IMO, every rom developed here in XDA are amazing. It is for the user to decide according to his descretion what would best fit to his needs and taste.
Check development thread and try a rom you think that is right for you.
you'l get a variety of people all loving another rom like this
and ill start !
i enjoys feralabs roms i tried it with thkernel and testing doomkernel now.
if you can give more info on what you do with your phone would help in making choices.
music,games,whatnot
but the best way is just to test em tbh.
I'm on mokee OS by x10fevers. I think this is my last Rom I flash. I'm loving it.

Agree totally with @BordenG give the different flavors a try (miui, cm aokp etc) and find your personal favorite. One mans palace is another mans tent so to speak.

Since Joining this community and a self admitted noob. I am in NO WAY a developer of any kind. Just someone, who because of xda learned to root and flash and enjoy the power you folks have allowed me to unleash on an otherwise introductory android phone that is the optimus T. Here is my dilema. All you Devs have created such amazing Roms, I can't make up my mind on which one to use for my everyday!! I am looking for a fast powerful Rom. I have alot of Apps (not games, more like productivity apps) can the more expierenced family members make some suggestions on what would be the best choice for my daily use Rom. Thank-you XDA!!!!

You could try miks cm7 and custumize it yourself
or you could use a theme Rom that is outstanding in the Theme section.
Hope you can find a ROM that suits you

Hmm...i can only think of CyanogenMod 7.
If you are willing to wait, the excellent Oxygen rom or Andy's Phoenix rom has some bugs but will be ironed out soon.
I am totally willing to wait. The work these guys do is such an art form dude. And just like painting a picture or jamming a song they share it with the fans. ITS GREAT. So you think I should run with the current stable version of miks cm7 for right now?

@Sorry2U Thanks for the advice.
On an unrelated note. Being 27 years of age and a child of the 80s. I am a HUGE fan of the Trannsformers. Love all the films and I thought you might appreciate the fact that I have tattoos of both autobot and decepticons on both shoulders with "good" and "evil" underneath there symbol. Its my favorite representation of the eternal battle between good and evil.
Cheers xda!

Ok brotherrs and sisters. I'm running miks cm7. What's the best way to go as far as the overclock and my govener setting? IV been going with 748/320 set at smartassV2 it seems to be serving me well, but again......in the big picture..what do I know? Anyone have any tips??
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Get yourself fserves goldenleaf kernel or francos modified kernel..its an excellent combo wit miks cm7!
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
put min freq. to 480 mhz and max to 729 mhz
don't usse any other apk to overclock use cyan default one
and if you want to use another apk than this then no frill will be great
but don't use setcpu coz it runs like service
I have the optimus t as well use miks CM7 it is the fastest and most customizable ROM out there
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA Premium App running CM7 over clocked at 806
I have used miks cm7 and I'm currently using Andy's Phoenix rom and from my experience with the two, I have to say that Andy's rom is by far a lot faster than miks cm7

I'm just waiting for new release - i need a more polished rom. Last bugfix quite disappointed me hehe.
thank you for the advice the two major choices seem to be cm7 and pheonix....it'll just have to be personal preference from then on! Thanks so much!

brothers and sisters. I'm sticking with CM7 for my every day rom. Goldenleaf kernal. 749/480 INTERactiveX. I have a great battery life, and multitasking is smooth as a jazz club in NYC. And for my hanging around the house on a weekend Rom IV gone with Void #Froyo Final. Latest Franco Kernal. Same OC as my CM7. And I opted with the Froyo Rom. Because of the terrible cell signal where I live, so Tmobiles life saving wifi calling App which doesn't work on 2.3.X Roms, is a must! thank you to ALL in this family for the suggestions thank you more to all who create these wonderful pieces of art and share them with there fans. CHEERS XDA!!!

I'm not a fan of these forums and I have tried many MiUI roms but have been hit and miss. I mean tried WIUI and had great results... Flashed another MiUI rom.. Wasn't happy but when I flashed back to WIUI I had a bunch of lag. Both with siyhia kernel. So... What's your opinion? Thanks for the references.
Looking for speed and stability. Doesn't have to be latest release just stable and least amount of bugs. Thanks again.

Try sheps in the dev section
Its not a hell raised from so I would think it would be more stable..

Will do. And I meant "not a fan of these THREADs".... The what rom is best threads.. Just had mixed results. Thanks again for the advice

I've not had the greatest luck with hellraised MIUI ROMS. That said, shep does good work and I've had a good experience with his version. I'm an addict, though, so I can't stay on one ROM for more than a few days.
Good luck.
-cheap
I've been using the version from Shep's threads for months now, very very stable and with Siyah it's even better. I get great battery life and really can't complain.
I've tried a few other roms, I remember when the I777 came out, there were about 5 roms everyone was using. I tried all of them and always came back to MIUI.
Well, I don´t like best rom threads since they are redundant. What is best for you cannot be best for me . Try them.
On that note, thread closed.
which is the best custom ROM for x10????
I think MIUI 2.3.2 and ThGo Rom v7 are so good..

Oh I just realized this is for the X10. Disregard my last post. Sorry!
For me is X10x EWjet the best. Very fast and stable.

There isnt a best rom. There are several very good roms and it can depend on what you want to do with it[is the one you go for].
The one I use is Feravolts v10.3 and I have trimmed it down.He has 3 newer versions(and I think a 4th on the way lol) that you could look into installing.
More importantly is them rom threads take ages to read about problems and fixing them,so be aware of that.......

FXP Cyanogen 7.2 is probably the most reliable rom out there imo. Feralab is a very popular stock-like rom, it comes down to preference

I've tried all ics roms but decided to go back to gb for the time being. Ics roms are nice but I encountered to many fc. I'm currently on the unofficial and so far I very happy. Everything is very smooth. If you decide to use the rom, please make a little donation toward a great cause.

Several No.......but there are some. i get Zero Fc's. only real bug that i see is that i can not add a contact via my phone i have to do through a browser(which i can still do through my phone)
other than that, the UI is a big jump from GB to me. give them a try. the MOST IMPORTANT thing when flashing ICS is to make sure and "WIPE CORRECTLY"
There is no best ROM, only what's best FOR YOU. And no one can tell you what that is.
Try them and decide which you prefer.

Hi, I was wondering my P500 is getting quite old now, and all this flashing of ROMs has been great but I want to come down to one final decision on the ROM I will use for the rest of my phone's future without changing. I'm looking for a ROM which is fast and snappy, has a conservative battery life, doesn't crash and keep rebooting, looks great and is ICS or JB. That's pretty much all, thank you.

Roms by neko
You can go for gingerbread roms made by neko.
Gingersnap v2.3 or GTR
both are fast and provide better battery life.
I will recommend you Gingersnap v2.3
Press thanks if I help you:angel:
It's hard to say, and you are not allowed to ask, but I can tell you my choice:
CM 9.2.2 with my signature's settings ;D
If you don't mind having bad photos of course.
Stop asking such questions ..try your self
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Maybe Oxygen GB
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
I'll tell you my personal choice.
ICY Snap final.. Stable and almost no bugs.. And smooth. I find myself going back to that ROM again and again after trying other ROMs.
JB 4.1.2 works great, so go get it and have fun with it.
Easily findable from Cyanogen, built 20130108 coming w arjen 2.6.35.10
Further get slim gapps version, et voilà, be happy.
