Flash clockwork mod then cwm over it. That way you can use rom manager. Works great not really sure why but it does.

It's nice but it doesn't stick after reboot. You have to wait until devs include it to their kernels

Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849028 and use update.zip method to get root. Method A is if you plan to stay on that ROM and method B will give you clockwork recovery, allowing you to flash a custom ROM that is pre-rooted.

Hi, I think going back to stock and pushing the update zip into internal SD will solve the issue

If you can backup your internal SD then wipe it then put nothing on it. Redownload the update.zip again (the name for the file should just be update. Your phone knows its a zip file that's where the .zip comes from) and then try it. Don't download the .zip from your phone do it o. Your computer then drag to your phones I sternal SD card
