Hello everybody
I have few questions about HDMI work on LY-F1 tablet. I have the device and the firmware is a stock 4.0.3 from the April.
I am trying to send video with 5.1 sound via HDMI to my receiver. But on receiver the sound is not 5.1 such as rear dynamics doesn't work as they should. I've tried various tests and the sound which i should to hear from the back i hear from the front. Does anybody know how to fix the issue?
Also in some cases i don't hear the sound via HDMI. For example if i try to open avi file with mp3 sound via MX Player.
Also how to turn off display on the tablet if i watch video via HDMI?

I have the same issue. No problem when listening on a wired headset.

Same problem on gingerbread as well, so not an HC issue.

This lag seems to be inherent on many mobile devices. It possibly due to excessive buffering within the firmware or hardware to maintain a stream.
As many know, there is no problem with the wired headset but I have also connected an external BT transmitter I have with my Motorola headphones to the jack socket and there is virtually no lag then, showing that its an internal problem, not just BT connectivity.
If it is not hardware related or needs a kernal fix then HTC should be able to address this, otherwise its down to Google.
Are there any video apps that'll delay the video so you can get it back in sync? I haven't found one yet, but surely someone makes one...
Sound on Linux and therefore Android is an absolute convoluted mess. The poor implementation leads to all kinds of problems. I'm not aware of any players that allow audio / video sync adjustment. Possibly when VLC player arrives on Android.

But 2 seconds??? not likely to be able to adjust that out. It would require too much buffering. What format is that in?
Hm. Just tried again and it's working perfectly. Awesome!
BB wifi flyer, GB w/ latest updates, Plantronics 903 headphones, and MX video player. Audio is perfect.
Video is HD tv, encoded by handbrake w/ AAC audio.
Hi, just to let you guys know. When connecting the phone via hdmi or multimadie dock to the TV, It has audio problems like a background noise and the volume of the video goes up and down for no reason. It gets annoying the more you turn up the volume.
Yes i have tried diferrent hdmi cables, different videos and TVs.
Hello,
is there a chance to get sound out of my phones headphone jack while it is in MHL or Miracast mode. The sound really doesn't need to go to the projector on the other end of the room.
Root and xposed are available if needed for this.
Maybe there is a media player that has a setting for it?
Any ideas?
I have samsung S5 running android marshmallow. I have connected it to my TV via hdmi cable. Whenever I make a whatsapp video call to S5, video is shown on TV but call audio comes only from phone speaker, not from TV speaker.
What do I need to do to route call audio to tv speaker ? I have tried soundabout app from playstore, but it does not seem to be working. I have rooted it. Any command from terminal that could do the trick or any other app ?
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has managed to get Audio Passthrough working. So if you've got a movie file which has DTS or Dolby Digital sound, and you connect your phone with a HDMI dongle to your Audio receiver which can process DTS or Dolby Digital, to actually get surround sound out of it.
I've tried VLC and MX player, none worked. If I connect the exact same equipment to my laptop, it does work. So it must be either the video apps or the phone. I've tried multiple settings in the apps (of course I've enabled audio passthrough), didn't change anything.
Any help on this?
Thanks!

Alright but that's no surround sound. You're using a DAC which outputs stereo sound to a 3.5mm jack and a stereo headphones ...
I asking same question, do you find the solution now? I want to use smartphone to do audio passthrough to amplifier
