My laptop wont ADB Logcat and I should be getting a new one since this one is already broke so when i get ADB on the new one ill Logcat for there and on out
Never mind, the Rom doesn't charge so when it's dead it'll shut itself off and what you have to do is when it boots hurry up and put it in recovery and restore your rom!
i would but i dont know how...if its simple enough...i will learn how to do it
Alright thank you!!
so i need the sdk right

Use the kernel from the new build 2012628 or don't use it at all. Previous build is no good. :silly:
It's fantastic, thanks man.
From the JoyOS porting guide by blindndumb:
Copy libsqlite.so and libsqlite_jni.so from JoyOS ROM to Base ROM , else you will get acore process ROM to Base ROM , else you will get acore process error and continuous FCs
Thank you!

Does copying just those two libs from JoyOS over to your current port (the one that boots) cause a bootloop?

There are a few threads here about unbricking. The recovery SD makes it pretty easy too(as long as it works) good luck.
Yeah, I'm having troubles unbricking i keep getting to the screen where it says please contact nook if this happens again I do have a recovery on the SD card but, when I put the recovery on my SD card it on gives me 50MB left
Thats because that is the size of the image.
You'll need to expand the size of the card using gparted in linux.

DXROM (Dian Xin rom) is developed by a Chinese Company (similar to MIUI). It is styled between CM7 and MIUI.
The official site: http://www.dianxinos.com/?lang=en
Forum: http://bbs.dianxinos.com/forum.php
This rom is ported using DXROM for N1 12031517, CM7, NT Stock 1.4.1 and Succulent's Kernel
Credits:
1. Succulent - for the kernel
2. CM7 and DXROM Teams - for the base roms
3. Team B - Goncezilla, CeltiWebSolutions & Indirect - for starting it first which provides a great reference
4. All NT Developers for root, hacks, CWM, guides ...
5. Me - for porting the rom

Notes:
1. The rom is from China. So some of the apps may have Chinese characters.
2. Do not ask me for language pack as I don't know how. If somebody wants to do it I'd appreciate very much.

Is there a way to run this from the SDcard? Thanks.

Well, I'm back on cm9 because about every 3 minutes or so it would kick my out to the boot sequence. I kept trying to download the LCD density modder to fix the screen density from hdpi to mdpi, but I couldn't due to the frequent crashes. I dunno if this is just me and I botched the install somehow or if this ROM is still extremely alpha. If these are routine problems id recommed putting "WIP" or "devs only" in the thread name. Just IMO. Hope this is just a problem with my install.

First install caused boot loops but after wiping everything once more and flashing again it booted, no problem. Excellent build everything works great. I do with button Savior worked though. Thanks

Make sure you do a factory reset after flashing the rom. And don't restore data from cm9 using TitaniumBackup.

The rom should work but the kernel is for 16g only. You need to mod it (change the irboot) for it to work on 8g.

First this rom base off @Kibuuka AOSP ICS and @Texasice Evervolv Perdo ICS for Nexus One. I am not the true developer therefore all credits go to the true developer as I just port the rom.
I intend to port this rom just for us to play around while waiting for the true dev solved the bugs.

Make a backup of everything before flash, and flash the rom as usually.
Google apps and some applications included in this rom.
All the bugs and not working on the base rom will same on this rom, I'm sure kibuuka will solve it soon
Theme Chooser not working, you can see the themes but when you choose it, the device will reboot and freeze, hv to reflash again.
Still hv random reboots sometimes.
Pls anyone feel free to give any help and solution as I'm not experienced in building rom and linux code related stuff.
Once again, all credit and thanks to the true developer and this rom just for us to play around and feel other features on ICS.
Sorry for my bad English.

Update to Evervolv-perdo-2.2.0a6 passion, the latest build and might be final as evervolv team working on Jellybean now.
The big improvement on this original build is native camera and camcorder can record and play, but due to camera does not work on our device, so not much changes we get here. I will update again when there is any significant changes on our base rom.
Not work :
- Theme manager still not work (but work well on my supersonic).
- Camera
- Data for some user including me
- Wifi Tethering
- All the bugs from base rom
Looks like this build hv fixed unsaved settings when reboot.
Gapps not included so have to flash seperately, find TheManii thread about newer gapps.
Special thanks to Froilson, Mazda and Team Dirt for SGS3 Samsung Touchwiz and other apps.

