[Q] Atrix Audio Problem ??? - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi i have atrix 4g and its unlocked and everything i am currently running neutrino v2.8 and want some blur elements...like webtop but the only problem i have with blur is the audio quality. I am big on music and music sounds like crap on blur when compared to cm7 rom (like the bass is flat and everything just sounds awfull and yes i have tried other apps they seem to make no difference). So i was wondering is there anyway the audio drivers from cm7 could be transfered to blur or any other way to make the audio sound like cm7 roms.
btw i use Bluetooth stereo audio headsets (like beats by dr.dre wireless)

Bump

Cm7 has dsp manager, u can set the bass through there, what blur doesn't have! I think that's why u hear better. The audio drivers are the same afaik.

whenever i use cynogen rom the first thing i do is remove dsp audio manager(titanium backup) and then install app equalizer from play store and use that instead. But that same app makes audio sound worst on blur i even ported dsp audio manager ( through titanium backup ) onto a blur rom but that doesn't work either.

Reduce Bass

Anyone know of an app like dsp manager that will allow bass reduction? I drive an s-10, and have a 1000w Rockford P2 subwoofer sitting behind me. Even With the bass turned all the way down on my radio, the bass still overpowers the treble. I ran a rom on my old droid that had dsp manager with a check box for bass reduction, but it won't work on my tbolt. Any ideas?

I can't tell but are you saying that setting in DSP Manager in CM7 for the TB doesn't work? or you just want that CM feature on another rom?

Is it possible to use the dsp manager from cm7? I thought the one I was installing was the right one, but I'm not sure

I'm just saying there is a version of CM done by Slayher for the TB.
And since it's CM, it includes DSPManager which seems to work.

As far as pulling that out and using in another rom, I'm not sure as I've never tried.
I would imagine there are other music players on the market that have equalizer settings like that you can use to reduce bass though, if you don't want to flash CM for whatever reason.
I've got it working with gb BAMF. I was just using the wrong apk (d'oh). For anyone else interested, this link will get you the cm7 dsp manager:

[Q] Audio Codecs

hello all
can we improve our ace's audio codes so that we can get good quality sound in headfones using CM7.1?
Hello you, how is the sound bad?
Yeah, how is the sound bad?
You're refering to a equilizer, aka dsp manager in CM7

Not sure about installing codecs but there is apps which support a lot of music formats! Just search through the top rated apps.
Since you are using CM7, check your "DSP manager", the options there will let you improve the audio.
I tried dsp manager but i found poweramp giving better sound
Well, there you go. I personally like Player Pro DSP better(even though im not using it).
It is like even of u activate bass bosster in dsp bas in annoying

[Q] 30 Volume Steps Bug

Hello Everyone,
This is my first post in the Ace Sectio, Deal with it
I just rooted my phone, installed MIRACLE v4, installed Beats Audio...
and i have a problem...
If i watch a Commentary video (dont mind that with beats audio or without it) The Voice Commentary is Really Quiet, but the music is VERY LOUD! and i can't do anything with this, i think its the fault of the 30 Volume Steps, not of the video, cause on my PC and with other ROM its fine, and commentary isn't quiet... Oh and i installed DSP Manager too, but everything is the same
I'll link a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKJMljrIGuc&list=UUH-_hzb2ILSCo9ftVSnrCIQ&index=2&feature=plcp
Please Help me
Any Suggestions?
Don't change any setting on DSP..using Youtube app or some other streaming app?
And if you've a spare headphone, then try using that to check whether it's the headphone problem.
Using original YoutubeApp Downloaded from Play Store, Xperia x8 Headphones, so its not the problem of the headphones (Its working Quite Perfect on Other ROMS and even on other phones ) Did not set anything in Dsp manager, but i tried to set something, but it wasn't better...

At least check with another headphone will not hurt
if the problem persists undo the beats lib. or re-flash the ROM (no need to wipe if you're re-flashing on the same ROM,you won't get boot-loops) Can I know which beats did you flash? Several out here these days..
I tried 4 Types of B.Audio
And i just realized... The headphones aren't good to this phone, i have to buy a new one
Thanks for the help
And i just installed B.Audio, cause on maximum volume, it wont do weird sounds
maybe the beats audio mod is not compatible with DSP manager, like the case of SRS Trumedia mod?

[Q] The headphone sound is only mono

I have just finished to up rom CM10 PURE AOSP 4.1.2 JBV06.1-Hashcode 12/07. It's seem ok but when i play music/video by headphone, the sound is mono. After that, i back up CM7 it work normal. Do anybody have problem like that? How to fix? Thank

Best audio quality

I run my phone to my car stereo, wondering of any one else does this? What rom/kernel/music player combo. I've found that most aosp roms have poor audio quality, seems to make my subs sound like crap
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
Yep you have to install some equalizer to make the sound decent from an aosp rom, since I use my phone for music constantly I use sense roms for a daily driver.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
Neo CM10.1 rom + IHateWebOS latest test kernel + power amp music program = ear orgasm.
Sounds a lot better than any stock sense rom i have heard so far.
but it also depends on the equipment you have, what settings you have, what you like to listen too, ect.....
Using Vigor360 still. But Sense 3.6 and the Beats mod sounds great. My only complaint is that the Play Music app sounds horrible on bluetooth. Using the headphone jack for Play Music, and any other app on bluetooth sound fine.
Hearing that the AOSP roms don't sound all that great makes me hope there will eventually be a 'leaked' JB update from HTC...odds are not great on that though.
This is easy. Get rid of any sound defects apps (HtcMusicEnhancer.apk, HtcMusicEnhancer.odex, HtcBeatsNotify.apk, HtcBeatsNotify.odex). Turn off any equalizer, or set it to "flat" if it can't be turned off. If your preamp doesn't have enough gain, get Volume+. A direct connection will sound better than Bluetooth. The only reason a ROM would make things sound bad is if it's screwing with the (raw/decoded, depending on the source) bitstream.
I just use poweramp and mess with the EQ a lot.
I use Equalizer with Pacman.

I use to love using DSP Manager, for whatever reason it only seems to work with Apollo now so it's useless to me.
