Re: [ROM] unofficial CM9 by jokersax 6/28/2012
I know its probably already been answered in this thread but I'm new, how do I stop the internet program from crashing when I turn it to landscape position and does the video recording work?

Wait for official ics drivers for both. It has been discussed NUMEROUS times on jokers thread, reading would have given you your answer. Not trying to be nasty, but so many people ask the same thing and have gotten the same answer. Read and wait.

Anybody know if someone is actively working on CM7 for the thunderbolt?
I don't think so. They are working on CM9. I wish they would update it. But they won't.

Slayher was, but I think he just got a galaxy nexus so i'm not sure if he still is.

I think ProTekk has switched to another phone also... His repo doesn't have a successful build currently (He said he's in the process of fixing it). I tried messaging him on facebook but I haven't received a reply yet.
Active on CM9?
I've heard it mentioned that CM9 will be supported and that active dev. is ongoing right now, but I can't find anything official about that. Anyone have a link?
Workshed posted an updated version of CM7 on Rootzwiki a couple days ago. If you remember him from the Droid Eris, he great at keeping his roms updated.

I just wanted to know if the MMS and mobile data work on this yet. It does not appear to have updated notes. I wanted to know before I flash this. Since I am new to these forums I do not have the 10 posts needed to post in that specific thread.
No data on any ics for tbolt, probably not till a leak drops

Hey.
I'm sorry for posting this here but I swear I searched the forum for something that would clarify my issue but without any success.
Now, yesterday was released this CM9 RC1 ROM. This is some sort of stable release for those nightlies (like the milestone version for AOKP roms?)?
Is there any topic opened regarding this new CM release?
Thanks in advance,
Mihai

Is the OG Atrix ever going to get an official CM9 release candidate or nightly? I've noticed the CM Team has released RC1 for many phones, and the Atrix was not on the list. I just want to know if I will ever get my hands on an official CM9 build instead of having to use a port. Thanks for the help.
Theres gonna be fire. Get a glass of water.....
Pardon? I did not ask for an ETA. I simply asked if we were ever going to get it.

The Atrix will likely not get an official CM9 build until/unless ICS for the Atrix (containing the necessary binary drivers, which are proprietary) is released. The unofficial ports have to make do without them, cannibalizing code and parts from other phones in order to make it work, which is why they still have stability issues (though they do work most of the time). When ICS is released (yes, I said when; unlike others, I have faith that it will be), we'll likely see a flurry of CM9 development from the Atrix Dev Team.
OK cool. I've read that it's gonna be Q3. Which is sometime between now and September, correct?

Most likely September or November
cm9 update
I recently flashed my first rom with cm9 6.0.9.1. I am very pleased with the look, feel and functionality of this ROM. Congrats to jokersax and all who had a hand in this. As I am new at this I have one question. If I try to upgrade to 0.7.0.0 will I need to wipe or can I just flash it. I installed the gapps separately and did not wipe and it worked fine. I do remember reading somewhere during my search for knowledge on this subject that for small updates you don't need to wipe. Not sure how reliable tha info is. Just want to make sure before I end up with a paper weight.
Next Tuesday

I'd recommend you do a general search of the Atrix XDA Forum section about "Tuesday" and you will get your answer.
Funny....
edit:I meant "favours" obviously
Hi there,
I was playing lately with different ICS buids for GTab10.1 WiFi and got a question - are the builds available at get.cm and droidbasement.com/db_blog/ the same thing or not? It's easy to see differences between Kang and CM9, but I can't see nothing material in this case. I know pershoot is involved in CM9, but I'm not entirely sure if those builds are identical, or he's doing a side-job on his blog
Don't want to ask him personally, 'cos I'd rather he took care of porting JB over, as I saw AOKP source was just published!
Thanks in advance
Pershot's stuff goes into cm9 when he is ready... beta/preview test builds sometimes are on his blog but ....
His changelog is https://github.com/pershoot/
But cm9 and pershots are the same, I have seen him not be able to help people on kang, always the first question is "are you on cm9?"
