hello everyone,
I'm having some troubles with the gallery as shown in the attached image.
I can't find how to disable that.. it messes everything up every time I am on wifi on my work network.
All photo syncs are already off in my gmail account settings.
I don't want to have the office pc there (it doesn't work anyway).. but if I don't turn wifi off it stays there and gallery doesnt show anything anymore.
I think rebooting the device will do.

yes.
I'm only trying to disable this "find nearby devices".
I cant find a way to stop/freeze the process.
Very simple to fix that, in gallery click left option button chose last option "view type" and choose divice only(middle option)

I know, I know.
I always do that.. problem is that everytime I close and re-open gallery it goes back to default (first option instead of middle).
I don't know why it doesn't stay on "device only". :crying:
Use QuickPic! It's free and allows you to select which folders you want to see.

I really hope this isnt a wide spread thing. I use Google talk heavily. I cant afford for it to disconnect upon my screen timing out. I havent used it since I activated my phone to test though.
Maybe check under the power saver option in settings. There is an option to turn off background data when the screen turns off. Maybe that's it?

I will try that setting out and report back

Just uncheck auto away status and it will stop logging out.

Is anyone else having an issue where google talk won't load for them? I touch the icon and it looks like it loads for a second then flashes back to the app drawer. I tried clearing the application data, didn't help, and of course I can't uninstall/reinstall

Yup, I have to restart the phone to get it working. I also notice that Restart does NOT restart the phone for me. It powers it down.

I had that prob. when i did hold it in my hand, so just dont touch it. It worked for me.
Remember if your new to this you have connection settings under "Wireless and Network"
Try to use Airdroid, it's on the Market.

Make your own. It's painfully easy if you follow the directions. Also, telling us what your setup was would be quite helpful.

Whenever I use the default camera on the I9300 I like to enable 'anti-shake' and change other things, when I exit the camera those settings will not be saved and I will have to re-do everything again - every time.
-Any Solutions?

Ah great that's solved it, thank you! :good:
Just got my 64 gb version from online order. Brand new, no rooting what so ever.
But the weather widget (on top of the blinkfeed) is not able to find location. Just says "current location".
Trying manually to refresh, it says "Unable to contact location services......" Kinda annoying.
Anyone else got this problem?
Try turning off wifi.
No no just reboot your phone silly

Did you give it time, though? I had the same thing happened, and it didn't connect until after about 30 minutes of wifi being off - both times after I set the phone up as new.

Yep I had Wi-Fi off for a long time, still would not connect.
Funny though, I downloaded the AccuWeather App and that gets a location in no time.

Tried gmap, was able to locate. But Weather Widget still can not.
Go to location settings and untick and retick all options. Then reboot. Should work
