I don't think any theme chooser theme touches messaging at this point, other than the icon. Correct me if I am wrong, though.

-Extracted the Mms.apk to SD card. Hang on to it cause you'll need to do this every time you flash another rom most likely.
-Copied Mms.apk to /system/app/ (good idea to rename original just in case)
-Set perms to rw- r-- r--
-Reboot and profit.

Here's the apk. Install like normal app, no flashing no adb. Set it in setting>display>font style. If you don't like it just select default font. OP can include it in the thread.
There used to be a thread with hundreds of fonts in apk for Vibrant some time ago. I don't know why the thread is gone.
How do u get ur default font back. Used the zip yesterday, then seen the apk this morning.

The launcher runs extremely well and is very responsive with some interesting customizations although if you are a widget freak it wont be for you

The pulldown bar looks awesome, the rest of the theme is crap. Thoughts anyone?
Replace the png's in your SystemUI.apk with the ones from this theme...
See How it looks.. Note the things that are left to finish.
Run whats left through the kitchen to finish off.
You will probably loose some of the graphics you copied in the first step cause the kitchen will put some of its own for some modules, but just copy back in anything missing..
That would probably be the easiest route.
How do I make the carrier bar super small like that?
Don't use the labels on the toggles.
Do you have that theme? I wouldn't mind getting a hold of the theme or just systemUi.apk and framework-res.apk???

Its looks very similar to Libert ROM DX2. But ours is missing the icon labels which I prefer, and has an auto sync option. And the carrier label is small.

VillainTheme Engine by D.O.C.
Big Thanks to Snuzzo
DOWNLOAD
So what is VillainTheme Engine?
This is a script that allows a theme to be applied to just about ANY Sense 3.6 ROM even De-Sensed.
Sounds cool how does it work?
It actually extracts the apks then applies the pngs then zips up the apk and zipaligns it.
So this is NOT a just replacing apks on your phone.
If the apk does not exist then it will just skip it.
Who came up with this?
Well Snuzzo and I wanted to change a line of code and call it OURS, but we don't roll that way.
It was developed by D.O.C. its his work.
So whats the Skin for?
The skin is really just the icing on the cake for Sense users. Just install it and add an additional layer of grey.
Sense 3.6 Skin
DOWNLOAD
My goal here was to make the PNG files as small as possible to free up RAM.
They grey isn't all that noticable because I mainly stuck with the system files.
Obviously I can't (well I could) change every icon to grey.
As Always Enjoy!!
BTW if you look my Stock ROM thread you will find two more themes like the above except they are my Red and Blue.

I'll take this one.. I wont need 5 just 2
Guys,
I personally ran an alpha of this. It may not seem like it took a lot of work but actually quite a few hours went into this one. Hope you enjoy! As always awesome work zone.
Edit
Be aware the theme will not apply if using TWRP. You must be on Amon RA.

Is there any way I can 'fix' this issue so I can set a background for my settings once and for all? Thanks, I'd appreciate amy help possible :fingers-crossed:

well try to use modified setting.apk
since some system files are read only and cannot be modified unless you rooted them or use some theme apps patcher.
Its not about permissions etc, I'm able to add other modifications to the settings but I can't get the background to be themed. It is not picking up my background from the framework-res probably meaning my manafacturer has messed around with it

Please try to go more in depth as you are telling me stuff I already know.