Happy flashing

Ok, guys here's the link of the ParanoidAndroid ROM i have been trying to port from One V. I have the permission from 1ceb0x.
LINK: http://d-h.st/Rkj
Gapps: http://d-h.st/ul6
Thanks to 1ceb0x, for giving me permission to use his ROM, and Lloir for his CM9 base...
How to flash:
1. take a nandroid backup.
2. wipe cache and data
3. go to fastboot mode and connect your phone to pc
4. place system.img in the same directory as fastboot
5.open command line (terminal) and go to your fastboot directory
6. type fastboot flash system system.img
7. reboot
We really need stable 4.1 AOSP for me to continue working on this. Waiting.
Changelog
Code:
0.1-----Initial build
0.2-----Used Lloir's vendor and device trees, tweaked build.prop, removed hTC crap
0.3-----Rebased, now using Lloir's CM9. Also, link is now on Dev-Host.
0.4-----Fixed updater-script.
0.5-----Now ROM packed in system.img

Um, I'm not sure if I'll be able to, I've been trying to get an angle on how all this stuff works and I get the basics but when I look at github, it's like Chinese to me (or Taiwanese, since its HTC). I've looked at countless guides to port CM9, set up VMWare and Ubuntu 10 but it's a steep learning curve. Last month I maxed out our bandwidth (100 gig) trying to set up a local mirror for the source, which kind of defeated the purpose

Download seems to have started just fine for me...I'd flash it now, but its not done downloading, and i have to head to work shortly.
I'll give it a shot later on, and see what I can find with it.
File dropper is not happy with me trying to download.
I have not bee successful yet.. Anyone have luck yet?

OP doesn't want mirrors, but I downloaded it and I'll upload to my 4shared account and will gladly share the link so that we can jumpstart feedback & dev for the Rom. I'll PM you JEZZE when its done uploading. Correct me if I'm wrong Restl3ss but the file is 576 mb right ?

Alpha
Thank you for the feedback everyone, as I said it is a first alpha but I've begun work on build 0.2 alpha which hopefully should make the rom more usable. Also I'd like to clear up a little confusion on what is meant by stock, by stock I meant to say aosp, I apologize for the mix up!
Happy flashing, and thanks for testing!
I am working on getting Ubuntu Touch up on Dell Streak 5.
I got it up to the point when it boots, but crashes surfaceflinger, drmserver, mediaserver, servicemanager right after start and I could use some help. So I decided to share what I have so far. :fingers-crossed:
You will need:
CWM recovery (StreakMod recovery won't do; I use ClockWork-6.0.1.2)
saucy-preinstalled-touch-armhf.zip from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-touch/daily-preinstalled/
cm-10.1-20130818-UNOFFICIAL-streak.zip from https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0BwLXYTrPyZc0YzFNQnlENjZQM1E&export=download
Flashing:
Reboot to recovery
Install cm-10.1-...-streak zip
Wipe user data / factory reset
Install saucy-preinstalled-touch zip (be patient - it takes A LOT of time)
You're done - reboot. Take a look at logcat.
THANKS:
This would not be possible without invaluable help of the following people
- giveen (CM10 android device files)
- nom051205 (CM9 android device files)

DISCLAIMER
Please keep this thread technical.
Please restrain from praises - instead you can get me a beer (preferably of your own brew).
Please restrain from "this sucks and yo momma" comments - you will be quietly ignored.
Part of the problem is the need for a proper CM10.1 port. You've probably seen that in the porting guide. Also the ICS binaries/proprietary files will probably help you. Try it from our ICS port or grab from a similiar device.
Also try going back to quantal, as saucy requires a flipped image (loads ubuntu first, then android parts)
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-touch-preview/quantal/monthly-04.1/
Also this really helped get my device to display
Step 5. Download http://d-h.st/eFQ
Step 5a. adb push libc-2.15.so /data/ubuntu/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libc-2.15.so
Step 6. adb reboot
Don't forget to set up your DPI conf file.

Is it really worth trying?
Assuming that it would work, it does not help me in getting saucy up, and running outdated release isn't really a goal.
Could you please describe what is changed in your libc-2.15.so? (Or point me to a post explaining the change)

A guy has patched it,
Also I used this guys gits as they were easier to do deal with than ubuntu's weird system of updating their junk. Just add these to your manifests

What is the nature of this patch?

Yeah. They really suck at sticking with Bazaar.
Thanks for the tip.

No idea, I didn't make the patch. If you look in those gits commit history, its in there somewhere.
Any progress @smokku ?

I'm still at the point where the system boots, but Ubuntu services are crashing right after. :crying:
So I moved to getting Android up, to have a working base to work on. See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45668042&postcount=43
Most of the time you need a cm 10.1 port first.

Maybe kernel 3.x can help you?
There is a thread of hunderteins and nop in the forum about the kernel 3.x.
Any progress yet..????

It won't happen until I find out why enabling devtmpfs makes Streak's kernel unbootable.
So far I found out that it fails on memory initialization then, but without serial console and kprint, I'm unable to debug this issue.
I found a process online in which ubuntu is flashed over streakdroid
Is it same or different.?
If used, is it smoother.?
