HTC amaze bumper case? - HTC Amaze 4G

Interested in having a bumper case, sort of like what the iphones have. Reason being, the amaze is super chunky in a case, and it takes away from the beauty . Anyone have any experience making one? I am thinking of maybe trying it with one of the rubber cases that I have.
Just cutting off the back part of it and leaving only the sides.

Is the plastic back removable or will I have to be a handy man and remove it myself

where are you located
ebay may be your best bet

In Toronto, Ontario. There's like 1 case available for the Amaze that I've seen and its the TPU kind

ha, try tmobile.com ?

Hahah ill find one to order no worries about that. Does it fit nice and snug? Does it cover that the area around the screen thats not lifted?
PS thanks so much for the help mike!

Have you thought about something like this?

Pretty much like the d30 problem is that shipping that to Canada will probably cost 3-4 times the case itself. I'll look on amazon.ca to see if they have anything else
Nope amazon.ca is useless as usual. Off to ebay!

T-mobile has two 30% off specials on accessories, I believe the D30 bump case is $25 or so before discount.

I got a D30 band earlier this week. It was discounted down to 14.99 because they no longer carry the Amaze in the store. Hope that helps.

EVO 3D Body Glove slim profile case

Anyone else have it? I just got once since I didn't like the bulkiness of my maximum protection otterbox and was wondering if it was worth the 3 dollars lol

Worth $30, no? Amazon or Google shopping should have for less.
I actually bought it and then promptly returned it at a sprint store cause I thought it was overpriced

Def worth it for $4! Sprint stores had it for $30. Great find!

Would you guys consider the bodyglove slimmer than the Amzer cases? http://www.amazon.com/Amzer-Luxe-Ar..._1_2?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1334277058&sr=1-2
I bought two cases
one for $3 from amazon
http://www.amazon.com/White-Rubberi..._11?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1334610692&sr=1-11
and the other one for $10 from Radioshack
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11791815&filterName=Brand&filterValue=HTC
I liked the latter one and am currently using it.
Don't buy the Body Glove slim profile case
Worst case I have ever purchased. The outside material feels nice but it is a very cheep casting. The edges are not smooth. when you hold the phone to your ear the edge of the case hurts your face and ear. It doesn't cover the top and bottom front edge. these edges will end up scratched up and the rest of the phone will be in good shape.
P.S. If you are willing to pay for the shipping you can have mine for free. My zip code is 93036. That's how much I don't like it.

Not sure if you were interested in bumpers or not but these are pretty slick. Expensive but great quality. No issues with reception for me though a couple people have posted in the international Note thread about small hits.
As far as I can tell should work with I717.

No, the fact the antennae was on the bottom of the phone where you normally held it was why they switched the design. And plastic was just cheaper and more durable than the soft metal they were originally using. The metal did not affect reception. I used to own it

Otterbox Defender for Galaxy Note Pictures

Alright ladies and gents...here it is: the Otterbox Defender for the Galaxy Note!
It's big, but it's sturdy. You can see from one of the pictures that besides the two larger snap-locks, there are 8 other smaller locks around the device. The rubber isn't super-grippy, but it has a good feel. You can also see that the entire front is covered with the built-in screen protector!
If anybody wants more pictures, just let me know!
Thanks 4 the pics...what website did u order from?
No worries!
I ordered it directly from OtterBox's website.

I pre-ordered mine when I got the email from them on 4 May saying that pre-orders have begun. I wasn't expecting anything to ship until the 16th, but I got the notification 2 days ago that my card was charged and that the case was shipping.
I guess I lucked out!
Otterbox has the defender case in stock. They just have not updated their website, 5 days later
do you work in their warehouse and know what their inventory is?
thanks
No and no. I just called customer service and talked to a couple of reps. They stated the defender has been in stock as early as May 5th but the webmaster is obviously not on his/her job. If i was sales director at otterbox, i would not be pleased.
Edit. I just checked otterbox's website and it has been updated to in stock now.
thanks man, maybe they have someone trolling this forum undercover!!

so, anyone who got this case already, how is the screen shield look? Otterbox has had issues with other phone models where the screen protector made an "oily" type residue on the phone screen...Plus, I have one of those expensive Moshi Screen protectors on the Note now, and it would be nice to leave it on there, since its absolutely smudge free, and crystal clear..
thanks!

Buy Belkin bumper case online?

I've seen mention of the bumper case in a few posts... is there anywhere to purchase it online? Or for that matter, anywhere to purchase it besides an AT&T store?
I haven't found it on Belkin's web site and the only other sites I've seen it on said it was "Out of Stock". I passed on buying it in the store because it was $35 and I know it isn't worth that much!
Online through att
the best phone ever
I agree it's not worth $35. I bought it at the at&t store the other day, and stopped using it today. The tiny amount of extra width it added to the phone was just too much for me. The OG feels much better in hand without a case. It is a little too slippery, though.

Inside Scoop! Otterbox Commuter Update

I work at an AT&T in Ohio and we're getting Otterbox Commuter Cases for the e970 very soon. They're in stock at our distribution center just waiting for them to come to stores!
EDIT: bad news, we got the cases and they are definitely for sprint and we were instructed to send them back. Someone's in trouble -_-
Sent from my LG-E970
Hopefully we'll see Defender cases as well. Thanks for the info!
Thank you for the update. Too bad I just ordered a diztronic but I'll buy an otter box when that one wears out.
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
So, has anyone actually seen this advertised or available in public yet?
After dealing with Otterbox customer service I'd much rather have a Diztronic  I'm sure this will make a few people happy tho, so I'm happy for them.
They've had Otterbox commuters in black AND pink for the Sprint variant for a looong time now.

Right, but considering the AT&T OG is larger than the Sprint version, meaning the cases won't fit each other, this is news.
Contacted otterbox and they said they have no plans to make such a case. So either otterbox or the op is full of it.

I contacted Otterbox before the Commuter for the OG was available to purchase, and the two CSRs that I talked to had no idea for which phone it's for (Sprint, AT&T, etc).

Yeah - Looking for decent cases for it has been an adventure, to say the least. Especially for folks like me who really need a good solid protective one.
Talkin tap from dis here brainy fone
Diztronic FTW! My friend is ditching the otterbox for her HTC One X for a Diztronic case after seeing mine on my LGOG
I'm liking the diz case but for those who need superior protection or line of work requires lots of movement I move a lot of furniture a otterrbox is ideal. I got the best buy warranty so really if the front irc back breaks I'm going to get it replaced but for those who didn't get the warranty an letterbox is the best bet.
