why dont you just flash a prerooted or default system.img?! I assume your bootloader is unlocked else you wouldn't have recovery.

I have a locked BL Sola, rooted and with CWM, if i remove boot.img from CM9.1 and flash the zip through recovery could it work?
No because it needs a custom kernel to boot up, if you remove the boot.IMG you'll have a boot loop

What do I have to do first? Install CWM and flash the kernel, or just flash the kernel without installing CWM, I'm asking because I was having problems with flashing it. Please help

-First update your original firmware to the latest one
-root your phone with superoneclick or flashtool (program for computer)
-unlock bootloader with flashtool
-use flashtool to flash the kernel you want
-then finally you can enter on cmw and flash your rom
The update won't complete normally, even though it says its successful. I'm guessing I need to install this update manually with something like "fastboot flash recovery"?
How do I do this, and where can I get the update?
Do you have a custom recovery? You can't install OTAs with custom recoveries (I think)

You can't install it in recovery(if that's what your attempting).
And as said above you need the stock recovery for it to install correctly. Just install the stock recovery and accept the ota on your phone.

Couldn't find a straight answer so....
I unlocked the bootloader, rooted my phone and flashed CWM.
Then I flashed this
Now I want to flash this
Am I supposed to just flash it with flashtool? What's the proper way to do it?
Flash it with flashtool but wipe all when flash

If you have the firmware ftf, just flash it with flashtool, before you do clear all items in wipe and select all items in exclude, except kernel.
