Try polish blood
Sent from my Sony Xperia Neo using xda app-developers app

Polish Blood or FXP130 CM9

Try installing ice cream pureness by tillinaC. Or mooded Xperia S tv 2.3.7. Claimed to be rockstable.!!!
Sent from my MT11i using xda app-developers app

Defs try Polish Blood, it's the most stable and fast imo. But for stable and features, aokp is good.
Sent from my Sony Xperia Neo V using xda app-developers app

I'm using CM9RC2 + supercharge V6
it's fast, lager ram-free/internal storage and longer battery (already tried pureness ROM - it not smoother / and seem eat more battery but nice interface , it's based stock rom so it's more stable )

is it possible to install on Polish Blood something like quick settings in notification bar or AOKP notification stuff ?

Im using CM9 130 with Night Elf kernel for CM9 (128) and it works quite well, but ICS will never be as smooth as GB. maybe JB will be?

I run stock official ICS 4.0.4 supercharged, bloatware removed with my own hands, locked bl, its runs fast and fine but not so fast as GB but remember: we have a single 1Ghz core so further its okaaaay !!
The rumors was that ICS almost cant run on a single core, but they are wrong, look what we have now.
sent from my Xperia Neo V Supercharged ICS 4.0.4

I'm using Pureness from ThilinaC and love it.

ICS off course.
especially if u can cook ur own rom
Absolutely certainly %100 percent ICS 4.0.4
by installing custom roms
Not going back to gingerbread!!
definitely ICS 4.0.4 with custom rom. if ICS is a top model, GB is that fat ugly girl sitting at the back of the class
2.3.4 course

ics still has bugs and is slower for example the video camera recording occasions when these sets for a second freeze, bug notifications in the LED 2.3.4 is more stable .. for ever GB
i perfer gb over ics........gb more stable dan ics at current state...
bt will use ics once r gr8 devs make a perfect blazing fast ics rom.........
bt gb is oso not bad thu.....
Gingerbread is stable and battery friendly ! If you want an example, try the custom Rom codename 7 by emannxperia.
If you want some fancy stuff then go for ICS
Sent from my Turbocharged Neo V
Always GB SINCE ICS is still unstable..many bugs ,slow ui,worst camera, worst gamin experience, always wifi drops..still many ...

Neo v reverted to GB after ICS 4.04 and rocking using XDA premium
I'm on ICS 4.0.4 (krabappel2548's KA20.1) and it's really smooth and stable.
Kind of nothing the guy above says applies to 4.0.4.
UI is smooth, and so is gaming. No problems with wifi and the camera either.
u wl soon notice ics getting slow u wl need to restart.............
bt in gb it rarely happens..........

Nothing with stock ICS 4.0.4, Mine runs fine and its even supercharged
So go for ICS, and it will be better time will tell like by GB, and peeps dont complain on ICS what was GB in the beginning stadium them?
Think about it
Sent from my Neo V with Supercharged ICS 4.0.4
You asked GB or 4.0.4.... My choice no. 1,2 and 3 is GB. Why? because its much stable, smoother than 4.0.4. If in future there is some better ICS version which is stable and smooth as same as GB than i would go for ICS. But at moment not for 4.0.4.
---------- Post added at 07:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:27 PM ----------
Furthermore, GB is much lighter and consumes less memory as compared to current 4.0.4. But even if we have some stable ICS version, RAM still would be a issue.

I insist to go for jj hybrid rom with night elf kernel.... its almost as smooth as gb and everything work...no issue..its based on aosp and stock ics 4.0.4

ICS, no doubt
ICS definitely...i've reflashed GB few days ago,and after less than one hour i reverted back to ICS.It's true that it has a little lag and camera not working good in 720p,but overall it's much much better than GB.And about wi-fi drops,i don't have any. About RAM management, i always have about 140-150 free RAM,even with walkman opened (stock rom).Stock ICS+Xperia S ICS UI+Walkman=AWESOME SONY

vote android 4 lite

Which android 4 rom is lite and fast?
JJ's HYBRID ROM v3.2 ?
Xperia Ice Cream Pureness?
KA21.1 Ice Cream Sony?
MIUIv4?
Stock?
CM9?
SOS ROM v1.3?
AOSP ICS Polish Blood Project (MT11i)?
AOKP=OTHER
I want your opinion
You can write and why did vote that
e.g I vote ...... because it is (lite, fast and more)
Thanks
AOKP is good 4.0 ROM.
Xperia pureness because it's fast, beautiful and I have more ram on it

Ka21.1 - lite and super smooth.

