Hey all; I have found the camera gets confused with focusing in some instances (IE; bug on glass pane) where "Close up" and "Auto" won't focus on the object at any distance at all.
Is there some app that can control camera focus normally?
Thanks!
I'd like to know something for this as well. Macro shots are terrible on this camera.
Just so everyone knows, we're not looking for something with a digital zoom(Since that takes away a lot of quality).
I've tried the stock camera, camera zoom fx, and camera FV-5(This one runs terribly for some reason). FV-5 has a manual focus mode, but it doesn't work very well and is kind of annoying to me.
I think the best chance you really have for getting any decent macroshots is to use a reverse lens or a proper macro lens.

I can't zoom in or out with my X10 mini, can anyone do that?
Best regards.
No zoom function on the x10 mini. Try a program like vignette which has a workaround.
I need a camera app having "Antishake". The shutter on Mini is a bit quirky and makes my photos shake everytime when I press it to shoot the frame after auto focus locks on the frame. So I require a camera app which will help to reduce/remove the shake by exposing the frame by say - Touching - any part of the screen. I have used one or two Camera apps like snap photo camera 360 etc which does this antishake but none of them recognises the camera flash. Does vignette recognise camera flash and has this antishake feature too?
Or can anybody recommend a Camera App having this Anti-Shake feature whicch works with Mini cmera flash and other functions.
Thanks
Edit:
I tried the app "Vignette" and all the basic things work. As added feature we get digi zoom and steady shot which I have tried and found good. There are many more features and effects which are also worth trying. Good app for Mini.
Is there anyway to do this with our phone? I know there is a setting for it in the camera but it doesn't really create the blur effect of things in the background
Play with the camera because there are ways to make it focus on specific items and "ignore" the outside ones
Put a magnifying lens in front of the lens to permit closer focusing.
get a digital cam to take real photos, especially macro shots. What you are trying to do requires a more advanced camera (re: blurry background with focused foreground)

Click to collapse
Good point there - Even with a magnifying lens to focus more closely, the tinysensor in the phone's camera is going to result in very deep depth of field. Usually this is good for macro shooting where DOF is often razor thin, unless you're going for that "background out of focus" effect.
Hi!
I've been trying to create photos and videos about objects that are close to the camera, but the phone always focuses on the background.
Are there any way to get manual focus? (Set lenses manually) - maybe from another device/rom?
I know, there is a touch to focus in photo mode, can be usefull sometimes but not perfect.
If no chance to manual focus, how can I use the Touch To Focus option while video recording? - That can't be hardware limitation, as we can use it in photo mode.
Thanks.
I use single auto focus while shooting video, works quite well for me...
Greetings! So this is a tough one. I can usually fix these things myself. My LG G5 camera completely changed last week. I can no longer use manual mode on the rear camera, only the selfie camera has the option. When i click on mode while using the rear camera, the only options i have are snap movie, and auto. Manual mode is gone! Also, if i try to take picture with the volume button it gives an error saying "cannot take picture with volume buttons while CAM PLUS is connected." I am not using cam plus, i never have. Also, when in the options for the rear camera, there is no option above 8mp for picture quality. To top it off, I can't zoom either with the rear camera as it says "Zoom not supported for this mode". I mean seriously, wtf!?
I have tried 4 other camera apps, with no use. My pictures look grainy, and distorted most of the time. My s2 takes better pictures. I have messed with almost every setting in the options with no solution. I am praying that someone has a solution! I am on vacation and I am missing many great pictures. Thank you in advance!
Hi guys....
Beside the fact that we lost aux access to third party cameras...
I discovered other issue that is more disturbing...
The issue is happening when you focus on distant scenes (landscapes, city scapes etc, anything more then 30m). You can get the perfect focus only if you let the camera in auto, if u try to manual focus or focus lock, focus is not the same anymore no matter what i do...
So that makes the camera unusable in manual focus or in focus lock modes :/
It's the same for me.
Last version stock camera 3.2.100_64
this is the best and worse device in the same time :/
Good hardware, crappy software
