why i can not download from market?

I don't know what exacly you mean, but i have problems with it lately aswell!
The download doesn't start... it say's it starting but it does not! i fixed it a couple of times by closing the market and starting it up again and then go with the menu button to my downloads... and suddenly it started downloading again!
dunno what it is... maybe someone here knows!

I'm on Dutch Vodafone.
It seems there is a problem with a proxy something on the dutch vodafone service, i'm on it as well, but that doesn't give a explaination why the market isn't working on wifi!
Just use Market Enabler (download from google code) and fake your provider to o2 germany. This way I can download paid applications in Greece It will fix your problem
Can't download anything in the UK either. Been like this since last night.
Fixed it now, cleared the cache for google apps and market.
Talked to Vodafone customer Service. Ita a worldwide problem. Google is working on it, according to the Android blogs.
Hi all, one thing I read and it works for me: sign into Google chat to make the downloads work. Then you can just sign out.
I'm not saying it will work for you, but it seems to let me download as soon as I sign in google chat.

when i click on market icon and then click on applications nothing will happen.
after 2 minutes of waiting it says that : " there is a problem with signing in with your google account " or sth like that!
is it your problem like mine? because i have bought hero newly and never couldn't download any program. neither no market connecting!
if it is a general problem tell me.

I have been facing the same problem. I keep getting a message that there is no data sim card in the device (although there is, plus I was trying to connect via wi-fi) and so I can't sign in. I have never downloaded an app from the Market before. All seems to work great on my HTC Magic, though.

This is just crazy! I wiped, installed, wiped, installed, cleared all partitions/sd, installed, wiped, installed and still wasn't able to download anything. As soon as I started google talk all downloads came rolling in!

I talked again to Vodafone Netherlands.
A definitive solution is:
After seting up or signing in and using Market via WIFI, the market keeps working on 3G.
After a ROM update etc. you have to make the first contact by WIFI.
Google is working on the issue.
I just got an update to marketplace and in settings it's now possible to change prefered installation path to storage card
Also there's a list to choose different marketplace locations I just tried out the US market and it was nice since it has many more apps

Mine SAID it checked for a new version, but didn't update anything. Uninstaled and reinstalled, and now I have the new version.
Not sure the region selection is working right though... Unless the UK really DOES have 92 items in the games category and the US only 4... (WQVGA device)

I had 7 games in US (english)... also in the show case panel I've only seen one icon. I better switched back to Germany. 37 games. Strange!
It's also really terrific to select the country from the list. I almost had to grab out my stylus. Horrible! I thought they had skinned it already!?
I switched to US English.
But it is not working properly. Many apps are missing.
For instance I cannot find Kinoma in the US list.
Anyone know if the Devs are working to get the new play.google app to our phones with or without custom roms?
Out phones are listed are supported however no update to my market app yet.

WTH would google switch to play.google.com and not stick with something a little less childish for those that are actually trying to get android in to the mainstream business enviroment. Basically i have to tell people to allow play.google.com through firewalls now instead of market.android.com sounds funny to me.

Mine just updated. Had to re-accept the EULA and went on my merry way like normal market. Not that big of a deal really.

Google Maps has location tracking data under "My Timeline." Historically it has been super accurate, showing the roads I used even when driving long distances. I also always use Google Maps. Ever since I switched to the Mate 10 Pro, this data has been straight lines across 20-40 miles of distance and highly inaccurate arrival times. I thought it was just Google, but I switched back to an Essential Phone and it became perfectly accurate again. I'm back to the Mate 10 Pro and I hope it'll work now, but I'm not holding my breath.
I often use the departure and arrival times in My Timeline for work data, so I'd love if it worked. Any thoughts?

Did you try to accurate your GPS with any GPS app on the store??
I have same experience. I believe it's to do with Huawei battery saver. Pls let me know if you find a solution

I have not, but I use Google Maps extensively and never had even the smallest problem with accuracy. Always follows the road accurately and instantly recognizes turns (unlike the built in GPS in my Lexus sometimes). The "My Timeline" data is often just a straight line between my house and my destination, even if it's across a bridge.

