize that the option is enable (location.jpg).
Therefore, I can never know where am I in the map or for example, use the Latitude from Google, Check/in from Google, location of Facebook, near bus station with transport apps!
2. The ROM version has a bug, which forbids to move apps to the external SD card (Storage.jpg). Right now I have the USB storage full and the micro-SD card useless!
3. The functionality of power ON and OFF doesn’t work! It does go to power off, but never come back to life (WakeUp.jpg)!
4. It was not “Rooted Free”.

For prob. 4, I already found solution.

With Haipai I9220 MTK6575 Android 4.0 Firmwares, Custom Roms (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27518489)
There is an amazing discussion. Can we do with this device?
First of all do you have the right drives so Windows 7 recognize as Haipai I9220 MTK6575. In my computer the mobile is recognized but in the Device Manager appear HTC .......and when I do the operation of plugging the mobile without battery the computer cannot stabilized the connection.
Hope this Thread will be useful.

UP, For information the application will be run on a rooted phone
I've been a serious Android hacker for years, and am constantly trying out new ROMs and apps on both my phone and tablet. But one issue has always irritated me, and I have yet to find an app to ease the pain.
The problem is maintaining apps that were NOT installed from the Market, but from .apk files scattered in various directories on the SD card. What I need is a tool that combines the functionality of an app manager like Easy Installer together with details of all currently-installed apps: In a single big list sorted by app name, I'd like to see the installed version (if any), plus every available .apk file and the version it contains. That would make it SO much easier to know if I need to update installed apps with a newer version, and to delete multiple .apk files of outdated versions.
I've seen lots of apps (including the Apps menu built into Android Settings) to view the installed apps and their version info -- and also lots of apps to scan the whole SD card for .apk files and display the actual app info (name, version, etc.) vs. just the filenames. What's missing is an easy way to compare all these.
Has anyone discovered a single app that will do this??

Just got my TMo S3 yesterday, and before moving forward with rooting it - as always with new phones - I started trying all the options with the existing stock ROM and vendor stuff, to understand what to expect, should something come down that pipe, later on. Things noticed (phone connected to a mac osx lion):
- the "universal" Android file transfer app won't work at all - cannot find device. Works for other Android devices, so that's not the app or the USB
- the kies app (which I installed from Samsung's site) prompted me for a firmware upgrade, which I agreed with -> marked as "SGH-T999 ver 12.04.12.01". The process appeared to go just fine (albeit taking more than 15min), after which the keis app asks again for the upgrade, to the same firmware level ... what gives?!?

Hi to all
I have a tab with following specs
TCC8803 800mhz, 256ram, 4gb intern SD, display 7" 800x480 capacitive, HDMI, rtl8188cus wifi, no 3g. no bluetooth, no gps, support extern SD -32gb,
support extern keyb thru USB-OTG.
tab was rooted worked ok till tried to put Linux through Internet. Was downloading packages and then wifi lost connection.
ever since the chip warm-up ( opened tab and felt it ! ) but no display or sound at all !! I think i left it on debug mode in order to have
external keyboard work.
windows 7 will see it as 'unknown/ unrecognized' device, i forced ADB drivers to it, I get Android phone but also 'device cannot start.
Tried to conx with TV via HDMI but nothing there too.
I went through many forums, potential solutions but cant find anything applicable to my problem. Tried to format a 4gb SD with sardu
tested ok with quemu but nothing on the tab. no lights, no sound, silence of death !!! FYI no power led on this 150 euro device.
have saved some system files if someone wants me to upload.
So decided to ask for help / ideas in this forum.
thanks in adv
