I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I agree.
With this type of bulls... going on, I'll never buy any of their products again. They've actually gotten worse over the last few years in multiple ways - the patent wars are just one aspect. They've been alienating long time users by dumbing down not only their computer OS, but other products. In the past you could get several years additional use out of a their products vs competitors, but now they're making them un-upgradeable.
It even goes beyond the militant behaviour like this with the Galaxy Nexus, even to the point of being totally petty. I tried selling a Asus Netbook with their OS installed on eBay, just to see if the police stories were true - they had the listing removed in less than 24 hours. :angel:
They're making MS look cool.

Apple is doing it because they know that in the long run they will be outdone by both the Android software and hardware, in my opinion that has already happened but they know that eventually all the Apple fan boys and girls will realize this and jump ship so rather than stay ahead of the curve they avoid the curve all together by playing these games.

They use to have a some good business strategies and were a respectable company. Now they have resorted to hide behind laws instead of operating out in the open. Plus why sue Samsung or even get them involved? Don't they make Apple's processors? Sounds like Apple bought Lucy Koh. Apple should be sued for not being innovative and for being a bad sport. So they might be losing in the mobile races, wow big shocker with the same phone being released year after year, but home computers are still way to stay in the game. I for one think this move will result in negative PR for Apple and hurt sales in the long run. A company can't operate like cowards and no one notice.

I make fun of customers when they hand me their iPhone. I usually have my not sitting on the desk and I just say "what is this tiny thing" and look at the iPhone strangely. Some are amused and some seem annoyed.

I owned a 3g and ip4 for a good 2+ years....so was very used to it.
HOWEVER, I laughed at myself today...at BestBuy I saw a display for a Blood Pressure arm band attached to a small, dinky looking device.
After staring at the device, i paused, laughed almost out loud and realized it was an iPhone...I had to do a double take just to make sure...it seemed so miniature.

Me and there of my friends at work have a friendly phone war going on. Two have Androids and the other two have iPhones. We're always trying to "out feature" each other. They had to admit that they both were thinking of switching to Android when we finished with them.

I have a friend that bashes Android all the time but he has an htc rezound. Anytime something happens to his phone he says if he had an iphone he wouldn't have that problem.
On the other hand, every time i whip out my note there is the occasional...gd, wtf, holy sh#t, and other comments that make me smile

I do same thing,am like what's this small thing you got leaving my Note on desk in a way they look.
And I show Note,everyone feels a shame of their iPhone and accept Note is best, but only few admit by tongue, and some show other way frustration.

I understand defending your business, and I'm not against litigation by any stretch, but the calls for Google to "destroy" Apple is what I was talking about.
But apply that to Apple as well. Don't you see them as defending their business? So how is what they are doing "evil"? I just don't understand the Apple hatred. This is business as usual, it's just getting press this time.

I got an iPad, and my mom calls me a traitor lol. I did it cuz I had hundreds of songs and apps built up over the years and no device to use them. But if it weren't for the beautiful screen and very nice camera and mic, I wouldn't have bought it

Apple doesn't have the balls to go against the likes of Google because they know Google has has just as many patents and the money to take them head on. Plus those letters will be ignored by retailers due to the fact that the judge lifted the injunction.
Apple attacks Samsung for publicity and the fact that they are their biggest competition, it's funny that both companies never come to an agreement and both keep growing rapidly, kinda makes you think it's a business agreement between the two, even more due to the factor that HTC is Samsung's greatest rival Android wise and Apple always get's their **** banned faster.
Though Apple never approaches monster companies like Google, Sony, etc.

Yep I meant phone, dang stupid auto correct exactly, ipad is good product, but ui is bad, customization is horrendously limited, why do you think all I phone users have same ring tone? They don't know how to change it

Even I don't know how to change the stupid ringtone other than the crappy basic ringtones they have. :-\

Theres a word for people that hate either Apple or Android and they're called fanboys and they are highly retarded considering Apple and Microsoft work hand in hand together they sell each others products so quit *****in they both make quality products no matter what you want to say it's the truth Jesus Christ.
And by the way I've worked for both companies. I did network administration for apples central headquarters here in Austin Texas, and network engineering for Microsoft when I was going to school in Seattle, so I think I know a little about what I'm saying here. Let the flaming begin because it's inevitable

Mhm no flame really, the reason I dislike and might hate apple is because they virtually haven't changed the os, only added minor features that android has had already and cuz apple and their stupid patent bs :thumbdown:

No flaming from me either. Although if your statements are directed at anyone in particular I think you've got some anger involved. But I think you're just making the general statement. I don't like apple because, (while ignorance is bliss) I feel they prey on the less tech savvy their product mark up is ridiculous and they are in my opinion deceitful with their customers, who aren't as tech savvy subtly convincing them that (as am example) they must buy the $50 apple brand fm transmitter rather than the $5 non-apple one that does the same thing. And similar such stuff, now... Do I think that Microsoft is righteous and upright in their business practices... Probably not but I do know I bought a $300 Intel Core 2 duo laptop last year that would have cost upwards of $1200 if it had an apple logo on it and was running... Snow Leopard or wtf the current mac os is.
