My apologies if this has been asked already, but I have searched through and can't find anything...
I know that triangle away by CF is used to reset the flash counter, but my question is how do I see this counter?
I've gone into download mode where everyone else seems to have info about there device but when I boot into it, all I have is the green DROID guy and DOWNLOAD do not turn off device, but no info on the top
I'm on Omega v6 rom atm.

In top of left corner. Info about counter and if u are on custom rom. Use triangle away to reset all.
You must enter into download mode ( VOLUME DOWN + HOME + POWER ).... Check under the heading Current status if the data correspond to the real to those of your phone (counter number, phone model, presence or absence of the yellow triangle).

Hi.
I used USB jig to reset my binary counter and to remove the yellow triangle. Well, it worked and reset the counter to Zero and yes it removed the yellow triangle but there's problem. My Samsung Galaxy S2 logo disappeared and some odd logo with duck came at its place. I remembered this used to be my boot animation when I was using MIUI. But now I'm using cm9 latest. When I start my phone this duck logo comes up immediately and there's no samsung logo.
Please can someone help me out. How can I restore my old Samsung boot logo?
Thank You.

GREAT TIP!
Although I didn't get a duck, still it was annoying since it takes a longer time for it to show the Hyperdroid animation (the ROM I use), I was never sure when to release the power button

Your phone is semi brick. Buy a jig from internet or acessories shop and plug in to your phone. It will go to download mode automatic or pick your phone to Samsung Service.
thanks. but can i fix it without jig by myself?

Hi all, I wanted to update my Galaxy S3 (I9300) to the latest firmware and get rid of root seeing as I wasn't using any root features anyways. Jailbreaking IOS is fish pie for me, but Android does my head in (purely because I haven't put in the same amount of time because Android kicks ass straight outta the box ^.^)
I unrooted, did a factory reset and then updated via Kies. My phone still displays my flash counter as 2 and device status as modified.
How can I get back to fully-factory from here?
Big sloppy kiss if anyone can help XD
Cheers, K.

Hello, I got an S2 phone from a friend with a problem, it boot-looped showing only the Model and logo(Where it says i9100G), I tried flashing some ICS stock firmware, it stuck on the NAND write line for a while then failed.
I tried entering Recovery mode before, but it didn't work, maybe I didn't try hard enough but I heard on other threads that deal with soft breaking that this might mean a problem with NAND r/w (Don't know much about this problem).
Anyway, after the NAND problem, the phone doesn't work as it used to, it now only shows one screen with a phone and PC icons(See attachment or link), with a warning sigh in the middle, I thought maybe Kies can handle it, but when I connect the phone while running kies it just keep on trying to connect to the phone and I don't think it will stop for a long while, so I can't use the help of the Kies emergency recovery for now.
