Has anyone had any flickering issues with their screens on the GSIII?
I have an ATT version GSIII. Auto brightness is turned off and for the most part the screen seems fine. It comes in nice and bright!
So I was writing a SMS and I notice a very quick screen flicker. It then did it again when I fired up Scramble with friends. It happens every now and then. Could this be a software issue? Anyone got any advice about this? Should I do a hard reset from the phone and set it back to factory? Its annoying at times so I am wondering if I was the only one with this issue.

I'd take it back and get a replacement. Wouldn't take a chance at the screen going bad.
even I have noticd 2-3 times. ..is this big issue or it ok coz its hardly noticable ...

I am not to sure! I guess I will do a hard reset and set things back up. I will report back in with my findings.

I've only noticed it using "Display Tester" app. Go to "Gamma" test and scroll through, on some colours (grey / green) the sides flicker - is this normal?
I had flickering with the old firmware f2 but since I updated with f6 have no any flicker anymore

After updating the official AT&T gingerbread update on my Atrix, my apps not longer works on full screen mode, the screen resolution seems to have changed somehow.
Anyone has the same problem? How can I fix that please?

Firts sorry for my english.
When i put to sleep the phone the screen starts randomly to swith on and off. I reintall all the software a couple of times and when is a fresh install i think that doesnt happen. I have Cm7.2 stable but happens to me wirh the stock rom to.
i only hope it doesnt be a hardware problem.

You probably have an app installed that is causing this. I have read that the app, better battery stats will help determine this app.
Hi guys.
Am on the latest 4.0.4 unbranded in the UK (waiting patiently for JB)
But my screen is not timing out and is draining the battery something chronic, basically unplugged it from charge this morning and have just got the message for the phone to be plugged into the charger.
The display timeout is set to 15 seconds but unless I press the power button to put the screen off then it is just constantly staying on.
Help anyone?

I have to power it off to fix the problem.
Soft buttons remain on too when problem arise.

Might be related to an installed application. I removed Drivelink and the issue is gone.

Drive link is in fact the only app I installed yesterday = uninstall

You have to use Samsung contact/calendar. It won't work with Google contact/calendar

i tried syncing the calendar/contacts.. and is still not showing.. any help?
It started working for some reason starting from this new year. I didn't change anything. Pie is showing for my Google contacts birthdays.

Sorry for taking up this old thread again, but I think that it's better than opening a new one.
Well, the issue is the next: after updating to Android 4.3 stock ROM (the Swiss one: XXUGML2), I have lost the possibility of showing birthday notifications (a cake) in weather widget. The option is not in the configuration menu any more.
Is this a general issue? Any solution?

Hello everyone. I believe my vibration motor in my phone or a link to it may be going bad. My vibrate on touch will work at times but keeps cutting out. Anyone else have this happen? If so... Any possible fixes? I am so used to it now when there is nothing it is weird!

I've got that problem too! It stops after so many vibrations and then it won't work until a different application is used. For example, I type up a text message and it stops vibrating for every character I type after a few keystrokes. I send message then multitask by going to Facebook and then comment on a post and it will do same thing there. Weird, thinking the motor needs replaced or is it a software glitch for the constant flashing of roms I do?
