I am using sony tablet s Chinese version..
Since I bought it till now, I can not use GPS on my tablet..
For example, if I used Google maps and click on GPS icon, it says wait and then replay with "Your Current location is unavailable temporarily"
at the same time, I used GSIII and it works fine ..
anybody knows how to fix this issue?
i think it is an issue with the tablet, since it is chinese?

It has a google map but I can NOT use gps on it ..
I downloaded other GPS apps but all were the same .. GPS not working ..
I did try it on HC 3.2 and I rooted the device, upgrade it to 4 ICS but still the same issue..

My tablet s is made in China if it is what you mean by Chinese tablet!

I do not know if it is available for Chinese tablets, but I use GPS Status & Toolbox.
just test with my china s1
google map can't get gps info
baidu map works well
gps teste show gps ok
use all in one tweak gps setting,not work
I think Google Map is blocked by the Chinese government, just like Facbook which is not accessible when you are in China.

I am living in Bangladesh where GTA 10.1 is not officially launched yet. So i am going to have one this august. I heard GTA 10.1 restricts android market and applications download from it outside USA and other approved country. Surely BANGLADESH is in restricted area.
SO how can i get rid of this restriction? Plz Help.

here is how i got it done
I used a free us vpn for the first time i accessed the market
also you need to disable anything that may lead to your location
whether gps or by wifi

I'm wondering if there is a good application for my droid that will use the GPS to get me around with a preloaded map database so that it doesn't rely on me having a data connection.
Edit: did some research, looks like osmand and mapdroyd are the best choices. Any user opinions on which is better and why?

Google maps works well for a *basic* map,newer versions can cache the map.

Are you using the Android Market app to try and download google maps? If so try accessing the android market from your phone's built in web browser instead. Download google maps from your browser onto your SD card and install it manually.

Is offline voice recognition available on the truesmart? im not always on the internet so voice typing doesnt work keeps saying google servers cant be reached since the device is offline. Tried going to the google settings to allow for offline recognition but its not an option like it usually is on other devices. found one thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2549644 but not sure if it will work on this device.
Tried searching forum couldnt find anything specific to the truesmart and offline detection.

Same with any android at the minute, you need to set the ts language to English (US).
Dont you just download the voice packs for google seach app, they're like 20mb each??
I couldn't get them to download it's missing from Google search settings

its already set to english us still doesnt work if im offline.
Just flashed Kuronosan' rom last night and reinstalled everything and it's still working ok here, you've downloaded the us offline language pack? One thing I did have to do before being able to make a call with Google voice is agree to Google now, just tick the box and it started working.

I am running nexus 5 with lollipop, all up to date. When I have locations enable my google now just has a "more" button and when i click on it, it goes to " not available ". I have been using this since it came out over a year ago with no problems. When location is turn off all my cards work fine, except location based cards .Has any one seen this? I have made sure everything is up to day. my language is english Canada.

I know some Canadians have had similar troubles in the past with Google Now try switching your language form English Canada to English USA. As this has allowed most people to get Google Now to work as expected.

My seller say, there ist only Mandarin, english and french.

German would be awesome for me personally, but can also live with English. But in my case it would be more pleasant with german.

What is probably no longer possible to freeze or uninstall the launcher

Edit: But that doesn't change everything into the desired language by far. Or am I wrong?
i have the phone since few days there is no german i think. Anyway phone is amazing but i think since its chinese phones most apps we used as all locked to 60hz.. Is there an adb to force 120hz?

You can activate the frame rate display in the developer settings. Have you checked that out yet?

I'm asking to force 120hz. If u turn on frame rate display on it shows 120hz even on front display Lol!
