S-Pen with Eraser - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

For those who didn't know, the Samsung 7 Slate uses S-Pen technology and it's pen has an eraser. I tested this on my note today and the eraser works.
Here is a link to the pen. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Serie...la0-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=390957

Yep. Wacom based. Tablet PC stylus will also work on the note. You can get a nice stylus with eraser for cheap on Ebay or Amazon.

Responded too fast....sorry I was under the impression that you said our note would work as a wacom replacement when connected to a pc or a wacom could connect to our note. Must test this when I get home.
Cool that's why I didn't reply

That's cool seems Samsungs S pen isn't all that exclusive to our note. I assume it has something to do with what ever software on these products that register the pen. As I doubt those products have the same hardware as the note.

It already supports erasing. Lots of reports confirming this. Do a search.

This only works with certain Wacom models though, and only certain Tablet PC models. It doesn't work with my Toshiba Satellite R25 Tablet PC OR my Graphire 3 Wacom tablet.

[Q] Stylus for S3

Hello, I been looking for a nice decent stylus for my S3 but I hate using those thick rubber tip stylus. I'm curious if stylus with pointy plastic tip would work on s3? Something that looks alike nintendo DS stylus? Could anyone try possibly?
If something like this works?

Bamboo Stylus Feel for Samsung Note

I'm looking for a wacom based pen that I can actually hold like a pen. The issue I'm having is finding something compatible with the GN3. The closest thing I can find is the bamboo stylus feel for Samsung Note but the website says it's only been tested on the note 2, note 8, and 10.1.
Anyone out there have this pen and tried it on the Note 3? I emailed wacom and all I got in reply was that it hadn't been tested yet on the note 3.
Anyone know of another pen that is compatible with the note 3? I'd love to be able to still use the s-pen features but with a pen I can actually hold (I have big hands).
Thanks in advance

The Microsoft Surface Pro stylus and the bamboo stylus feel are both compatible.
I have both. 1 at work, 1 at home.

I've used the "Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 inch S-Pen Stylus with Eraser" with my Note 3, and it works fine, but is still slightly smaller than a normal (e.g. fountain) pen. I also own a Note 10.1, and that worked with my non-Samsung Wacom styluses (bought with Wacom digitisers). I would anticipate that any Wacom active stylus should work OK.
Alternatively - if you can get any Note Stylus cheaply (Amazon seem to have a few), it should be reasonably easy to attach it to a normal pen?
Since it seems that note 10.1 stylus is compatible with note 3, I should add HP's tablet PC pen. Works perfectly and to me it was free! If you have one around give it a try!

The Wacom Intuos and Cintiq pens do not work. Which is really a disappointment, because I was so looking forward to using my Intuos4 pen......
So I, too, would very much like to know if the Bamboo stylus works on the Note 3.
I have a thinkpad x220 tablet and it has a wacom pen. Just tested it out and it works fine. Has the button, and the eraser end actually works too which is a plus. It's like a full size pen and I think its about $15 on ebay.
Knows anyone a stylus like the Bamboo Stylus Feel but also with included pen?

Bro Code win. Also, I love the lenovo pens. So, they button actually triggers the s-pen menu options too? That would be awesome. I'll order one today if that's the case. Thanks!

ya the button worked just like the spen and the best part is the eraser works too (at least on note pad which I tested it on) - wish the spen had an eraser
edit; I should note that I have a spare one that also works but is slightly off because the digitalizer is at the end of the pen and not pen tip, just remedied the problem by trimming some of the back of the pen tip off now it's good but probably a bit difficult to pull out if I was to replace it. Just a heads up incase you get a generic one.
Thanks for all the feedback. I actually came up with an alternative solution. I picked up a Pentel retractable eraser pen - http://quill.scene7.com/is/image/Quill/746_s7?iv=CnlqG1&wid=360&hei=360
Took out the eraser and just snapped in my s-pen. Fits perfectly and it even has a little button on the side that I can use to trigger the s-pen button. Once I'm done I just pull it out and place it back in the note 3. I also took apart another pen with a rubber grip and slid it over the eraser pen so it holds the s-pen in tight and gives me extra cumfort. Freakin' amazing

I can't use it while the spen is in its silo. Any thought about that? I am using civiz flexkat 2.2 rom.
I can confirm that he Wacom Bamboo Stylus Feel does indeed work on the Note 3.
But Pentel eraser hack is pretty damn cool.... gotta find one

C-pen working

So I took a chance and ordered one of the Samsung C-pen to see if it works on the 8.4 and it does and it doesn't. For what I wanted it for, it works.

Can you expand on what exactly does and doesn't work?
Well you have to use a little more pressure than a regular capacitive pen. I didn't buy it the intention of taking notes or drawing with it. For me it was more tapping areas of the screen in my office doc's and such. That's why I sy works and it doesn't.
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
Yah I was hoping that it would be more useful than it is. I miss the s-pen and hope release a note 8.4
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
poetic capacitive stylus is more affordable
they both do the same thing
i usually go with the slightly more affordable option they seem to have done me good so far.
its just like a finger
u can use when ur wearing gloves
good for cold weather
http://www.poeticcases.com/capacitive-stylus-pen
What makes c pen different from s pen?
C-Pen is (Finger) touch only. and the S-Pen requires that screen have an additional wacom-like layer built-in to allow pressure-sensitive movements and pen hovering identification with the pen and the tablet screen.
So the s-pen won't work on our tablets ?

Unfortunately no. I tried with the note 10.1 spen and not worked.
Also, I tried with a regular pencil ( which works perfectly and nicely on the S5 ) , also not working with the tab pro ????

I've been using the Maglus(micro fiber tip) stylus on my tab pro 12.2.. Its the best stylus for capacitive touch screens out. Just read the Amazon reviews. Love it! I've been using it for note taking and drawing. :good:

With stylus for Tab 12.2

Hi,
I'd like to use occasionally a stylus with my Tab 12.2
I've tried the Samsung c pen and it doesn't work very well.
I've also tried a wacom bamboo feel and it doesn't work at all.
I'd like the stylus to have a small hard nib and not one made of rubber.
Any suggestions? Something tried. ..
Thanks

Check out the Musemee Notier V2. I have not personally used it, but it sounds promising.

Maybe I'm spoiled with the Notes & the S-Pen but I didn't like it at all. I can't write well with it at all and I can't draw with it either. The lines aren't smooth the have a wiggle to them, don't know any other way to describe it. I gave it to my wife to try on her Nexus, her comment was that it's weird, she likes her Bamboo much better. Guess its going back.

gramps50, please would you be able to advise whether the Bamboo stylus works with the Tab Pro 12.2 itself?
I'm looking for a stylus for the Tab Pro and I'm not sure why e.g. the Bamboo Note is listed to be compatible with Note Pro 12.2, but there's no mention of Tab Pro 12.2, when technically (I hope) these should have exactly the same displays / hardware.

I always thought the the screen differentiated between the two in that they have resistive vs. capacitive touchscreens which would explain why the stylus doesn't work that well with the T900, as well as the difference in weight...
thanks @arcadia2uk, that makes sense - i was thinking the only difference is the stylus and that's why they had to make it thicker - i'll try to check the detailed hw specs somewhere (i'll post here if i do).
