I am doing the gold card to get my spl to 2.5 and i get past usb-host mode and get to a Loading. . . screen and it has been taking like 30 minutes is something wrong? I set up the gold card exactly like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597837&highlight=loading&page=1
So to sum it all up it stays at a loading screen. everything is being read. what do i do?

hello All
I had a xda 1 that was showing the picture of just t.Modile when it was turned on. Well thats what I was told on ebay. Anyway I got the unit thinking i would be able to try the rom thing and update it ok. Anyway when it came the bat was flat. So today a cradle and charger came. I pluged in the xda and then the charger and it came on straight away ( dont know if it should do this) any way it came onto the t mobile screen like i was told. So thought i would leave it till it was charged. I was doing other work when i heard it ping. I looked at it and it said welcom to windows 2003 which i thought great. went through the setup and it all seems working. I tried to switch it off in the cradle but it would not let me It this correct? Anyway I took it from the cradle and switched it off and tried to switch it back on but it would not come on. So i put it back in the cradle and it switched straight on. No waiting for the set up screen again.
Firstly should it switch on as soon as you put it on the cradle and should you be able to switch it of whilst in the cradle. Also does the problem i have described above point to the battery being buggerd?
Many thanks And any help much appreciated
regards Andy
Most likely the battery is dead. Had the same problem. I have bought a new 1700mAh battery for my XDA 1 at eBay, price incl. shipping €20,- Works like a charm again.
Hello
Riight a bit more information on the XDA1 I Have I have took it apart and tested the battery it only reads 3.4 volts I take it that the correct voltage is 3.7 volts so i would say its the battery.
Another problem i have knoticed is when i put it in the cradle from dead and it starts up it stops on the t mobile screen for a while (about 10 mins) before going to the main 2003 screen and while it is in this screen i cannot do nothing at all with it (Buttons or stylus), Is this correct. any help would be great thanks.
One last question the unit is a O2 unit and i think it hase been flashed to give it w2003 op sys Now how would i keep this operating system but get it back on O2 thanks in advance,
regards Andy
Doesn't sound right to me. Boot after warm reset of my 3.5 years old XDA I takes 5 secs max, no more. Boot after a cold reset also takes just a few secs, before I see the O2 bubbles boot screen.
You could try the "latest" PPC 2002, to see if the device is still that slow at boot time.
What I am thinking is this is under mains power only not batery is this the reason its actingh like this? the main battery is only 3,4 volts does this point to a failed battery?
regs Andy
Is any GSM error displayed on screen??
Hello
No only thing is when i try to load the phone program it says only emergency calls without pin?
Thanks Andy
Was judt thinking about using the special rom but not sure how to eiter via the cradle into the xda or onto the sd card then see what happens? way out of my leauge at the moment you read that meny conflicting items I dont think i can get it into bootloader because of the batt fault in that if i take it off cradle and switch it off it wont come back on till its pluged back on the cradle LOL so im lost I think i will have to get a batt first. What voltage is your reading pls and do you think a batt at 3.4 is knakerd thanks again ( me rambling on and on sorry)
re XDA
One thing i have just seen when looking throug the hardware items it gives the rom version and rom date but it is blank at radio version and protacol version. Should these be blank
Also there is no imei number shown in the Identity all it shows in there is H/W Pw10B1 and platfprm PocketPC.
Thats about it
thanks andy
Looks like you need to flash a new ROM; http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Wallaby
Re the above XDA
Hi Again Firstly can anyone confirm that a battery is dead when it only reads 3.4 volts after hours in the charging cradle? Before I get a new one
Secondley if it is dead I asume that i will have to get a replacment one if i am to flash the rom correct? ( it cannot be done on mains power alone due to the need to remove from the cradle for a soft reset? CAN IT?)
Next I have a SD card 512 and also a external SD card reader/writer (usb) how is the best way to go about flashing it afterwards? Do i write a the rom to the sd card via the external reader/writer and then insert into xda? and do the soft reset thing?
What would be the best and most stable rom to go for pls. Or should i use the site with the cooking roms on.
The XDA is a O2 but shows T-Mobile on start up ( would like it back to original if poss)
The UNIT is a pw10a (stamped on the back) but if it shows in the h/w as pw10b when the unit is switched on? and as said does not show a wireless version or a emei num although it is stamped on the XDA/
Any Help much appreciated . I just seem to be getting my head in a right knot with this one.
Many Thanks
Andy
Hi all, 1st off, this forum is amazing. Please provide your input.
