Can someone please help me or point me to a thread about Rooting the Galaxy 10.1 on a Mac. I know this is a noob question, but I am a noob to this. Is the XT720 similar to XT530? If so, can we use the same methods to ROOT? Please guide my how. This is my 1st Motorola Android Phone and I need any help you can give me.

You know there is a full section of the forum for the questions [Q], "Galaxy SII Q&A ", you posted in the android development, this is the wrong section.
Also a bit of more effort on use the search tool of the forum isnt a bad idea, that question got asked at least two hundred times and it's full of answers if you use the search tool.

Sorry if this is not correct place for this question but I can't seem to fin it in the forums and this is about the only place the site will allow me to post as a new member. I have the original Samsung Galaxy Tab from Tmobile which is the SGH- T849 model and Tmobile simply does not release any software updates or firmware but i have seen many who have now figured out ICS on this first gen. in the forums I see all the other gsm variants get stuff but it is as if no one knows there is a Tmobile version. Can anyone direct me to how or where to get info on getting ics setup on mine? I am rooted but not unlocked, I would like to unlock if anyone has a link to how to do that also.Thanks in advance just bored of froyo on my Tab and on my Boost Evo4 G

Sorry about posting in wrong area...I read the Q&A but just read it again. I don't think I broke any rules as I can see. I did search forums using the site search box and nothing comes up on my topic which is why I asked. Did I do something else I was allowed to do or you just want to make sure I read the forum rules? Does anyone know if you need to find a baseband made specifically for your phone or if you can use any baseband that runs the MT6573 chipset?
I have a star b2000 phone but I cannot find anyone who has it or a baseband for it specifically. I barely get signal in downtown chicago.
I have found a baseband update for a different phone model that runs the same MT6573 chipset, so I am wondering if that can work? Its for an mmxA75.

I guess so, I have a x18i with MT6573 and I can't to connect with Iusacell 3G Network in Mexico. I tried change the baseband but not solved. I try to install the baseband switcher but APK dont work in my cellphone