Stock is actually quite good if you know how to tweak it. No multitouch issues whatsoever. Check my sig for the tweaking guide.
Pureness is so smooth and beauty....but need a fix to be more nice.
thanks for everybody who writes his opinions
Thanks
I would definitely go with the Polish Blood.

I have tried KA, AOKP, AOSP Polish Blood, Pureness, Miui and for me the fastest is Polish Blood. I am not using it mostly because of the wifi tethering which I do use very often.

Maybe that would be a good idea.
It happened same as with best rom/kernel thread. People vote for their preferences and at the end you have pretty much equal results. You asked for lite and fast, and you got all rom's equally good

Hi guys i cant understand why our neo v is slow in ics while other newcomers with low specs is having ics smooth as gb in our neo v. .. Cant we port their technique to get smoothen our neo v

The stock Sony ICS ROM is just ****ty. Try Polish Blood 4.0.4 It's based on AOSP and is overall incredibly smooth.

Not a good idea to just keep making new threads, and you haven't confirmed the last one yet
Also it's slow coz the phones old and Sony put huge Rom in it use a cm or kang a 100 meg Rom

For me,stock Sony rom doesn't look ****ty at all.I've tried almost all custom roms, and I've returned back to stock.I'm using Apex Launcher instead of Sony launcher and few apps from Xperia S including ported lockscreen and it's smooth almost like Polish Blood rom.I don't know how it behaves in games because i'm not using it for gaming, but overall it is very smooth. And i'm getting the best battery life with stock rom and Alliance Kernel v1.4

I'm not saying it's ****ty, the stock ROM is really beautiful. That's the only right thing Sony managed to do right with their ROM. Other than that there is a ****load of bloatware on it. And I very much doubt that you can have a LWP, a few apps running in the background on the phone and still have more than 100MB of free RAM. That's what amazes me about the Polish Blood ROM. But then again, different people, different preferences
Look at Samsung they have not given ics to any single core devices...
Yes Sony stock Rom had its share of bugs but the devs are trying to correct it and Sony themselves are updating our phone again for the 3rd time....
LG has still not given ics to optimus black and 2x and Sony has given it to entire 2011 series....
In that respect Sony is great....
Don´t know...i´m using JJ hybrid for quite some time now...but i think its time to try CM or another one..
I think ICS is actually smoother than GB, just hav some comp problems and sony fills the rom with bloatware.. but not even close as motorola do!
And tried JB alpha... still really unstable and buggy...but its blazing fast and the butter thing is true( just had to use force gpu rendering)
Sometimes lag of the homescreen depends on the amount of widgets you are using. Right now I am using stock with stock kernel, it is not as smooth as polish blood ics but all features like hdmi and wireless tethering works. For gamming I will choose polish blood ics.
I tried a xperia ray with latest update and feels smoother, we should be getting the same update soon.

Well the xperia pureness rom by Sand7 is pretty fast and
battery conserving. Most of the time I get around 170 to 180 MB of free ram.
Also if you are interested you can try the JB PACman rom by AllenHu. Only the youtube bug and accelerometer bug exist. And it is pretty fast and it also conserves the battery. And I mosty have around 190 MB of free ram always.

Serenity and Octane are the fastest ICS Roms at this moment. Both are battery efficient, depending on what kernel you using
They are also more or less bugfree.
This is battery life on Serenity, Octane has around the same. This is with kernelpanic 1.25, governor is ondemand, since I find smartassv2 laggy. Think you can get even a bit more battery life with Rage or Mess, but you lose on performance with those.

Rom for gaming preventing lag for, xperia u

I need a rom that prevent lag while gaming, any ideas?
Sent from my Sony Xperia U on android 4.0.4 ice cream sandwich using xda premium
are u in ics or GB ..???
If your Bootloader is unlocked, I advice you to flash a kernel with overclock function. Overclocking the CPU can prevent lags while gaming.
Munjeni's Kernel or Vengeance Kernel
I can't say which Rom is best for gaming.
Stock-based-Rom: In my opinion NoShi*t and TerraRom
But I think the less apps are on the phone, and the less of it run, the smoother is gaming.
Hope I helped

If you are not rooted then its probably best if you use GB rom, ICS is a little slow on xperia u without any tweaks or mods.
