I have installed 7.10.8773.98 on my phone.
MMS seems to be updated (i can add many pictures now)
However, I can't seem to find the Internet Sharing feature. It's not under settings.
Could It be that it is because I swapped sims from my at&t phone? Is there any way I can change the registry (or push a certain xml) to my device to make it work?

There are two updates : OS and Nokia. Nokia's update affering tethering (and new marketplace logo). You've to made all updates to have this functionnality.

I had the exact same issue. But flashed the Nokia CAB file (which i had forgotten to flash) and all is well now :laugh:

this is completely safe, atleast if you backup with Cab sender everything should be just fine , i live in mexico and the updates are FAAAAR from being released here, i used Cab sender method and everything went fine. :good:

As long as you use the official CABs intended for your phone the risk is very slim.

My Lumia-800 is Orange UK Branded and sim unlocked. The Internet Sharing is available, but when I try to activate it I get:
"CONNECTION NOT SHARED There's no mobile data connection to share at the moment. Check your mobile settings and signal, and try again"
I have configured my network settings using nokia's app and 3g data is woking fine.
My current version is:
OS Version: 7.10.8773.98
Firmware Version: 1750.0808.8773.12220
Hardware Version: 112.1402.2.3
Radio Software ver.: 8255

I read very recently a post in another forum which mentioned that an application named Wireless modem is present in the most recent versions of the XDA's ROM. It allows you to directly connect the serial port/infrared port with the GSM modem in your device.
Does anyone know if this is true?? I can't find verification of this elsewhere.

This is true. The test-only Czech 3.16.43 version has this feature, but no released versions have it yet.
I was playing with it whole afternoon with no luck... I used serial cable and tried to use GPRS connectivity, modem fails to acknowledge GPRS AT+CGDCONT command I managed to use it as a dial-up modem for ordinary 9.6K data call though... :-/

I think dev's must release a cab update with their cfw so that users who don't want to lose their data can use the cab to prevent data lose.I am eager to install rataplan 2.1 on ma lumia 710 , but I don't want to lose my games and apps...dev's do sone thing plz...

What variant of the FW should I download if I have a carrier unlocked phone in Europe, Romania? Lumia 800 of course.
So, I tried updating to this FW, the thing is, on navifrim, when i look for my lumia 800's product code (RM-801 059J3G0), its not there... whereas if i look for it in the nokia care suite it is. I'm not sure which to download. On nokia care suite i get my cell phone is NDT EURO 1 BLACK MATT, but i've yet to find that same thing on navifirm... Should i just download one that looks alike? or what am i supposed to do?
Sorry if its a stupid question, but i dont want to brick my phone

Does it matter which color to use? I have lumia 800 cyan and want to use German firmware, but there is a firmware for any but cyan( Can I use a firmware for a black phone?
Hm, I was able to download the firmware via the NCS, but my phone (which was automatically detected as RM-801) does not want to "switch mode".
Any ideas?
It seems that the phone is not recognised when it restarts as the Qualcomm CDMA driver has a warning message next to it that there are no drivers available...
Just installed the new firmware (used the "RM-801_CV_Netherlands_VAR252549_Black_12460_001_v6 (059L9Q7)" ROM).
Nice to be able to shrink and expand the tiles to my liking... and the Bing wallpaper of course.
Oh boy, I just can't wait to get a Rainbown Rom mode ROM with the new things like Bluetooth, working with the cool stuffs like root acess, clock hub and others... It will be awesome!!!
Looks like WhatsApp is not working properly on 7.8: No SMS code is transmitted. Anyone else tried it?

BUT
as far as i know Bluetooth Share and Ringtone maker should have gotten support with the 7.8 update.
My problem is, if i go to those apps in the marketplace by a QR code, tells me 'it's not available for your phone'
The only weird thing i noticed is the app names on the market are translated to hungarian (i use the phone in Hungary), can the problem be related to the translation? Is there a way to install these two apps on a locked device (nokia dload)?

When I installed 7.8 on my lumia 800 using Navifirm and Nokia Care Suit, Bluetooth Share and Ringtone Maker got installed by default. I didn`t had to install them separately.

Install firmware region Germany ...(preinstaled Bluetooth Share). An set region in phone Germany. For my lumia 610 is ok. (Ringtone maker is not disponible).
Folks at windowsmania.pl have got hold of Amber ROMs for both Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 phones. Their servers are very slow at the moment and I could not download the ROM for my Lumia 920, but it is good that someone has it!

For anyone interested, the update works perfectly, it is a French versión but you can change the language later.
I link Glance very much... but my surprise was that when I was installing my applications I browsed the Store and I found something that I was waiting for... LINADA GET, an application that let me download music from my NAS into the WP8 music library.
Now I can say, loud and clear, WP8 is the best mobile OS!

you can download it via NCS and product support tool 5.0 within NCS. just download the right one for your serial number, every phone region has its own product code. it is in the sim card tray printed. something like "059R3S1" thats a vodafone german version of the white lumia 920 so you type in yours in the NCS product support tool 5.0. there is on top of the app an setting like tools -> firmware download, there you type in your product code and see if there is a newer version than your on the phone. if not then type in what stays in the first post on one of the two links... there is the product code for lumia 920 and 820 on both sites.

sadly you need a username and password to get on the nokia servers in my version of care centre
and mr crab has removed all the files from his site.. annoyingly I have the 1.3gb file, but none of the others!!!! so frustrating

So what product code did you use as I can't find it on that website
So i installed the Amber update with GDR2 firmware, but i have a question. All sites say that Nokia Pro Cam (from Lumia 1020) will come to 920/925 amber update. I only recieved the smart camera app, but not the pro camera app. Is it possible that they made a mistake and confused pro camera with smart camera, and nokia pro camera will not come to 920/925 devices?

I used Product Code 059R4H6 - which is the RM-821 (Non US) Developer version. This ROM has everything unlocked (2G to 4G) and I have found to be the perfect ROM all round

And it's pulled now. I've noticed this today. Only the 1308 build is available now.
