I'm about to buy Att Galaxy S3, but I heard that they have just 6 languages there. May be somebody knows how to add more languages there. Should I root the phone? Any info is appreciated. Thank you.

Looking to buy a tablet here in the US and gifting to someone over in Asia. If i change the display language to Chinese and install a keyboard that can support Chinese, will that essentially be the same thing as buying one overseas?
Is there any functionality that would be loss by doing this such as the Android market?
