Greetings everyone! I haven't been on XDA for a while now. but now that i am back i got myself a Xperia S along way So...long Xperia Arc..

k lets get to the point, Back in 2010 I was a x10 user. during XDA x10 threads, i fell into an app that had an PSP flow a-like. Beautiful app live wallpaper, except back then it ran very laggy on the x10 (since dual..cores werent around llol)
So i said to myself how about i find those apps again and see if they can run better on the new xperia series?
So far, THEY WORK Amazingly Smooth.
it certainly use 44mb quiet, heavy for alive wallpaper. but the Xperia S really runs it without a sweat
Updated; this drains your battery so caution. Since it has accelerometer mode, which is cool but drains ;(

whats with the white circle dot in the centre of the screen? it shows up only when scrolling from left to right or tapping the wallpaper... and its persistent until you wait a while, and if you scorll or tap again it shows up.. using Xperia U anyone else got this problem? tried reboting too..
how to uninstall? cause i want to try both.

DISCOVERY BATTERY KILLER: This wallpaper uses accelerometer and does not allow the device to sleep. Shake your phone and watch the wallpaper react, great eye candy, but no point if it kills your battery and prevents your phone from deep sleeping.
Uninstalled or until accelerometer for this wallpaper function is removed, otherwise nice wallpaper, bad function.
If you would like to confirm this, just download CPUSpy and screen off your phone, wait 15 seconds, and deep sleep will be ''unused'' because it will be using the sensor 24/7. (Use badass battery monitor to check that it is using the sensor 24/7)

Im using a nice looking Live wallpaper called Quads. Kinda has that line wave the default PS3 theme has. Makes the phone look really sleek

wallbase.net is a good site for Wallpapers. They're all different sizes but if I like one I'll take the 5 seconds to resize it properly in PS. Also interfacelift, but I think everyone knows about that site.
I'm kinda bummed that I have a year's worth of VGA wallpapers collected and now I need to change sizes. Oh well.

I'm having trouble finding high quality wallpapers. Even if the resolution is 960x800 or higher the quality of the image itself may look jaggy when set as wallpaper.look at the preloaded wallpaper and it is crisp and clear and almost pops out of the screen, but all the "hd"wallpapers I have downloaded so far are not very crisp like the preloaded wallpaper once set as such. I'd like a black theme wallpaper too to take advantage of the supposed battery life increase.

so I downloaded a couple wallpapers in 960x800 size. When I go in to set them as my wp it makes me select a cropped area and makes the wp look like crap. How do I make the entire image my wp?

Yeah it was all blurry. I figured out how to properly crop though. I kept trying to pinch to zoom, but then I tried dragging one of the borders and it resized it properly. Looks good now.
On the app market search for "Backgrounds," it has a large amounts of wallpapers to select from.

Me and a few friends all share a secondary dummy Gmail account on our android phones. Picasa is the only option set to sync on the phone, as such we can all dump wallpapers to this Picasa account and they will show up on all of our phones in the gallery. Its a pretty neat trick and one gigabyte of free space is plenty enough room for quite a few wallpapers.
Most of the galleries are 1920x1082 images, but they look great once cropped.
The first gallery is one of my favorite current artists, Audrey Kawasaki. These images are meant to be used with alternate launcher apps like ADW, that allow you to turn off wallpaper scrolling. If you hide the status bar in ADW with one of these images selected it will give your screen a nice rounded look.

I Just show em my set up then hand em the phone and let them play with it, let em see how smooth it is how much faster it is, games are normally a good place to showcase the phone, but most non-superusers are simply impressed by the animations on launcher pro and the responsiveness of the phone.

Just go to market and get Flikie Wallpapers. They have from HD, 3D and many many other categories. I got this one from the Android category.

