My Galaxy S2 screen starts to look like photo negative occasionally. It would be mostly black. This gets resolved after a reboot. Has anyone faced this issue before?
I am on VK ROM 5.1.2 with siyah 3.3.2.
With the Siyah kernel pressing the home button 4 times inverts the screen colours.

Initially, I thought there was some hardware issue with my screen and thought of taking it the service center after reverting back to stock ICS ROM.
If you use recent builds of Siyah, you can turn this feature off in ExTweaks.

Im a new user here to please bear with me if I accidentally broke some rules.
To start off, Im a new ROM Flasher and my S2 is currently using the wanamlite v.12 blue ics with speedmod k3-20.
My simple problem is, I noticed that there is no infinite scroll in my wanamlite Home Screen. I am unable to scroll from screen 1 to screen 7 or vice versa. I need to swipe all the screen first before getting to the last screen which is kinda annoying.
I tried searching in the forum and got to this:

PS: I dont really like using alternative homescreen like nova or apex.. I would like to keep my wanamlite stock screen.

When on the home screen, press the menu button (opposite the back button) and see if there are any options for Launcher Settings. If there is, go to it and see if there are any options for the Home screen. Infinite scrolling should be there.

Unfortunately, there is no 'Launcher settings' here.. it only shows:
Add
Wallpaper
Search
Notifications
Edit
Settings
All of the choices does not have the infamous infinite scrolling.. thanks for the help though

LP9 modem is good, as is BULP6, KI3, and KI4. Personally, I use the LP9 modem.

Anyone had this problem?
Randomly I'll wake my phone and it'll be in negative mode (where all the colours are inverted). I can fix it back selecting negative mode, then going back to normal, but it's very annoying!

Maybe you're using Siyah kernel and pressing the home button four times.

bump, I also want to disable this annoying feature too. Every times my son plays the phone, he returns with negative effect... everyone scare! I just learn today it is a never use feature.

Of course you can. Just read the thread or search into it.
In ExTweaks you can disable it.
when you select an email in the email app, it highlights it but overlapps the top part, as in the screenshot? it happens in the gallery app too when selecting a picture.
Confirmed to be in 2.7 too. But I'm not sure if it's just a feature/theme-thing or not.

yeah wasnt sure if it was a design feature or not but it looks untidy
Just to add that Ive played about with dpi. default is 240. ive tried going higher and lower than that. still the same result.
Lockscreen issue
Whenever I unlock my phone, I press the power button and the screen will flash for a second as if it was unlocked, then it will go to the lockscreen. I don't know if it makes a difference, but the same happens when I press the home button to unlock the phone.
Has anyone experienced that and / or would know how to fix it?

I see this on my phone too when I had RR 3.0.9. Quite possibly a bug?

I got my SGS2 just a few days ago. From start, I am experiencing a strange thing.
If I multitap the home button(2-3 times), Each and every colour on the screen inverts.
First, I thought it was some sort of bug in stock ROM, but today when I flashed Custom AOKP ROM, it happened there too.
I tried it on the bootanimation screen and even the bootanimation colours got inverted.
I am using Siyah Kernel.
Please tell if its normal or do I need to replace my device.
P/S: Sorry if this type of thread is already here. I could not find it.

I noticed that 2 on RR and some other roms but on CM10 nothing

If you press 4 times home button and then be Negative mode
If you'd read the either of the Siyah threads/bothered to learn about Siyah before you started using it you'd know Siyah has inverted screen colours as a feature.
You can turn it off in ExTweaks (on the 'screen' tab).

It is normal. It is a feature (MDNie effect) of Siyah kernel which can be toggled on /off by pressing the home button 4 times.
It mod was made so as to invert white pages while browsing, in order to save more battery.

Hey guys, was just reading about the sudden death issue on our phone when i pulled mine out and was aghast to see that all the colors were inverted across all parts of the screen (no matter what app i used)
I did a reboot and it sprung back to normal like nothing happened. phones never been dropped.
What mightve happened?
