Just flash this. It is a bit buggy though but you get the full tablet UI as some apps also change to tablet mode.

[Q] [req] Magic Locker Theme with Pull Down Bar

Hi There!
Does anyone know if there is a magic locker theme like the old HTC theme where the unlock was a bar, all the way across the screen, about 2/3 of the way down the screen, you pulled down to unlock?
Looked similar to the ios unlock except it was pull down.
Would be great if it was even the same colour scheme
Any help gratefully accepted.
Yes look in themes think its JKay .
jje
I might be going blind but I can't find anything under jkay, do you have a link? The MIUI V1 theme is close, except it still has app specific locks, etc.

Something like that except straight across rather than curved. Need to be able to see the time, not much else matters.
Thanks for all your help!

CM7 Navigation Buttons

Only had a really quick look online and couldn't find anything for the Atrix 4G, (the reason why I am asking here.)
In CM7 there is an option for Tablet Tweaks. In there you can place the status bar at the bottom of the screen. The problem is it only does that, it doesn't add the Navigation Buttons.
Adding the Navigation Buttons to CM7 is possible as the feature is in CM7.2 Nook Tablet Build. This feature would be really handy for people that own the Lapdock.
At the moment its a bit of a nightmare moving around the menus etc. while using CM7 with a lapdock without the Navigation Buttons.
I was hoping someone has already had ago at this and could share what they did.
I have been setting up the Atrix 4G as a HTPC/Retro gaming device with the lapdock. CM7 is perfect for this apart from this small issue.

You may install one of the Paranoid Android builds, you can find these tweaks in there (tablet mode, phablet mode, hybrid...)

I kinda need to use CM7 for the 3D hardware. The phone is pretty much dead now as we are not going to be getting ICS. So I decided to turn it into a HTPC/Retro gaming device.
Problem is if I use the Paranoid Android builds things like Netflix, Onlive and Splashtop won't work. So for my little project I need to use CM7 as it is fully supported with the HW.

[Q] Speed Rom 8.0, transparent notification bar - How to disable?

I am back to Speed Rom 8.0 and absolutely loves everything it has to offer. There are minor bugs which can be dealth with if you want a stable, fast and battery saving rom.
Only thing which annoyes me (not ROM itself) is transparent notification bar and status bars. How can I go back to default like in Sense 3.6?
Is it possible? I did search and didn't find anything useful. Its probbaly becasue everyone likes transparent but not my style
20+ views and no reply?
Well while playing around I found settings to change background to any image (my fav all black), its in app called Energy Tweaks installed with SpeedRom.

yes i've tried that but it just gives me an error, when trying to flash in TWRP recovery

[Q] Can I put my touchwiz.apk on another OS?

Mine came with it now, so i was just wondering what would happen if i were to save those APK's (theres touchwiz itself, touchwiz launcher i think, maybe a couple others) to apply on top of a stock android OS??
Is that possible at all? It would be 4.0.4 style, but that doesnt bother me at all. if its possible that is.

Well, yes you can put your touchwiz.apk to other OS, what its going to do is its going to make you device look like samsung device. These are the launchers used to customize the look of the whole ecosystem and that's is the major reason why people drives away from iOS to the Android ecosystem try using the touchwiz launcher and see your device transform onto samsung.

Please do your research before replying.
No it will not work as they need the base touchwiz framework to work properly which stock google doesn't have.
This is the price you pay for running a custom aosp based ROM.

Is there some (fairly easy) way to transfer the framework as well?

No because the frameworks control the whole OS. They are not cross compatible

Hmm, in that case, are there mods available to make every part of the stock OS look like the touchwiz OS, including the notification area?? Thats gotta be my biggest thing that i hate about stock. I love the compact 1 page aspect of the touchwiz version.
I know theres a theme for touchwiz, i tried it on another device. but all it changed was the main screens. settings and notification areas stayed stock. That was a total bummer, i thought i found my solution right there...

Some have a notification setting for the compact tiles but not completely like touch Wiz. I would either get used to not having them or use a stock based ROM. To be honest I would get used to bot having them as with the next update the whole thing is changing again.

Well the one i tried playing with the settings with is the moto G... but there are practically NO customization settings, at all. wallpaper and ringtones were all i was able to find. no notification bar settings, no compact, no nothing.
Im still using my ICS with no issues... im more thinking ahead for the future, will possibly set a couple of roms aside to try. Its gonna take alot to get used to the much uglier notification area though... maybe ill never have to!

Change the navigation bar from global to chinese one?

Hi.
So I was on the MIUI11.EU port from the Mi8 until today, and I noticed how the navbar on this was so much better looking than the classic global one we have on Poco. Today I went to the official MIUI11.EU for Poco since it came out and... Back to the old navigation bar.
Is there a way to change this?
I tried a substratum theme but that just didn't work.
Use MIUI theme store.
Can you please attach a screen shot of the Navigation Bar that you are talking about?
I'm currently on Stock MIUI 10.3.8 (No root, locked bootloader).
With the right theme chosen in MIUI theme store, you can get some really cool Navigation Bars.

No problem, right now the one I have is the first attached screenshot and I'd want to change it by the one on the second screenshot.
So.. No one?
