Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knew when the Xperia S is getting android 4.0/whether it was worth putting a custom rom on it, depending on how much time there is.
Thanks,
Storm08
Good grief!
This forum needs a like button

sorry to ask m8,
but do you live on a different planet or?.....
It's already out for quite a while and we're working towards AOSP.
What's AOSP and where can I download it?

AOSP is Android Open Source Project. If you need the source, get it at source.android.com
Cheers
Installed, plays great but I'm getting stuck at the Main gate to the castle, do I give the guards the peas or what? He won't take them, says he doesn't like bookshelves!

I would love to see AOSPA on our G5 and I'm sure You too!?
It's pretty unique again and i've planned to support them with a new UI/DPI Switcher Interface which changes the Complete UI of Android to a desired UI like the Tablet One instead of the Phone UI (Like back in the old Days but even better). The Future is lookin bright for the new Team and supporting them right now as Maintainer or Developer is a great Chance to help them to make AOSPA great again.
I can't do that much atm. caused by my missing Internet Connection at Home, but i'm looking forward to that and i would love to see AOSPA from You Mate! I know You have the Skills and i do just hope that You'll find some Time and of course the Fun on it to bring that lovely OS to our Devices...
My Fingers are crossed, i don't want to push You to anything, but i do really think that You are the right Guy for this!

The crdroid link is broken but I'm just very happy to hear it's in development for this phone. I had it on my last two phones and liked it a lot.

CalyxOS and GrapheneOS do OTA updates, not sure about the others (ProtonAOSP not). Might be worth mentioning.