My device: HTC HD2 from Tmobile STOCK, out of the box, no mod has been done.
Problem: frozen at "stick together" screen for unknown time
Situation: the phone was used for 2-3 weeks, then sat in the box for approx 6 month.
Attempts: during all my attempts i didn't have the SIM CARD installed.
1/i tired to do factory reset, the 1234 then pressed yes -> frozen at sticktogether screen. took out the battery. then
2/Called Tmobile help support, we did hard reset by holding the volup and voldown plus power button, after I got to the animated screen.....stuck at "stick together"
3/Tmobile tech told me to take out the battery again, take out the micro sd card, and start the phone normally ....guess what ? stuck at stick together screen !!!! at this point, i was like **** should have not given away my iphone4
4/ while being stuck, the tech guy told me to use a pinpoint pen to activate the little yellow button next to microsd card, the device kinda turn off, then again ...stick together appeared. I thought to myself, i should have stuck with my Iphone4.
turning point: So, anyway, took out the battery, then turn on the phone normally, of course stuck at stick together...then let it sit for about > 3 hrs while watching "RED" from redbox...haha i came back, the phone logged in , kinda like the fresh start from out-of-the-box setting. I went through the initial tutorial, and all that good stuff. Seem to be functional. I turned the phone off, then do the vol down, and power button to check SPL version, mine is 2.4.1000000 or sumthing like. then it stuck at the tri color screen. took out the battery, then started the phone ...GUESS what ? stuck at stick together again.....I feel miserable.
I have two option,
1/ is to send the device back to tmobile and have them replace it.
2/ writing this thread and hopefully someone knows what's going on !!!
So I haven't used or charged my NT for about a month. I figured the battery would be dead so I plugged it in to charge. After about 2 minutes it turned itself on and it just sits on the "n" screen with "Contains Reader Mbile technology by Adobe Systems Incorporated" at the bottom. I powered it off and turned it back on and I got the "battery too low" message. I turned it off again to let it charge some more and yet again it turns itself on and gets stuck on the "n" screen.
After playing with it for a bit I was able to get it to stay off for about an hour and get a little bit of a charge, but I still get stuck on the "n" screen when I power it on.
Anyone know what is going on??
I am rooted if that matters or gives me some options......
Thanks in advance!!
EDIT: I just tried taking my SD card out to see what would happen, and it booted right up! Bad SD card?? It was working fine before and like I said it hasn't been touched for a month.
I'm sure there are free SD Card test programs, but then why just not re-make the card ? Run SDFORMATTER first.
https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/
and if you're a test'aholic ( like I am ) run ChrystalDiskMark ( 4k random )
Just purchased a brand new Mann Zug 3 rugged phone.
It might be rugged outside buy it's pretty darn fragile when you try to actually use it.
When I first powered it, it booted fine. No problems.
Then I inserted the sim card and a used sd card from my old phone.
Ever since then my phone won't boot. and it's in a loop.
I even got it into fastboot mode but then my windows7 pc couldn't recognize it even though I believe I've installed proper drivers.
Now I can't remember which combination of keys gets me into fastboot once more and the only thing I can get it to do is either
a) bootloop
b) get it to inform me in red lettering that it can't load a specific file
c) get a neon green Chinese word on the screen. It looks a bit like the neon green used for the word fastboot but who knows
d) get it to go into some weird mode that's a blank black screen with a white dot. And ever time I reboot into the same mode, the dot moves to a different location on the screen and just sits there
I'm guessing my new phone might have tried to flash the image in the sd and since that came from another phone it caused trouble but that just my gut feeling.
So does anyone have any sort of suggestion as to what might be happening and how to resolve it?
Even if you know the different key combination for the Mann Zug 3 that could be helpful.
I'm on the latest sky dragon build every once in a while my phone will either crash or the audio won't work (this includes navigation and ring tones.) If it's the latter, I'll reboot the phone but it will hang at the red Verizon screen. If it crashes it'll reboot and hand at the Verizon screen. I'll pull the battery and turn the phone on, but it still hangs. Until I pull the battery and remove the SD (64gb class 10 sony) then I turn the phone on, and it boots doing. Then I insert the SD card and everything work find again.
There've been occasions in the past that for me and for others as well that something's wonky with the Micro SD card that's solved by reformatting the card and starting back from scratch. I know how much of a pain it is to move all your stuff off and put anything back on you definitely want to keep there, but there's not really anything else to try, I don't think. That's the inconvenient aspect of the now getting convenient-sized largish Micro SD Cards.
Good luck!