Yes, that is what i ment mate to show off animations on launcher. I think there ar so many good ones out there that can blow anyone minds up. Honestly I just wnat to see few apps for animations so me or others can test them and have some fun by doing it. I started few days ago and I already tested every single rom combine with Kernels on this site until I decide to stick with Trigger and Overstock. Now I have your them and rocks but I will like to have more animations and cool stuff I can run on the Vibrant.

Ha, Check my signature man.. it has how-to's, videos, and even the blank icon.
here is a sample (this one used icons/photoshop.. I also use just blank icons with wallpapers, either way looks good).
EDIT, wow... saw the image you posted in the ninja thread. VERY IMPRESSIVE MAN. Please keep it up... always nice to have new options. Doesn't match my icon set, but I am happy to swap around some for the right image.

Without root, I don't think it'll be very easy to uninstall those system applications. Once rooted, we might be able to freeze or uninstall them either manually or through something like Titanium Backup. Until then, we'll just have to put up with it.

Beautiful Weather Super Tablet widget with the MiuiSplit for the clock skin and Oxygen_HD for the weather skin. Pulse for the new widgets.
Anybody notice that wallpapers always look crap even when you set a wallpaper from a high res image ? i wonder if its only a problem with me.
How are you guys able to change or remove the dock?

I think it's because of how Android is cropping them. You know, for when the wallpaper slides a little when you change homescreens?
It's annoying (especially after getting used to the nice crisp wallpapers when using stock webOS), but I've found a few that I use where it doesn't look so bad. I wonder if those other tablets that use gingerbread have the same problem? All the more reason to use plenty of widgets I suppose.

I use a live wallpaper called "MultiPicture", it allows you to have a different wallpaper or set of wallpapers for each home screen if you want or you could just go with one static image for all, it also has great scaling options.

I use Launcher Pro, you can just press and hold on the dock shortcut you want to get rid of and choose "change shortcut" and then choose "blank".

Thanks for the transformerbread recommendation. I love the size of the soft keys. I had been using honeybread, but that has issues with the status bar. The one thing that's really bothering me is the battery icon goes right up to the very edge of the black status bar. I've attached some screenshots of my homescreen.

I hope this makes some users enjoy their MOTO RAzrs even more!
First thing I noticed is how bland and boring the UI is on the razr and the lack of a very nice clock / weather widget like HTC has.
Fix
DL, "go launcher ex" then search Fancy clock widget it like looks very similar to the HTC sense clock
2nd was how absolutely horribly laggy the picture gallery is.... when searching photos and even worse the zooming feature.

I Found a free app called "QuickPic" Initially it took longer to generate the thumbnails but once that was done it is Veryyy fast scrolling thru photos and the zoom works flawless even zooms much further than stock picture gallery.
3rd was the sound.. again absolutely horrible compared to my HTC incredible popping sounds low voice low bass, I didn't even want to listen to it.
Fix
I read on here about DSP and how apple uses it to enhance the sound so i did a search for DSP and came up with the "equalizer" app. Even without changing any settings it was a night and day difference in sound quality, then you can adjust as necessary. This app runs in background and changes sound for entire phone so once you set it you never really have to go back to it, use Pandora or any player and it will work.
4th I wanted to root to gain wifi tethering but was afraid of bricking my new phone or having unforeseen glitches annoy me even further.
Fix
again Found here on XDA forums a nice app called "FOXFI" no rooting required no fee. Just free wifi tethering with your 4G razr i love it.
5th Im sure we all know about "aptoide" an awesome collection of free payed for apps deff a must have!
6th I just received my "DIZTRONIC" Case and i love it! Very tight fitting quality made all cutouts are in the correct location Very happy with it.

When I get texts or emails, my phone says very clearly in a sultry female voice "Sir, you have a message from NAME" where NAME is the name of the person from my contacts.
My phone will happily read me a story.

Badass Battery Monitor will add a 1% battery to your notification panel and even estimate (based on usage) how much the longer the battery will last for before needing a charge.
Percentage seams spot on except for the last bit while charging up, it will leap from from like 95% straight to 100% like the stock battery thing does when charging.
