Hello I have an Evo 4G classic flashed to cricket that was recently switched from MIUI ROM to ENERGY sense 3.5. I finally got the MMS and everything working however I noticed that there is no media folder what so ever. The DCIM folder that I guess is normally used to save music and pictures is totally non-existent. What happened to it? Where did it go? Is there an app I can use to sub so that my taken pics can be saved? I am currently using a music player from the market to play music however dont know what to do for photos?

So, I put bamf remix on the phone the night I got it so never got a chance to look at the original DLNA app, but have noticed there isn't one in the Rom. Is there a particular reason why, or a way to get it back? I downloaded an app, twonk I think, but it sucks. Any better solutions? Also I know on phones with hdmi out you could show your screen copied directly and play games on the tv. Can you do this over DLNA? Thanks.

Help Guys I cannot play my music in the cloud with the AMAZE it works fine on my EVO 4G. I log in okay on the amave I see the music bit it wont play just loops any suggestions

mine works fine. i use it everyday
Only problem I have is that it does not read the music I already have on my sd card. It seems to only look at the phone internal card.
OK I solved my problem I am only allowed up to 8 devices once I removed all of the old ones I dont use my amaze works fine.
Is it or does the new version of Allshare app blows in comparison to the old one (S2)?
I'm assuming I'd have to root and deodex my phone in order to copy the old one?

Agreed.. I want the old AllShare back! I tried pushing the apk, but it only starts then FCs. :crying:
Here's a couple of the bad things I've noticed:
The new one is not backwords compatible with the PC version of the Allshare app, therefore installing another web based app
Any video I stream from the phone has to buffer every 10 seconds, unlike the old one, same video, is silky smooth with no hicups
I can't browse by folders!!!!!!!!!! I have scroll through hundreds of videos!!!!!!!!

I pulled the Dlna.apk (allshare) from my sgs2 and it seems to work fine. Only problem is its hard to see some of the fonts for some reason. Still usable though and am attaching it here in case anyone wants to try. Just copy it to system apps. No force closes for me and yeah you need to be rooted. I felt the same about new allshare so I use the old version
Oh and the other issue is your media server will see your device as i9100 since its from that device

They must have made changes from Epic to SGS2 if the epic apk didn't work.
Also, I just realized the other day that you can go into More Settings -> Nearby devices -> File Sharing. You can also share that way. However, playing with it I am not able to stream MKV container videos to my TV. Whereas with the Allshare App I attached above works no problem. You can stream MKVs without issue. The only issue is that allshare is hard to see because of the white theme and the thumbnails look a little pixelated. Its works fine though
Yeah, I miss original Allshare too. I can't seem to find my Onkyo Receiver to ouput to.
Does anyone know a good sense 4.0/4.1 rom that plays 3D video?
As far as I know, Vper3D has it, but I keep losing my data connection in places where I know for sure I have it.

did you try r73? the later nightlies have data drop issues but r73 is pretty stable

Viper3D has no integrated 3D support, however you can use 3D wallpaper and view 3D stills and videos using additional apps.
AFAIK, no Sense 4.x ROM has the camera working with 3D stills or videos, and probably won't since HTC has pretty much abandoned 3D, at least for now.

I trield 3DVPlayer and Phero, but both didn't work. I believe it does have to be "baked in" to the rom...
As for the r73 version of Viper3D, I loaded it on my phone last night, so we'll see how it fares! So far its been little better. Only issue is that it freezes up sometimes...

You're right about Phereo, but I got different results with 3DVplayer.
I just tried Phereo on the Disarmed Toaster CM10 ROM and it shows 3D stills in 2D that display in 3D on MeanROM ICS. That ROM actually has a 3D boot animation but there must be some 3D library or API not available in ROM's that don't support 3D.
3D wallpaper and Phereo don't seem to work with Viper3D r185, but 3DVPlayer was able to play a game intro on my SD card in full 3D. I'm guessing that player has the libraries/API built-in to interface with the 3D hardware while the other apps don't. When I try to use the camera in Viper3D in 3D mode, it closes and/or reboots the phone.

Well, I tried with 3DVPlayer again and it still didn't work (the toggle at the bottom of the player does nothing). I then tried with a few other 3d Movies I had and it only played the one that was taken with the evo 3d itself (on a previous rom).
Because this is the case, is there any way to convert the Side-By Side 3d Movies I have (where I had to press menu -> play in 3d on previous roms) to stereoscopic (i think that's what the evo uses) 3d?

The freezing might be due to the cpu settings. go to venom tweaks and in the last panel theres option to control the cpu frequencies. increase the max screen off frequency to 384. Also you might want to set the max screen on frequency to the default level of 1188. Overclocking might be causing the freezing issues

Hey EM|NEM,
Thanks for the reply, but I forgot to post my solution to the freezing here
It was due to the amount of apps I had on my SD card (128 apps!), so I had to repartition it using ClockworkMod Recovery and use link2sd to link them up to the 2nd partition. Now I have a freeze-less phone that doesn't reboot every 10 seconds!

Does the 2D/3D toggle work for you?
My problem with 3DVplayer is that my 3d videos are all side by side (except for ones taken by the evo 3d itself), and I used to enable 3D playback on the sense 3/3.6 roms by pressing the Menu Button -> Play in 3D, but this no longer works in sense 4...
So I was just wondering if anyone else was having this same issue about the new updates and losing root on the EVO 4G LTE.
So this is what I did:
I had a very old software on my HTC EVO 4G and it kept crashing so I decided to update it (2.1.X.X I believe), after the update was done, I lost root and also I was unable to watch youtube videos. I think this has to do with some configuration settings, however, I could use regular 3G such as web browsing, Facebook, all that good stuff, even Pandora.
Then, Jelly Bean came out and I decided to give it a try, everything went smooth and everything was the same except this time Pandora just keeps skipping songs, not playing any at all. I thought it was the Pandora Helper which skips songs when shaking phone. I removed it and still the same issue. I was just wondering if anyone out there had a configuration so 3G works on video streams and to fix Pandora as well of course. I'm sure that after the Jelly Bean update Pandora stopped working. Wi-Fi works fine on video and Pandora as well so it has to do with 3G configuration. Thanks in Advance.
