Yes. I installed sy pressure and it works on the Sprint S3 varient. I don't know that there is a built in application to leverage it. I also don't know anythign about syPressure, but it looks to be a nice application so far in my few minutes of playing with it and it has nice reviews.

Well...thanks! When I can get to connect to the market again which seems to have been down all day for me, I shall download that app
Great app but no way to calibrate it. I'm off by .6mmhg!
ive read the GPS software uses it to much more quickly get a more accurate fix on the device by having elevation info

You are correct. I think it's a pretty neat idea. The only other device that I know of that utilizes a barometer to corresponds with the GPS is the Samsung Galaxy Note.
Most GPS units (like tom tom, garmin) have a Barometer built in specifically for more accurate signal lock, but it is yet another sensor that is going to take up clock cycles and battery.
@jamesnmandy - what do you use it for?

Big deal if it takes up a small amount more battery and clock cycles as long as I have better GPS signal.
By the way I am very impressed with the GPS's reliability with this phone compared to previous phones. Well done Samsung.

Hello,
Few days before i got an anker 3500mah battery. I found it very impressive. just to see where it stands i just run antutu benchmark. it was started from 100% full charge to 15%.
it was running all the night.
just to check the accuracy, i tried it for another night. result was almost same.
It was quite good. cpu usage 100%, brightness full, wifi on, bluetooth on.
and I got 765 score. which was on second place after motorola zoom.
just see image.

Its just a brand new battery, hrd that after some recharge cycle it will enhance more.
may be after switching off wifi and bluetooth,we can get better score.
I need backup, as i travel a lot. This one, i found to be nice, good cheap replacement. although it makes phone bit bulky, but doesnt matter. back cover is good enough.
Ok..how about some real results like what the stock battery stats says? The graph will look like this

So... Is this battery good for the Evo 3D?
I got this from ebay in 19$, sure I will just try to get that stat. Till yet I have not tested it thoroughly, as my number is not yet ported. But in a day it will, I will full charge it, use it as heavily and let you know an legit review, worth a buying or not.

does this battery lose its power after some time?
does this battery work as a real 3500mah battery?
Would you mind getting Battery Monitor Widget (free) and running a Calibration and report your result? the method/instruction are posted in this thread

What kind of back cover did you get with the Anker?

If your not using your screen much which clearly your not then it is going to be something other than screen at the top, learn how percentages work.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Actually it IS a known issue and there are a few threads on it already.
How is this an issue? Like Lennyuk said, if you don't use your phone that much, then obviously standby would be the nr. 1. power drain.
Actually, both arguments could be correct...
Unless the stock software is extremely efficient, and makes the screen somehow super efficient, then it would be normal for standby to be that high. Another point to note, is are you complaining about battery life? or just the fact that a number on some statistics is high and you don't like it?
The counter argument to that is, if you look at mine on CM9, cell standby is a lot lower. Make of that what you want.

OK so long story short. Bought my s3 lastnight only to notice today my front sensors are off center. The camera, eye tracker and proximity sensor all work. But I'm guessing I'd be better off exchanging for a new one. Would u guys do the same? Just sucks cause this phone has been working better then my i9300. I'd hate to get a replacement that doesn't work as well

Hold on to it, AT&T is going to issue a firmware update to fix the offset
J/k but it all seriousness, If the offset of the lens has got you erred wait till you run LCD checker and observe the black screen in a dimly lit room, you're going to go apenuts.
Damn i'm sorry I just ruined it for you.
My friend loved his S3 till I told him about the LCD thing, now it's all he can think about even when he never finds himself in a situation to see the issue. Heheehhehehehe
Samsungs dirty little secret..............
Yeas exchange it. In my experience phones that have an issue on the outside are very likely to break later on in the future.
Thanks. Yeah I exchanged it. The guy at store couldn't see the problem but said he'd exchange it if it made me happy. It did

Okay so I work in a water restoration company and figured why not test the accuracy of the S4 with the tools we use in the field. Well with any thermohydrometer's they take a little time to get an accurate reading for a few reasons and depending on where it's stored. Our meters are stored in a water proof box and of course the phone is in your pocket. Both of which will affect the readings for the first 1-5 minutes.
Attached are the readings I got within 3 minutes of each other and they are very close to each other to consider the S4's readings to be very accurate. The readings were still getting closer to each other but they were slowing down. So I'd say it's safe to say you can trust the readings the only thing yo remember is that when you've got the phone in your pocket and not off the table you have to let it sit a little if it's been sitting then kick it on and the readings are already correct.
If you have any questions feel free to ask. No I didn't adjust any settings on my phone they were correct out of the box and leaving the screen on and heat from screen and battery didn't bother the readings at all. Holding your phone can if your hand is near the bottom near the sensor.

Hi all,
I'm about to purchase this beautiful phone, but as I'm not planning on any heavy mobile gaming ( believe it or not, I just like Asus, ROG, the audio setup and the form factor), I'm very interested in knowing how the battery life is with regular use.
No official review goes too much in depth on this matter.
How is the standby time, SOT, using it as a regular smartphone (mail, social, youtube, camera etc)?
Thanks a lot for your input!
This is the first phone I've ever owned where I get 2 full days. I lose 2 or 3% overnight. Overall, battery life is amazing.
You must have everything turned off. I am not even close to that on stand by ...
I came from a Pixel 2 XL. All my apps are the exact setting and the Pixel 2 XL has a smaller battery and it last longer the entire day then the ROG phone
With this phone I am having to find ways to get better life. pixel 2 XL didn't do any or that. On my pixel 2 XL I even have Always On and music ID turned on
ROG Phone owners will have to wait for custom kernels and maybe even custom ROMs because something is eating the 4000 mah battery of this phone like nothing. Many tests have proven a poor battery life, very poor considering the battery size.
Whatever it is ... It's in the system

Post the picture of the battery usage to zentalk forums too the staff there maybe can give the engineers something to go off of
Battery life is ok, Will last me about a day with normal usage and 8 with heavy ones. I got rid of FB and use metal instead. I use black theme in all The app offering it as well.
