Hello!
I have accidentally found a touchwiz 5.0 launcher and at first i thought that it was not going to work on our little wildfire. After i have tried it i have to admit that is running pretty good. Give it a try!

To install just push it to system/app and set the permissions to rw r r
and install the apk!
Tip: For better scrolling experience disable wallpaper scrolling!
It's a themed version of Holo Launcher, not really the SGSIII Launcher....

Yeap but it is a very good replica that can give you the taste of the original launcher without the 3d animations that our wildfire can not hold.
unfortunately updating via Google Play isnt possible, says App is broken or something like that. Anyway, its great looking

Ur outdated.. There is a latest touchwiz 3+ Launcher wich is used by galaxy ace..
Sent from LGE Secret phone using tapatalk app...
if someone knows how to edit the launcher, so we can hide the taskbar and tweak the scroll speed both in homescreens and drawer faster, it would be awesome!!
Samsung Widgets arent included :/
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216244 Heres the version my Ace has, It's the transparent version though :L it's still the same I think :L Looks best with Samsung Icons, If you use the CM7 TouchWiz theme and this it will look good.
Should i install this trought Root Explorer ?
The link I provided yes, And make sure to set the permissions properly!
Hello,
i donĀ“t like the TW-Launcher or all the other Home-Replacements. How can I use the stock launcher with my SGS SII (Android 4.0.3)????
Thank you!!!!
Greetings from Germany
I think you might have to push it. Have you checked out Nova launcher? Same launcher, more settings.

It has been mentioned, but I agree. Never tried Apex, since Nova, inside AOKP has always done it for me. Apex and Nova are equally cool, from what I've heard about Apex, lol. Matter of choice.

i like the nova launcher. It's a great launcher and looks like the ics stock launcher
I tried trebuchet from and launcher2 from galaxy nexus, both force closed when adding a widget...
I just copied them to data/app folder and set rights similar to other apps in the same folder. Do i need to do something differently?

Are you on ICS or GB?..
Also, I remember something about pushing it to system/app instead, something about a permission, exactly because of the widgets in app launcher. Try to move it to system apk instead.
Good luck. Launcher2, I wouldn't really count on. Trebutchet, Nova and Apex, I don't see why wouldn't work

Official ICS. Everything works now with trebuchet, had to run apk to install it. Just copying/pushing didn't do the trick.

a skin or theme for 3.6 is usless if we dont even have a rom for it
Launcher for Sense 3.0 and above is almost impossible as it requires some complex scripting. no luck no were

Like, it doesnt have to be sense but have that look. Like ICS Go launcher its not ics but it looks like it is.
Phoenix Launcher gives you a taste of it. But its still buggy as its still in development stages. Also it should be pushed as a /system/app so you can put widgets on the screen.
If you can get ICS Launcher from the market to work then that also gives you a taste.
I wouldn't recommend either launcher for daily use.

Oh! Sorry yeah i see where that is confusing. I wanted it to have like a sense look. Like be like Go launcher or Phoenix launcher but with that sense dock bar ect.
What is the best launcher for Galaxy y?
sTOCk launcher
adw w/ ics icons..
It's a matter of personal preference imo.
Mos popular launchers: GO Launcher EX, ADW, LP
All of those offer tons of customization. If you're after something light try Zeam, FTL or 360 Launcher. QQ Launcher is similar to 360, although 360 is lighter. They offer the same amount of customization.
Another launcher worth noting is Nemus Launcher. You can also try 3d launchers like SPB Shell, TSF Shell, or Regina 3d.

yup it's working even in stock rom, just try it..
Stock Launcher/Holo launcher.
i,m using adw ex launcher with the minimalist theme its simple, very fast and beautifull.greeeeeetz
before i used ADW Ex with minimalist for 2 months, now im on ADW Ex + Suave HD
ADW Ex for me is simply the best, tested all launchers for SGY, be it stock, modified stock, touchwiz, sense, LP, zeam, phoenix, the one on WeUI (forgot the name), and many more,
my simplest answer- ADW Ex lets me do what i want for my screen, has all the options i need and many more, further exceeds my expectations,
you can use :
Stock rom = 1st for me is no.1
ADw Launcher = i dont like this launcher
GO Launcher = not bad launcher
Lighting Launcher = you can get it in market and try it !
.
ADW Ex!!
Used to use Go Launcher Ex! No doubt it's gr888!! Bt it has too much features, transitions nd animations make it heavy!
Now using ADW Launcher Ex.. it's much li8er! using it with Glow Legacy Pro theme!
I only wish TouchWiz Launcher let us modify it more.. then I never would hv tried another one! As I don't like similar apps installed in my device!
Im using a modified stock launcher works great. Simple and Transparent just the way I like it. And I like to keep it as close to stock as much as I can.
Try LauncherPro Sense UI
Looks great along with Fancy Widgets and Nexus Revamped Live Wallpaper
mobint's holo launcher is nice n light. xperia launcher with corner shortcut is also light and a little bit fancy with xperia style.

How do you make it transparent?
There was a guide on that. I installed a hybrid/repencis theme that supports transparency then i flashed the stock launcher with landscape orientation. Theres a thread for that too

Hey wassup everybody!
Sorry if this has been answered before. I know I can find some apps apk on system/app.
For example, I downloaded: Galaxy Pack Live Theme. And I'm trying to find the apk for it but I can't find it. I can find the jpegs but not the apk file.
Where would it go? I'm using Solid Explorer.
Thanks in advance!
What launcher are u using? There isn't an installable apk for it. Find out what launcher it is for and make sure u have it set as your launcher. Then go into settings for launcher and set theme.
This is how it works or use to work for go launcher and adw. Maybe u are using something different. U don't list those details.
Is it a playstore theme? Try the personalize app and look thru live wallpapers and such. Maybe it is one of those.
