I downloaded some apps to optimize free ram, but was just wondering what the best way was to always have the ram free?
free ram ist wastet ram.. because its better to have full Ram as you have full CPU usage to open apps (if they are not prebootet)
and if you got no root access, you cant clear out the Ram for long time because of autorecievers from the app, and Auto Task Killer just kill the juice of Battery..
full Ram is good Ram

i just wanted to get some opinions, i read all the post in XDA about Ram manager and it seems to me that ram manager pro is a great app, what i want to know is
whats the difference from Autokiller memory optimizer vs Ram manager pro?
Does Ram manager pro and Autokiller memory optimizer really helps or makes more damage to the phone?
if they both are good which one would you recommend more and why?
Thank you
depending on your ROM I would suggest neither, most ROMs for the evo3D include tweaks to the minfree settings for memory, cache pressure, writeback, nice load, up threshhold, etc.
[Q] Why the OS uses so much RAM (Not the cache)?
I know android is caching many apps in RAM for performance, but the actual size of the cache is quite small (less than 200 MB with some apps active). I also know that 200 MB are used for kernel and stuff like that ( for example, the user have 800 MB not 1 GB) but where is used the other RAM. In the first screen shot you can see a red highlight - gor what is that RAM used if not for apps or cache? Aren't the 200 MB unavailable RAM enough? (see the second screen shot).
And why simple apps like opera browser use so much resources? Most android apps use as much resources as desktop counterparts but have very crippled functionality (firefox for android use as much RAM but it doesn't have as many features). On dumb phone ( nokia s40) opera mini would run fine with just 2 MB RAM - not 200 (seriously) and render pages as fast as the sgs3 (but with a cpu with less than 400 MHz and outdated architecture) and surpringly similar features and UI (not crippled even more). Symbian (for example) apps didn't used so much resources but had mostly the same features.
And sorry for the long post!
Hi people. First I am sorry for my bad English. I using zram on my Sony Xperia Sola 4.0.4 on Speedy Sola kernel. No more ram, No swap, No lag, No no!
It is all phone is working.
My config.
*Zram supported kernel (Ram management is must good)
-You create 256 mb zram.
-It is example for 512 mb devices.
*Fmr memory cleaner
*Greenify (You hibernate the system apps. Google Play, Browser, YouTube, Timescape etc.. )
-Choose the app that consumes a lot of ram.
*Swappiness (vm.swappiness=10)
*You tweak the memory (The LMK system)
You use System Control Pro -> Memory -> Presets -> Mild and Confirm.
*You choose good combination of governor + scheduler
And reboot the phone.
Phone was booting and wait 1 minute.
Go FMR Memory cleaner and clean.
Swappiness setting up on manual. (You use the System Control Pro on Google Play)
You hibernate the all running apps.
And finish configurate. Your phone is best multitasking.
Warning
I'AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR A BRICKED DEVICE
You must to be clean your ram on hard using.
Your battery time may be shortened!!!
Code:
If
your ram < 1gb
[COLOR="red"]your phone ram [/COLOR]/ 2 = your zram
end if
If
your ram > 1gb
your zram 0 - 512 mb
end if
If you have a lot of lag, you change the swappiness setting. If you want to no lag, you clean your ram always. You try different combinations and set the stable config of your phone.
I will record video for how to working the multitasking.
What are some good low memory 4.x phone apps for doing the following?
-Weather (with small widget)....I really like 1weather but it takes up ram. Would prefer if it has news included
-texting app like text free but with less ram usage
-batter optimizer/task killer app
Sad that this post did not get any comments. With the Smart Watch trend now, and most having at best 512MB ram, I would love some list like this. :/
Hi there,
i have a Oppo Find7s, which is a 3GB RAM device, and i'm on a Marshmallow ROM. Unfortunately Marshmallow RAM management is aggressive.
So many apps are reloaded again if the are accessed. Also there is always around 800MB free RAM. I thought on Android(Linux) free RAM is bad Ram:
I played around with predefinded LMK values (Kernel auditor) but i'm not very satisfied with the result.
Does anyone have good LMK values for a 3 GB RAM device. I think the LMK values have to be manually adjusted.
Thanks .....