Same here, whatever i tried didn't solve it (even clean cache and data).... Even tried disabling battery optimization settings on Maps and Google Services... Nothing. I also have indications that is has something to do with multiple google accounts (i find some locations being reported in some of my other accounts). Are you on a single account? But yes, same problems, straight lines, lost stops, no routes, getting stuck in one location for hours etc...
im only on one account. is there a bigger huawei users forum than this one and the huawei subreddit?
i feel like theres so many questions with no answers and nothing being done about it

What for? Any particular reason? I have put everything to manual in Launch settings, and also almost every program to Ignore Battery Optimization. Battery is working perfectly, SOT time is still amazing, and i believe programs are working fine (except Maps and Garmin Connect)... If your reasons are RAM, then i believe RAM exists to use it, not having it free all the time...

Because manual battery optimization is buggy right now.
Settings>Battery>Launch>Manage automatically all apps
In other thread here in XDA I've user said that putting chrome to be managed automatically did the trick.
You can try both ways and comment here the results...

I had everything automatic the first week and Maps History started having those problems from day 1... So, automatic doesn't do the trick for sure. Same goes for Garmin Connect...

You can report bugs by phonecall to huawei or on twitter or go on hicare app on your phone.

potential solution
I checked TimeLine today and since 27/01/2018, journeys are recorded with the correct level of detail again! Google Maps app last updated 04/01/2018 and I'm still on C432. No idea what changed to start TimeLine working again properly but obviously I'm really happy. Can anyone else report that journeys are being correctly recorded again?

I've got the same issue. I tried all of the tips and tricks I found online to no avail. Mine just says No Visited Places. ONce is awhile it does show a place. It pisses me off tremendously. Google Timeline is a great tool to remember where you've been
If you can't remember where you've been then you have bigger problems than Google Maps not working properly!
Personally, I try to turn everything OFF that records location(s).

Just because it isn't useful for you doesn't mean it isn't useful for anyone else. I use it for work. Exact driving distances and times at clients house are very important.
Firmware v156 is out today, i'm going to install it now.
According to the changelog, they've included many updates for the camera as well as some google security updates.
Stay tuned.
Already on .156 , can't see Charming portrait mode and also safety net fail because firmware is not certified by google yet.

Beside the Charming portrait mode, can you see any other camera improvements? i.e. highlights interpertation, fine-detail, sharpness, noise?

On the rear cam, in portrait mode, there is a "super" mode which can only assume is the charming addition. This came in .153. On .156 also, there was horrible colour shifting when zooming previous, seems better now and quicker to stabilise before the shot. I could be in 'placebo' mode though, will test more later and report back :good: Re Safety Net, luckily nothing I use requires it, I guess there is more than one price to pay to be at the bleeding edge here

Haven't done much testing but as you said , super mode was already there on .153. Will update later tonight after further tests.
I have the impression that portrait mode is more blurry, not as sharp as before....on 156
Not sure yet will be testing more later.
But will be following this thread and giving my impressions later.
PS : also seems the battery drains faster than on 153
156 is basically 153 with May security update.

I mean does your "ok Google" voice activation work? (On .156)
Google app > more > settings > voice > voice match (access with voice match)
For me it's grayed out and I tried everything (cache, delete data, force stop, disabled, reboot etc ..)

Yes, Ok Google works well without any issues even when the device is locked and in AOD mode (.156). You need to be on US English both phone and assistant settings

You need tro set both language and region. I live in Italy and had region set to Italy and language to US Engligh. Assistant said that US English was not supported. When I changed region to United States, it worked perfectly.
yea voice match is also grayed out in mine too. .153 system language set to english

Region has to be English-speaking, too. I had to set to United States although I live in Italy.
I think voicematch is regulated language/region wise due to GDPR regulations.
